I just want my teens to be teens. Right now they're adults with homework.

Top 5 things I'd like to see would be (not in any order):
Story progression. I want MC command center in the game 😂
Baby update, babies are boring and ugly lol
More things to do with kids and teens, after school activities, running away from home, sneaking out, crushes, sibling rivalry, stuff like that
Farming would definitely be cool, especially if it tied in with the other "off the grid" type stuff we have
A singing career, I totally don't get why you can't be a singer with get famous 🙃
I feel like generations would cover pretty much all of these. Story Progression and better babies would make a ton of sense to incorporate in a patch right before they would release a generations- esque expansion. The pack itself is meant to enhance and expand on every single life state, including children and teens of course, and in the sim 3 they had every single aspect you listed them as needing (though parenthood did incorporate sibling rivalries). Farming should’ve been in Pets (still mad they whittled it down to just cats and dogs). In the Sims Unleashed, farming was one aspect along with pet options like birds and reptiles. The fact that they could do that in the original sims game but not sims 4 is ridiculous. In the Sims 3 they had horses, and active pets. They could’ve just slapped the two together, added in chickens/pigs/cows and had farming be a major aspect of a big pets expansions rather than completely excluding farming and whittling it down to just cats and dogs. I’d be down for active singing careers but it should’ve been in Get Famous, I love that pack but it’s an expansion and it’s so niche that there’s no reason they couldn’t have gone all out.
You can theres just no career but if you sing you do get fame
Yeah, I did the 100 baby challenge and after finishing decided to return to some of my favorites. One of the children had randomized this really cool rocker look and had the musical genius aspiration, so I did a play through of her going from an unknown up and comer living in a rundown apartment in San Myshuno and working her way up to being a rich, 5 star celebrity Starlight Accolade winner by means of spending hours playing the guitar and singing at nightclubs, lounges and bars along with writing and performing her own songs once her skill was high enough. So it is definitely possible to make your sim a famous musician, but it could’ve been much more immersive if there was an active career catered to it, especially since I would’ve loved an option for her to form a rock band.
you can be a musician if you choose the musician path in the artist career, but it's not an active career unfortunally.
even MC command center isnt that good, but EA could totally do something perfect. They just choose to not :/
things i want to see
1. a generations like pack
2. small details like light switches different colour garage doors radiators letter boxes
3. to be able to place walls on half tiles
4. some sort of thing for when parents get divorced the kids have certain days to see the parent they don’t live with full time
5. farming
obviously most of these would be hard to do
Yes. I honestly would be fine if they released the game pack, released a generations expansion after that and then pulled the plug on the Sims 4. There’s so much more we need to see from the game and while I don’t hate it like a lot of people do, the only way we’re getting everything missing from the game is if we get multiple years more and it’s already overstayed it’s welcome.
Ooo great idea with the divorce thing I didnt even think about that. That would be really cool
things I wanna see in the sims 4:
•farming🌾🐑🐄🐔🐖🐎 with llamas maybe
•winter world🗻❄⛷🐧 yap, with🐧
•more occults🦋🐺🔮🌱
•Happy Haunts💀👻☠
•story progression
•maybe some more pets🐍🐢🐦🐇 NOT my first pet stuff 2.0
Some simpler things as well:
•bodyhair
•more tattoos
•more skintones & hair colours
•heterochromia etc.
I am still salty that we got Nifty knitting instead of happy haunts 😭😭😭😭
Was happy haunts an option? Sounds awesome. I totally agree w all these tho!!
@@XVlove I only hope we get it as a game pack at some point🙏🏽 Knew Nifty Knitting's gonna win right at the start but come on, Happy Haunts had such a dope concept😍💀👻☠
@@mangler2435 sameeeee xD
@@kncwmadiscn it was an option, and it include Grim reaper career option... Like, bruh... Grim reaper career vs knitting, and knitting win... I am salty... X( the only thing that keep me happy at night was thinking happy haunts probably wouldn't be that good cause it's a stuff pack
I think there should be things happening to the townies in the game (sure there are mods for it and stuff but it’s RIDICULOUS that they just grow up and die) and also some better baby interactions!!
Yes! I want the townies to at least have skills! Everytime I create a club with level 2 skills required, no one shows up except my own sims. But how is the town bartender not at level 2 of mixology? and when I marry even an elder townie, I have to decide what they will be skilled at. (Edit: Another thing, they are always still at level 1 in their careers. Why? I want to be able to marry a mob boss lol) It's sad how bland their backgrounds are.
Or just...babies that aren't objects and you could sit with them in the rocking chair or something
You can just get MCC, but I understand that not everybody will have MCC, or be able to get it. Better babies are the least of my worries because I'm more of a supernatural player, rather than a family player, but I understand why people would want better babies, and it would be nice to have the option! If you get MCC, the townies will have affairs and divorces and best friends and stuff, but that's only if you turn on certain settings.
Paloma Jaime ooh I might look into that. Unfortunately I play the sims on my MacBook and it’s kind of crap (the MacBook not the game) so I’m not sure it will do very well...
@@loony_toony_yuni I don't have MCC either for the same reason, but I played on my friends PC when I stayed at her house a few years ago, but MCC, unfortunately, takes up a LOT of storage 😢
Here’s what I want :
Curvy stairs - actual babies - bunk beds - revamp of aspirations/life rewards store/personality types in cas - cas skin wheel - terrain tool to make ponds/lakes/etc - and finally a way where we don’t need mods for trees/rocks/flowers/etc to be floating on top of terrain and be able to lower them a bit.
1. an after school pack: more after school activities for kids and teens. i love the game play with scouting from seasons. this could add bands and more instruments as a hobby and add PROM and better school events!!!
2. farming pack. i want to be able to represent my family better
3. better skin tones, body hair, more tattoos, more diverse culture representation.
