You can do a simpler mod by bending the back drivers seat posts backwards slightl ( about 3-4mm), free leave the seat in the middle position in the front bracket, and force the back into the lowest position. The modification I did with new holes likely requires removal of the front post to allow for tipping the tank up for air filter and other maintenance. A nuisance, sure, but not a deal breaker for me.
@nedmilburn , will go out to do that now. Odd, I can't flat foot this one. I'm the same height/inseam as you are. It has a Sargent seat on it so that might be the issue. I need it lowered another 1/2...lol
@@jeffreygwinn5081 I haven't experienced aftermarket seats yet. The La Sellerie seat interests me, but it's a gamble to order and I'm not a financially rich man.
@jeffreygwinn5081 For some reason, the oil in the rear shock preload drains. We (st13 riders) don't know if it's a system flaw or if it is the fluid choice honda used. It is easy to clean and replace the fluid... Just be careful not to loose the mini ball bearing for the detent. You'll find info on st owners dot com
Hello. Thanks for this mod. I did this today. Now I am only looking for the spring to come to Czechia to be able to test it. 😂
I'll have to look into this. I just bought one of these and feel the same way.

@@nedmilburn My shock preload isn't working!!! I guess that's why they threw in a shock with the line and adjuster.
