Yu-yake translates roughly to “evening glow,” referring to the sunset. I think. 😅 Sunburst is pretty close! Classy looking pen, I think! I like the ink combination.
That's a nice looking pen. I've been thinking about getting the Moonman; or Majohn; S5. Pilot Iroshizuku inks are just the best, especially Kon-Peki ( turquoise) and Ku-Jaku ( emerald green ). A nice, dark blue is Asa-Gao which translates to Morning Glory. I dislike orange ink because I always feel like the pen is not putting down enough ink, and I react by pressing harder, when it's just how the ink presents. So, I always choose dark, vibrant ink colors.
I've been looking at the Lamy's as they are all the rage with the EDCers on TH-cam but that Moonman Q1 Stubby keeps popping into my mind when I am looking at grabbing one. This will be my first Fountain Pen...thoughts on INK for the Q1?
I’ve been running Monteverde Jade Noire in mine and really like it. I’ve had good luck with Lamy inks too. I recently picked up a Pilot ink that I liked and plan on getting more. The Lamy Safari is a solid pen choice too. Thanks for watching Bryan
@@SigogglinJack i second the lamy safari, its the gateway pen for alot of people myself included. My favorite is the Kaweco sport brass with the EF nib, It lives in my front pocket and is my primary writing instrument these days.
The Moonman looks cooler by the video😂. This ink really makes it shine!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
If I may say, the Traveler's notebook is delightfully appropriate. Top class. Safe travels!
And to you brother. Many thanks

Thanks for the info! That’s cool. Thanks for watching
I find Pilot inks run a bit wetter and appear broader on the same nib than some other inks I use.
I hadn’t considered that but it makes sense. Thanks for watching brother!

I’m not warming up to the orange either. I might try a lighter blue next. Thanks Teresa!
I have been considering buying a fountain pen. Thank you for the information on these
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
I've been thinking about getting a Majohn. Do you recommend it?
@thestationeryjunkie I do the Q-1. The jury is still out on the M-2. Thanks for watching!
I love fountain pens, but only have two, a Lammy and a Parker
I really like my Lamy. Smooth writer. Thanks Randy!
Ive had this pen on my desk for a while and never leaked, I had red ink in it and did not use it too often :)
This orange ink is not growing on me. Probably going to change it soon. Thanks for watching brother!
@@SigogglinJack I have some orange ink i use for highlights/notes i need to stand out but rarely write full pages in orange
Maybe a leather sheath? Sticking it in a pouch may scratch up the acrylic.
Good idea 👍. Thanks buddy!
I cut out a comic book you set up as a stickers in my notebook.
👍
Very cool.
Thanks 😊

I’m looking for a good budget fountain pen what’s your recommendation?
My go-to is my Lamy Safari. Very durable. Mine is about ten years old and still going strong. About $20. Thanks for watching!

@jeffreykellum Kaweco Sports are a great edc pen for sure 👍
From experience don't get anything out of eBay I got scammed on the Lamy pen. I will stick with Kaweco of Amazon.
Me too. I generally stick to Amazon or if I’m buying a knife I usually buy from Smoky Mountain Knives. Thanks for watching