4. worlds that aren't based on America. maybe like a snowy world or some where in Asia like rural China or a Korean cityscape
5. more vacation spots. this would work well with a now activity pack and make a mountain resort.
After school? Maybe just SCHOOL. I'm pretty sure they're working on a school pack, but idk if it's a priority. It's going to happen though. (Maybe in a few years, lol)
Island living could’ve been an island paradise holiday pack and Mermaids should’ve got their own pack and have had their own underwater lagoon world
Island Paradise broke the game for a LOT of people because of the underwater aspect. I'm glad it's not there.
I would love an underwater lagoon world!
Would would be extremely cool. It's also true that island paradise really fricking broke my game. I couldnt even live in that world, I tried and sorta could, at times. BUT NOT BY THAT WATER, it was legit lag hell
Having it actually separate though, would've probably been a good idea, those two worlds. And I could of imagined a realm of magic like pack but for mermaids.
I would like to see:
- hotels systems. Being able to create hotels,Inn or rent out select room or whole lots by own more than one lot. Being rent to business not just residential, having multiple lot types with the hotel system.
- more activities for kids of all ages tyre swing, tricycle, bikes, hopscotch, skateboarding (so we can have ramps). After school club like team sports & competitive sports, gymnastics, ballet, dance team etc
- more relationship interaction and stuff for couple to do; holding hands, couple swing, slow dance etc
- more stuff and activities for the neglected generations; crawling babies that when grab a chair and stand they become toddlers, strollers for toddler and babies and playpen. Canes for elders . ( have two types of posture for each walk style bad posture and good posture if a sim has a bad posture along with walk when they are older they would need a cane. I notice that the default walk style had a bad posture so I think it need a good posture walk style too).
- Most importantly colour wheel for skin-tones and hair.
Yeah, the dark skintones are really bad and ashy. People on PC can Get the CC skintones from mira but console players cant, also kids bike and stuff wayyyy more than adults so i don’t Get why they can’t ride bikes. The hotels were one of my favorite things from The sims 3 Island Paradise and I really want to be able to Get my sims to go to hotels in for example Sulani
Wow I never thought of it but I would love a hotel expansion pack
@@ashlynbarney2510 hotel or b&b expansion with a new world would be amazing. I've thought out how to do it but unfortunately I know jack shit about modding haha
@@mathildehjorth462 I know, i hate that too. I play console version and it sucks that we can't have CC on it. They need to have a updated on base game for it.
I know there is a mod where you can add after school activities, I think it's made by kawaii Stacie. Sadly you can only use the mod if you have Discover University :c
There is also a mod called passionate romance that allows your sims to hold hands and a slowdance mod (this isn't made by kawaii Stacie)
There is also a mod that let's you get playpens but I don't remember who made it :/
I remember bands being more of a thing in sims 2 Uni coz they finally brought the drum set out lmao
I miss jam sessions!
Back then, when they had a gameplay idea that wasn't big enough for an expansion on its own, they added it to an expansion. Now, they go "guitarr stuff, piano stuff, band game pack, singing stuff, drum stuff"
And that is 600 SEK and not as good as a good old 400 expansion for the sims 2 or 3.
We need hotels and resorts/ a vacation pack that isn't camping pls
Hotels/b&b pack! If you run a b&b on your own residential lot you can use the lock door system to set rooms that way guests won't accidentally go into the living spaces of the family who live there. A room/hotel rating system that you can improve based on experience.. it'd work so well! I think b&bs can be limited to like, 8 guests (if we can have 10 sims on a lot due to roomates then we can have 8 guests with 2 sims running the b&b) and you can set it to self cater or fully catered breakfast where your sim has to take breakfast orders. And then we can have British inspired stuff with a new tea/kettle object and doilies (or sims can knit them of they have nifty knitting) and more classic, dated furniture and a new fireplace.
Hotels can run like 5 star hotels with incorporating spa day if you want to, and have up to 20 sims staying in a hotel but maybe 10 sims go into a rabbit hole like in sims 3.
@@Jill4ChrisRedfeild yes! That would be so cool
Yes! I wish that with island living they had a small “resort island” in Sulani with a couple houses that you could pay to vacation to
I miss not having to get my Sims to make their bed.
Small details.
Yes! Me too. I miss some of the small things.
Tbh I wish they had added the cheating reputation, like in the sims 3, I know they added a reputation in the get famous pack but not a lot of ppl use that. Idk I just miss having consequences when cheating on sims
Cheating reputation in the Sims 3 kind of broke some of the reward trait tho... Like no jealousy become useless because of this reputation pack. So I think they didn't added one in the Sims 4 cause of player reward trait of aspiration... But i still want jealous Sims... Like my sims literally wohoo with someone while his wife just in the outside room and nothing happen, like bruh...
If the Sims 4 introduced cars into the world, I would want it to have the same features that you mentioned, plus the ability to go to the drive-ins. There are already huge TV's in the game, so I could totally see a pack including a massive outdoor screen and a playable lot where you could pull up and watch a movie late at night. It could also be a business lot; you could buy a drive-in and make it different styles, as common or funky or creepy as you wanted. Plus, drive-ins always have concession stands to buy food and stuff, so Sims wouldn't have to be stuck in their cars the whole time, or it wouldn't be a rabbit hole interaction. Also, romantic or mischievous interactions would be quite fun to see with cars included in the Sims 4.
I also agree with everything else you said. 11/10 agree that these things should all be in the Sims 4 soon.
I think a pack with disabilities would make the game more realistic. Elevators, injuries like crutches and casts maybe? Wheel chairs? Functional bunk beds too.
That should be a free update tbh, you shouldn't have to buy a pack to have your disability in your own game :/
Jill4ChrisRedfeild as much as I agree, programming something like this is hard and will be expensive. I’m a software programmer and it seems like everything we update or change costs a lot. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a few dollars at least.
We have elevators in city living but not like the sims 3 ones, it just kinda teleports your sim to the top floor
@@alyxwithay6516 I have a question as a game developer do you know why the Sims 4 has been so lackluster? Like with your experience with game developing do you think it is laziness or something else? I dont know I'm just curious?
@@aomeke8368 I'm a program developer, not a game dev but that would be a cool job! I think any simulation game is somewhat going to be boring no matter what you play. I love the game, but when I make a story, I play it for a while before I get bored and just end up killing off the neighborhood in random weird ways.
1. Traits that actually impact the behaviour of sims rather than just generating random moodlets
2. Actual lifetime goals that impact the sims in some way upon achieving them. I hate the checklist feel of the current aspirations
3. More family gameplay and activities. Most gameplay is geared towards adults.
4. Fairies and werewolves as well as updates to aliens and mermaids
5. Holiday destinations that have gameplay for single sims, couples and families
I want memories back. For townies and Sims you make. They add so much *flavor*.
okay my 5 things would be
1. a car pack, not just cars but proper garages for all our builds
2. a teen pack of sorts, maybe bands like you said it but I wouldn't mind a bigger pack also including things like skating, boardgames and more exclusive teen interactions between sims
3. story progression is a must-have
4. better babies, maybe in an update then we could get a nursery stuff pack
5. HOBBIES, this could include some things I mentioned above but we really need more things for our sims to do at home, could also include interests like in the sims 2
1. Supernatural. Fairies, werewolves, the hole thing like in the sims 3
2. Story progression. I want real life situations happening. I want my sims to have more personality and autonomy.
3. Babies. I want a newborn baby that wakes up every 3 hours crying, dont letting me sleep so the next morning I will go to work feeling like shit 🤣. Things like that.
4. Teens and children, they should have a pack focused only in then, with new features...
Can think of anything else now, but what I want most is the story progression and personality
They gave us everything but those things we actually need.
I am playing Sims3 because miss werewolves and fairies.
They should give us werewolves and a new neighbourhood called Luna Bay. We need Alpha's, Beta's, Gamma's, Delta's, and Omega's.
Along with full moons that interfere with teens who can't control their 'change' into their wolf while at school.
I've thought about this and have so many scenarios that I have written down...just in case, lol.
Supernatural in the Sims 3 were boring, there was a ton of life states but we barely had anything to do with each one. Vampires alone was more fun than supernatural ever was. I truly don’t care at all about fairies or werewolves, and we need missing fundamental content Like NPC story progression, real personality traits (like diva, coward, nurturing, rebellious, avant-garde, overexcited, Star quality, etc.), generations more than we need supernatural aspects.
As you talk about fairies, I really want option to be a bad fairy o.o and a few seconds later you mention it xD
There's a mod that turns your sims into fairies!!
Just yesterday, I had one of my comments about Fairies included in a video by Simmer Iron Seagull, and I'm going to included it below. Lets just day I have some thoughts about fairies:
-
-
For a start, I think that Fairies REALLY need to be updated. My personal idea would be to go for a much more classical, folklore based representation of them. Less Tinkerbell, more the fairies from A Midsummer Night Dream. Have fairies that are highly customizable, so that some have wings, but others have antlers or horns or iridescent skin, bulbous noses, cloven hooves or really long pointed ears. They could also have an elemental alignment, so that some fairies could start fires, while others nurture plants or meld into the water. In addition to this, there could very well be two fairy courts, Seelie and Unseelie, or mostly benevolent vs. mostly malevolent. I could imagine each having an immortal fairy ruler with a unique appearance, and depending on what sort of actions you take, you align yourself to one of these two rulers and potentially gain extra powers, such as the ultimate nature magic or the strongest trickster curse. Just really sink into the lore of it all.
Also, I think there is a very easy way that they could make a full on expansion with both fairies and werewolves in it. Have a pack set in a British moorland area, with dreary gray hills and small ancient woodlands dotted about. There could be a town where on half of the population are all sort of mysterious werewolf types (ala An American Werewolf in London) while the other half of the town could be very nature based and have fairy folk mixing in the population. A lot of fairy legends are from the UK to begin with, so it would go very well with that area. Also, both fairies and werewolves are strongly associated with the moon, so they have that connection.
And here is the link to Iron Seagull's full video on the subject of Fairies in the Sims 4:
th-cam.com/video/PDLxXuLHBA0/w-d-xo.html
I was wondering if someone's gonna link it😃
U had great points tbh.😁 I'd love to see fairies done this way🦋
A THOUSAND PERCENT THIS
1000000% this.
These are the faeries I love to read about and I would be so happy to see them in the Sims
this would be incredible! I love creating "fairy" sims using CC but it would be so much better with an actual pack!
First of all: Update for babies
2: Farm expansion! i wish that the sims 4 had a farm expansion or game pack, they did something like that in the sims 3 store, adding chickens and cows in themes sets.
3: Less north american focus, i know the game is from USA,but would be awesome if they add more diverse content, like east asian items and architecture, african fashion, and more.
4: More musical instruments, bands and singer career.
I haven’t seen anybody talk about the imaginary friend from The Sims 3 I think that’d be an awesome addition to The Sims 4. Who all agrees??
Yesssss i agreee
I HATTED imaginary friends in the sims 3. They were so creepy i always waited till my baby grew up and cheated deleted them. Please never again :(
Totally miss the imaginary friend!
I want to see memories like we had in the Sims 2
Details like kids dropping everything to hug their parents when they got home from work...
Well, basically Sims 2 gameplay.
Farming is at the top of my list too, followed closely by hobbies. I just want a chicken coop, a farmers' market and stuff like nectar making and canning food!
my top 5 things I miss in the game
1. wants and fears (like in ts3)
2. memories (again like ts3)
3. color wheel in CAS for skintones, eyes and hair.
4. NAILPOLISH and nail art.
5. Scarves
I also miss the genetics from ts2, but I see how that is difficult to implement in the game today.
I want horses... and, if there's a fairy pack, I want a big medieval town and medieval stuff for building and customization.
wait..fairies are part of the medieval time? I had NO idea.
i just want more occults give me more ea
I always think she’s saying “It’s the English Sinner” instead of Simmer😂😂😂😂😂
I meaaaannnn 😂
6:45 I love it when my Sim’s boyfriend suddenly has 4 children mid relationship and my sim doesn’t know/care 😍
Things I'd like to have happen in The Sims 4:
- Story progression and more townies interacting/being meaningful. The base game families are so dull (and their supposed relationships don't match the household descriptions which is annoying at the very least).
- As much as I'd like more supernatural states, I'd first like to see an overhaul of mermaids and aliens (and maybe even ghosts and tweaking of spellcasters - maybe locking you into a route so you couldn't become a master of all or something). Honestly, I feel like there's more to do with *aliens* than with mermaids, and they came out in the first game pack! I know that neither of those came in an exclusive pack, but I also kinda feel like that reasoning is malarkey. If they're gonna be in the game, they should make them interesting to play. Maybe even exclusive aspirations for those life states would be more fun.
- NPC police. As annoying as I found them in The Sims 3, I'd like the option to have my teens out after curfew to get picked up and get in trouble - maybe give them a chance to "hide" so that they could avoid the police, which could be fun. I would also like it if the police could be called/show up if a sim gets into too many fights (barring Fight Day holidays or NAPs), and then taken away for a bit. maybe to the precinct if you have Get To Work.
- Being able to see my pets' family trees. It's small and ridiculous, but I like it.
- Some sort of difference with friendships, like if your toddler/child sim had a good/best friend growing up, there could be some distinction or special interactions. Especially if there could be differences between staying friends with them or drifting apart. Being able to have crushes on sims without the other necessarily reciprocating. Stuff like that. Additionally, being able to establish more relationships in CAS (friends, dating, engaged, grandparents, etc.).
I've been playing The Sims for 20 years and I just think Sims 4 is such a let down. I own most of the packs, but only because I get so bored I add stuff in the hopes it'll get better. I love family play and the lack of a generations pack is the biggest let down for me. The game desperately needs more random events to make it more interesting, burglars would be good but more interactive townies would be better.
I completely agree. I've been playing sims since the beginning and sims 4 is my least favorite of them all. 3 is definitely my favorite but I loved the apartment system in 2. All you needed to mark an apartment was the apartment door and boom. Apartment. Sims 3 made it a little more complex but still doable. Sims 4 doesn't even come close. City living is supposed to be the equivalent but just designing the inside of your apartment is not enough. We design the inside of our buildings all the time so how is that special?
As a day 1 simmer, I can never think of anything I'm missing. Sims 4 is in line with my laziness, it is in line with my game play.
Even know I commented 2 days ago this video has been stuck on my mind especially farming. I am such a dreamer. I have been dreaming up some things that would be awesome in my opinion for a pack like that from rustic farmhouse furniture, sheep where you can get yarn/wool for knitting, farmers market where can have wooden crates you put your fruit and vegetables in for sale, a tractor even if it is just decorated, chickens for eggs, you could even maybe include supermarkets and leather work. My mind would love a pack like that. I know it is a pointless dream but I know your community on youtube is kind and welcoming to everybody's thoughts and i just wanted to share it.
I would personally love werewolves. Imagine a werewolf grease monkey who steal chickens and tuck their children into bunk beds
That would be so fun bc I actually like the occult sims
I want the "Sims 4 Making Music." I've been wanting bands since City Living.
Lots of veggies, like carrots, beans, beets, peas ect. Oh that sounds fun. Fairies sound soo Cute
I like your list and would be happy with anything on it.. BUT you said nothing about BABIES lol.. and I really really want better and more choices of playground equipment.. I would like to be able to also run some kind of hotel/bed and breakfast business.. I still want spiral staircases and bunk beds as well..
You nailed everything I wanted about bands and cars omg, especially the Lindsey Lohan reference and mechanic career lol, I want them sooo bad. I’d also love sports like skateboarding and snowboarding and overall more hobbies
I really really really really really want fairies! I know they have a fairy familiar in RoM BUT they can DEFINITELY make them a unique occult.
1) call them Fey instead (like how they did spellcaster instead of witch or something) and make wings/flying optional so you can have elves as well
2) make it like in the sims 3, if I remember correctly, where they can shrink down small and go into a little fairy tree house (for sleeping or woohooing)
3) give them different types of magic! Nature magic (healing wilted plants, making plants grow, increasing a plant's quality, turning Sims into plant Sims or just straight up plants, immunity to death by cowplant, control over the weather with seasons installed, double harvestables, etc.), Mischief/evil magic (make sims hate each other, make sims fall in love, lower food quality {pufferfish anyone?}, make sims clumsy, turn Sims into objects, break objects, turn sim into a statue, mind control sims, freeze sims, set things on fire, make a Sim sad, make a Sim dazed, take simoleons, age up/down a Sim etc.), Good magic (make sims fall in love, give simoleons, age down a Sim, make a Sim happy, bring sims back to life, give a Sim a child/make a sim pregnant without woohoo, improve relationship between two sims, increase skill gains for a Sim, instantly clean surfaces/remove trash/dishes, fix a sims needs, remove evil spell/curse etc.). And you can use nature magic no matter what, but you can only use good OR bad magic, and you gain or lose points for one or the other by using good/mean/mischievous interactions/spells and you use the points to unlock more spells/abilities.
Yessssa I really want an actual nightmarish fae, like those who kidnap your babies and replace them with doppleganger. Instead of a living lot like glimmerbrook and forgotten hollows you got a kind of vacation realm in a magic world that can only be accessed by fae, but the fae can move there or something, and then they can also kidnap Sims to live with them, and replace the Sims with doppleganger. About the magic, I agree, we need restriction in the spells, like spellcaster spell are so bland without restriction and Made every spellcaster the same. Maybe also do it like the Sims 2 witches where you need portent (or something) to cast the spell, but instead of getting it from cauldron, you make it from collectibles and there are certain ingredients available only by gathering it from Sims in a certain emotions OR even make a new system where fae magics require fuel from Sims emotion and the way the spells activate depends on the type of emotion the fuel gathered from. This will make fae less op and also give them things to do even after they achieve highest rank like Vampire with their thirst. And maybe more newer animation on fae magics
Omg bands and singer game pack will complete my life.. having a manger, merch, and hear your songs on the radio
Girl, you nailed it! EVERYTHING I've been asking for for years!
Agreed!
I want a farming pack so badly, this is one of my biggest wishes for the sims 4, I always have my sims gardening, and expanding this kind of gameplay would make me very happy
Vampires is my go to pack. I use it almost every time I play the game. I would like a new good occult to come next, Realm of Magic was a let down, I feel like it needed more development. I agree with the band thing, I have a Sim who in my mind is a famous rock singer but in the game the best I can do she is level 10 in the entertainer career, but it is not good enough. I personally don't care for farming. I play with free will off( cause sims are annoying) so some things I don't care as much for. But I would love the option/ability for negative gameplay actions. If we do get cars, I want the car/school bus to come back when it is time for the sims to go to work or school, not this just disappearing bullshit.
Also would love a new holiday destination that doesn't involve roughing it camping style.
I want: farms, royalty, improved babies and schools, more about families
5 things I want to see:
1.Updated Family/elder pack, canes and more things for elderly sims to do. Maybe prom or some teen events.
2. Farming!!
3. More small pets snakes, turtles and maybe rabbits! Have them be more interactive.
4. Babies be more than objects. 😏
5. More interactive or freelance careers.
i really hope farming would come with supermarkets! maybe you can sell your crops to the supermarkets 😸
Omg, i agree with your list. My major 2 things are farming where having a farmers market, farm animals, etc and more interaction with babies, where you can take them out in a pram, rock them on the rocking chair, bathe them and change nappies.
At the moment I just have to settle with building my farmers with just gardening.
Yeah so I think that they should totally overhaul the technology system in Sims 4. We currently have: Vet, Programming, Rocket Science, Robotics, Logic and Handiness skills. And a lot of these are actually just "how well can you use this machine?". I get that, for example, the vet skill has stuff like "soothe pets" interactions, but at the end of the day, couldn't that come under the animal training skill...? You gain vet skill by using that weird vet machine; not by actually interacting with animals, so it is definitely more of a tech skill than an interactive one.
So my opinion would be to scrap all of them and maybe come up with 3 (??) skills that all of those come under. Mechanics, Electronics and Logic. Or something to this effect. This could unlock skill trees so that, for example, if your sim reaches level 3 electronics, they can choose to branch into either programming or robotics. This would mean that if they implemented a game pack featuring cars, a mechanic career would be more interactive and the options for car upgrades would include more options because different sims would be able to do different things depending on the abilities they unlocked. Personally, it doesn't follow that a sim with level 10 robotics wouldn't be able to operate a machine that makes cat treats, and an astronaught wouldn't quickly be able to bash a robot together with a machine designed to do so... This would remedy that slightly, and make it feel less as though packs are solely confined to the gameplay within them.
Finally, this could bring updates to customisation. I kinda can't believe that we can't view a list of what books our sims have written. With an update like this, I would hope that "make plugin" or "make computer game" would be more customisable and that we could use the things we make. "Make a horror game" would lead you to name the game and then be able to play it later on. Perhaps playing it would give you a "scared" moodlet. THIS would mean that if cars are implemented, the DIY cars could be more customisable and the game would goddamn remember the details about them.
Also, I've been wanting to ask for ages - Mollie, wouldja do another Q&A soon? ^u^
Its kind of in the game already but I'd love to see infant/baby years get more of a toddler type of revamp so its more then just watch them in the bassinet, feed them, and then age them up.
Also playable fae families YES 🥰
Family Pack could include:
- Bands (More instruments e.g drums)
- Driving (parents teaching kids, fixer uppers, weird cars for mid life crisis)
- Prom!!!! And teenage house parties
- After school activities like ballet, zumba, art club
- Hobbies (chicken coops, nectar making, board games, sculpting)
- Drag and voguing
- Casinos, gambling that could affect family life
- More stuff for babies, nursery
- Active baby sitting career, imagine given a list of things to do like cook dinner, play a game stuff like that
- More stuff for elders like bingo, family jigzaw puzzles, walking sticks and wheel chairs
- Family Hand me downs like a chair or old jumper
- Rebellious teenage activities like keying cars, egging houses
- Funfair/Town Festivals with rides and roller coasters good for teenage dates and family outings
- To top it off a really big world that has a beach where you can swim, a downtown and a typical coming of age suburban neighbourhood
I agree with a lot of things you and others have said - story progression, real babies, singing and bands as a profession. So many packs should have been combined instead of being done by piecemeal so related things like tiny living and eco lifestyle wouldn't seem so repetitive because bits of each were in multiple packs. Other things I'd like to see:
1 - Ability to disable packs from main page instead of having to do it thru Origin and having to exit game each time you want to change them
2 - Curved walls and windows
3 - More empty lots in worlds
4 - Color wheel or at least more swatches in both CAS and BB
5 - Farming (I've played most of the Harvest Moon games and Stardew Valley so this appeals to me) - ideally they should have done this ages ago when they expanded on gardening but they can still add farm animals to raise/breed like chickens, cows, goats, ducks, horses etc and you can sell them or their produce (maybe at farmer's market), expand list of crops you can grow, add barn and farmhouse items in BB, etc.
Memory System, Story Progression for NPCs AND Better Babies! The Sims 4 NEEDS these things!
Story progression would make my life 🤩 and a big YES to farming! Love your content Mollie 💕 xx
No, singing and bands should've came with Get Famous or City Living. Those are the packs where it would've made the most sense. The fact that they had guitars, pianos and violins but didn't think to include other instruments is just annoying.
Also, constantly bringing up how certain things like open worlds and horses made sims 3 laggy, as if that game didn't come out ten years ago, is starting to get on my nerves. I'm pretty sure the sims team could figure out how to make things less buggy in a newer game like sims 4. They just don't care to
100% agree. Sims 3 came out in 2009.... You mean to tell me that in 11 years of technological advances we can't figure out how to make sims 3 better and sims 4 is the "better" option just because it has faster load times? Sims 4 has way more glitches/bugs than I ever dealt with in sims 3. Even with glitches sims 3 was still playable... Sims 4 has things so broken they are just useless code now.... Like the freelancer career. Loading speed should not be the deciding factor on what the better game is. Gameplay is.... Sims 3 had a lot more and better game play. The technology we have now seems like it should be able to put sims 3 on a platform similar to sims 4 or at the very least bring some of the original stuff to sims 4. Yes some change is good but don't completely get rid of everything that has made people love the sims to begin with. I didn't fall in love with the sims because they finally gave us fast loading speeds....
Here's my list (and a bonus):
1. More supernatural and supernatural jobs. We had the ghosthunter career in The Sims 3 and it was fun, I wish we could have something similar. Maybe like a medium career, I don't know. I also want werewolves, zombies, fairies, geniuses and more back, with the same importance and playability as vampires.
2. Systems that make sense. Plopsy is not that exciting, I don't know what I was expecting. I'd love to receive the order, choose between posting it (you'd win less money because you're spending money sending it) or going to a lot to deliver it yourself. Like real life local second-hand shopping.
3. Randomness, story progression and something that make me struggle. A lady calling me asking if I want money is not enough, I want more events like that. Also, the townies deserve a better life, they should have babies, marry, cheat...
4. This is impossible, but: BETTER WORLDS. I want to place my lot like I did in The Sims 2. God, I want to create my own world with my own roads 💀 Also, I want a non-Northamerican world. European, Latinamerican, Asian, African... whatever, just give it to me. I'm sick of the American millenial simulator.
5. Adventures, but cool adventures. Remember The Sims 3 World Adventures? Well, that. We can't explore anymore and I want to.
+bonus: Make a spin-off, EA! The Sims 2 had The Sims 2 for DS, The Sims 2 for PSP, The Sims Castaway for DS/PS2, The Sims Stories (Life, Pets and Castaway) for PC and all of them had great stories. Some were different from the life simulation game we know, more like an adventure game, but others stayed true to The Sims gameplay and had great stories anyway. The Sims 3 had The Sims Medieval and that depends more on the actions of the player, but it was very good because the missions guided you and you had choices to make. Now I want a The Sims 4 spin-off, but if it depended on me, I would make a sequel of The Urbz, because I miss that game for DS, and I miss The Sims Bustin' Out for GBA.
I think that a farming pack would be so good. A way to fix the horse issue would be to have them only on a ranch lot type and you could have a show jumping event. Being able to fully live on your land through farming/animals would be really neat. Also a flower crown that is a hat and not a part of a hair would be great.
Rock bands work soo well. They could work with get famous and get together. You can add garage and studio items. You add drama with trying to get along with band mates. Going on tour to all the lounges and bars at all the worlds. It just works.
How do we have jet skies, bikes and brooms before cars
Exactly what I’ve been thinking!
I did like your points about the cars and I rlly hope then end up in the game soon!
1) I definitely want to see a space themed game pack in the future even if it isn't the one that's upcoming I think like living on a desolate planet and maybe doing some scavenging to survive would be a lot of fun! I always thought the like fan made ideas for one were cool but seeing all the discussion of one kinda made me realize that I would really enjoy that.
unusable
2) Giving the windows the extra swatches that the doors all got beck wen island living came out
3) New concepts that haven't ever been explored within the sims franchise
4) I think some more collabs could be fun but with like brands that are more in the general public compared to like the high fashion pack
5) Happy Haunts Game Pack where they expand on ghosts and kinda be like parenthood but for ghosts, giving them that like skill tree that spellcasters, vampires and celebrities have and being able to host seances and like fortune telling or tarot reading could be cool elements I would love to have
Some of the things I def want, Generations type game/expansion, farming, baby update, more life events (high school graduation, funerals, baby showers etc) and more activities for all ages
My top 5: 1) Wishes and fears system (like in The Sims 2), 2) Ability to add lots or "neighborhood expansions", 3) A chemestry system (like in The Sims 2) 4) A fairy or werewolf game pack (or a supernatural expansion), 5) Build/ Buy add-on's (pond tool, split levels, spiral stairs, curved walls).
Plz can you do video where you talk through a mood board of your idea of a car game pack , discussing everything from cas to features or themes
I would love to see an architecture heavy content pack, in homage to all the builders! New doors, windows, colums, architectural features, greenery, floors etc. 🙌🏼
Hunny!! I totally agree with all of your 5 list!!! I would totally die for Fairies, farming, game progression/generations, cars.
1.Amusement Parks or Water Parks , playable and Creatable
2.Werewolf’s & faries (which I think the next game back is )
3.Maybe cars
4.Maybe farms
5.Better babies
6.Bring back an astrology system and better traits
7.Family pack , where you can go on picnic and do hobbies and stuff (Take a break?) (like sims 2 free time)
8. More random bad things /story progression
9.Build /Architecture Career , in game build challenges (become like a Professional house flipper or interior designer )
10. More things for teens to do like prom, after school activities like cheerleading and basketball, clique systems etc
I agree, I want farming so badly! And to see horses again would be great. They should've been included in Cats and Dogs but I would not mind a big farming expansion pack with horses, cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens.
I agree - vampires is so well done and my favourite. I dont think they really nailed the good/evil wizards/witches from sims 2 in realm of magic but would like to see werwolf’s and fairies again. Zombies? That was fun in Sims 3.
I actually think were getting cars within the next year..Just why hint at it so much in Eco Lifestyle if their not bringing them in?. Know its not the same but think of the baby yoda statue from last year - fast forward a year and what do you know, a star wars pack. They love to tease us atm.
Other things I want to see
1) A snow world - aka Sims 1 style with snowboarding included
2) China/Asian Themed Pack
3) Egypt Pack
3) Bands/Singers/Music Pack
3) Some sort of amusement park Pack - could be fun?
4) Farming Pack
5) More hobbies - Skateboarding, Surfing included but dont mind what else - just more skills basically
6) Random natural disasters 😂 - loved the meteor death from Sims 3
7) Lifetime wants/fears separate from aspirations which are too easy and the whims don’t give you much satisfaction. Think the Sims 2 system had it bang on tbh. Also Turn ons/offs! Actually on that..
8) Dating overhall - its way to easy to max relationships and get a gf/bf. Make it more challenging - aka a bad conversation and the other person is in a huff with you for a week - you know just more consequences.
which ties into 8) yer more story progression. Random stuff. Think this is too big though and is probably best left for the Sims 5.
I am so with you on story progression, fairies and a farming pack. It would make my life. I would also really like a hobbies pack like we had in Sims 2(?) as well as after school activities for the kids and teens to build skills. Babies are also really boring. I loved how much work went into the toddlers, I just wish that they did some more work on the babies. Worlds that are based in different cultures/parts of the world vs America as I miss that from other worlds.
I have a thread/discussion on The SIms Forums where I had an idea of a Martial Arts/Chinese Countryside/Kung Fu Pandaesque/Werewolves expanded into Wereanimals of different types with different attributes. I would love to see you talking about it on a video, expanding on it and asking for ideas cuz I love this idea. Here you can read more about it: forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/943363/mystical-living-simplants-and-werepeople-an-expansive-expansion-pack
Spiral staircases, I just want SPIRAL STAIRCASES
Things I'd like-
1. Vespas, ecobikes/electric scooters and motorcycles based on the bike tech that we have now.
2. Story progression - I know MC command center does some things but having it actually in the game would be nice.
3. Fairies YES!! I'd also love werewolves. Also, improvement/updates to occults in general. Mermaids and aliens in particular could use some more love in terms of cas assets and gameplay. More cas options for vampires and spellcasters would be neat as well.
4. Another world or two that was just full of empty lots to build in like Newcrest that could introduce other architecture styles.
5. Additional trait slots for more nuanced personalities.
I feel like if they do faeries like they did vampires it'd be *amazing* (though I personally want werewolves first, I'll take either tbh). Otherwise...I'd love an East Asian/Japanese/Chinese/Korean themed pack and I *really* hope that grim reaper career gets turned into a pack with other spiritual things like tarot and stuff! (Hell, maybe the musician career could go in with an Asian themed pack, since kpop is freaking huge right now. Oh, or an animator career!) Maybe something themed around "bad" sims, to give criminals and evil sims a time to shine, too.
Who else remembered the panic u had if u went to the loo and forgot to pause the game 😂😂
I don’t get that fear now... and I kinda miss it!
In no order of importance, things I think that would make gameplay more unique to each game experience are/is:
*more overall hobbies and family inclusive experiences; figure skating skill, xtreme biking, jewelry making skill, teach your kids how to cook or do any adult life skill (similar to knitting)
*story progression &wants/fear system +compatibility of tS2, ""open world"" and customization of tS3
*age restriced activities; elders can do bingo, fall asleep while watching TV, hard of hearing, arthritis if the knit or woodworked a lot as a child, only teens can sneak out after 9-10pm, children can randomly find frogs or bugs
*a rework of aspirations to be actual goals (not necessarily long term like tS2) and a minimum of three types per category (only 1 workout aspiration still?)
But yeah!
I would love a garage pack!
Including cars, fixer-uppers, garage bands, grunge aesthetic, etc.
1. I would love a pack where you could run your own hotel. Possible it being a lot type so you could pop it in any world.
2. Cars.
3. Farming pack.
4. I want more careers in the sims four. More careers of everyday jobs like fireman, builder, plumber, hair dresser etc.
5.Story progression of other sims in the world. Bob and Eliza deserve a baby!!!
What I want to see in no particular Order: Werewolves, Fairies, Jedi (Cuz that gamepack icon), Bands/Rockstar, Farming, maybe get some Supernatural pets apart from the Ghost Cats/Dogs? I think that'd be nice.
I was so disappointed by the familiars in realm of magic 😭 I wish they could have done more
I have the need to struggle in The Sims 4 and I've tried the challenges, but I want more drama. I can't do everything myself.
The things I would like to see :
1. More traits like in Sims 3 (5 traits), Favorites (Color, Food, Music), Zodiac Signs. I'd like to see where your choices actually have an impact on your Sims.
2. Fairy's, Werewolves, also I'd like to see Psychic added to go along with Spell casters as well as Tarot reading
3. Babies more than a crying rock - Changing table, ability to rock baby and toddlers, walker for toddlers, baby swing, baby monitor
4. Cars, motorcycles, mopeds, more bikes and the bike rack. Mechanic career. Fixer upper cars that would allow for the new mechanic skill
5. More game options - When you turn off the new NAP system it should be OFF in all your games and worlds. The ability for the game to remember different options for different saves.
So if you want the NAP system on in one save but not the others you should be able to do that. Should be the same with the Fame system, aging, season and so on.
Bands and fairies are my dream. And story progression! Thank you for asking for both of these. I would probably buy farming and cars but not my favs.
I want weddings snd romance updated. Slow dancing, picnics more date options and dare i say it ..... attraction systems. More spontaneous romance from other sims that we can choose to accept or reject.
I've got like a huge word doc list of things I'd like to see in the sims. Involving: arcade/casino packs, hotel/b&b expansion, sectional sofas, under-counter mini fridge placements as well as under counter washer & dryer and standing micro ovens and counter top electric hobs.
I've even thought out how hotels or b&bs could work and give us a new world with a beach but isn't tropical, like in the UK.
Oh and please we need a fashion MODEL career, a video editor freelance career, film script writer freelance career that gets writers famous, a fireman career, and YES TO THE BANDS/ENTERTAINER career!! And let children ride bikes and instruments other than the violin. And drum sets.
"under-counter mini fridge placements as well as under counter washer & dryer and standing micro ovens" So much this!! They give us the ability to build these tiny houses but restrict the true ability to build them properly. The appliances are a big pet peeve for me. Why does a coffee maker have to take up so much space? Why can't we place them anywhere on a counter and still have them accessible? Why aren't there wall mounted microwaves? They're little things but grrrrr lol
@@SailorEffinMoon yessss, I agree. And why does a telescope need to be HUGE? In every other sims game its been the size of a tripod. I want the telescope and microscope to be smaller :( as well as more appliances tbh, I want to see more tea kettles like we have in the UK too. And a crockpot/slow cooker..
Doesn’t sound too hard to make a cars stuff pack. Easy animations, almost rabbit hole style. Few cars in different colours swatches and also maybe a remote control car for kids too. And a few build stuff to make a garage. Maybe a mechanic rabbit hole career!? Like it seems easy right!?
the cars pack could have so much potential, it could have an open world so u can drive around to different places in, it could have many different cars at different prices, it could have gas/petrol stations, mechanics (also the new job) it could have car parks, and also garages!!
Curve stairs, bunkbed, farm with horse, cows, picks and chicken, multifamily lots , hotels
I want: a generations-ish pack, fairies, better baby interactions, and I would LOVE disabilities to be represented in the sims. Any time I make my simself or my friends who use mobility aids, it just feels weird seeing them walk around in the game.
PREACH! Tho it's sad I've heard talk about all of these from numerous Simmers...
I like the integration ideas for a farming pack to relate it to past releases and updates. May I also add sheep and wool harvesting for Nifty Knitting? It would be cool to see a pack work with what we have but not in a My First Pet Stuff way.
I definitely would like all of those things shes mentioned. I miss Faires so badly, that was my FAVORITE race in the sims 3 and I wish so badly to be able to make more faires and they would look so good in the sims 4. And I agree that it should be done like the vampire pack, that was a good supernatural pack. Otherwise though, I feel like the 5 things I would like are, and not in any particular order, 1. Fairy game play. 2. Werewolves. Also a favorite of mine. Along with full moon and zombie mechanics that will try and eat your plants. That was a sims 2 feature I rather enjoyed. 3. More game play mechanics that were mentioned and activies, or the after school activies someone mentioned with run away options and things like that. I mostly build, so I'm not sure what would be more missing for me for the game play we already have. But I really liked like the prom and things your could do as a teen in like I think the sims 3 and things like that. And I think along with that kind of stuff, they should also just make it so babies are actually apart of your household and such. 4, yeah, cars honestly, and being able to have the sims be able to run to things more. Like upstairs, because for me when I've played, the sims take sooo long to do anything. And I do haaate all if the micromanagement. But I really wish they could like run upstairs. Or not take a whole hour to their breakfast before work.. they do things so slowly sometimes. And 5. I think build stuff, I would like to be able to delete the walls under my roofs and be able to connect floors on different levels more easily. I dont think it should be against the games mechanics to be able to have a level at one height and another at a other height, actually next to each other without having to do weird work around crap.
I want a Salons game pack where you can run a salon and maybe even get a home design freelance career
Yessss
YES BRING BACK FAIRIES!
I like the farming idea, it'd be fun if you could make a petting zoo to take your kids to. Also, I have to say: justice for guinea pigs, they're never gonna be implemented, but I have to do right by my irl baby and plead for it
I really want some unconventional packs, like a zombie one or a superhero one. That’s a good thing about the Star Wars pack: it’s quirky and interesting and looks more intriguing than most other packs. Same for Strangerville and Realm of Magic.
If they made a medieval pack, both fairies and farming could be a part of it
Greek Islands Destination, Cars, Farming Pack, Into the Future, High School (could include bands).
If there's a Star Wars pack, we could have the band from the restaurant in Space Balls lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
P.S. There are fairies in the Sylvan Glade.
I agreed with the number 4 about Singers and Bands because literally we have the singing skill and so many instruments to make it but there is no careers for it or anything related, so it's in my opinion a completely useless thing to have all this kind of things to not do anything. The entertainment career is boring and so incomplete.
Please. Please... PLEASE! The Sims Team! We need to have better aspirations and a better wants/whims system. I feel like, after some time playing the game, I have an inspirational drought, and I don't know what to do with my Sims, and my story... But if my Sims actually told me what their desires were, it would guide my gameplay a little, and it would be so much better! The Aspiration Meter system from The Sims 2 is literally perfect, and the addition of the Lifetime Wants, Hobby Enthusiasm, and Aspiration failure gave my Sims so much more personnality, and purpose. The Aspirations in the Sims 4 are just repetitive, and boring.
Also! If we get a farming pack, we need to get better plantsims. I mean... Plantsims, cowplants, gnomes and llamas are the litteral icons of the Sims!
Give englishsimmer more views humans. You’re so underrated
Yes to bands!!!! I made Pearl Jam some time ago and I would love for them to be able to have real performances in the Sims. That would really make my year! And you say faeries very clearly and I agree, they would be awesome in the game. I also agree with what you say about vampires, actually all in all I agree with everything you say in this video! LOL
