    Hey Phil from Fender, just throwing this out there, if you're going to present something, try actually using it. I can read what the box says lol

    Question: if I plugged a USB interface into the USB plug in, would I have more inputs? Like if I wanted to mic a whole band could I add that interface for more inputs

    I have a Venue Series 1. It has six mic inputs. I don't get why Fender decreased the mic inputs from six to four for the S2.

    Is there anyway to utilize 8 channels for vocals or is it restricted to 4?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, Stacy! You technically could with some adapters and creativity, but you're best off exploring larger options with independent components. Like just buying a mixer with enough mic inputs, and some powered speakers.
      Thanks for the interest!

    I know this video is a longtime ago. But can anyone share their opinions with me how the Fender Passport Venue S2 compares with Yamaha Stagepas 600bt and Behringer Europort 2000bt? Which would be best for solo gigging musicians who play to their own tracks and want to hook up effects pedals with their electric guitars? Would you recommend any of these? Or do you think the Line Array/Column pa's are better for solo musicians? If anyone can share their opinions I'd appreciate it. 😁👍

    What is the difference between the venue and the event? Please let me know.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Imli. Thanks for reaching out with your question! The main differences between the Event and Venue is the number of inputs and speaker wattage. The Event is a 375watt 7 channel PA system, and the Venue is a 600watt 10 channel system. If you want to dive in more and see which one best fits your needs, give me a call!

      @sweetwater  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, Bruno. Thank you very much for checking out our videos online. I have personally bought a few of these systems and love them. I bought them for the church I worked for before I started here at Sweetwater. There are two separate outputs on this unit. One is a mono out where you could hook up a separate speaker, if you want. I don't know that I would recommend it due to phase issues and matching eq, etc., but it can be done. It also has a sub out on it to add a subwoofer to the system for extra low end. If there is anything else we can do for you, feel free to reach out any time.

    yamaha stagepass 600 i or Fender Passport Venue which is better?

    • @sorcerer666
      @sorcerer666 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have owned both. Yamaha Stagepas is good but it has a lousy reverb. It;s more like a delay that you find on cheap karaoke machines. The Passport reverb is incredible! Not to mention the Passport has so many more features.

    • @notadogorcat
      @notadogorcat 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get the Behringer Europort500 . Half the price and puts them to shame. The reverb is great too.

    Sir do you have a specific sub woofer for the system or is it okay to use any powered sub on it? Regardless of the rms/wattage of the sub?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! Jose from Sweetwater, here. Great question! There is no specific sub that is made for this system, but you can use any powered sub that you would like since it is a line level output signal from the mixer. I'd love to speak with you more on the details, so feel free to give me a shout at my contact information below. Thanks for the interest!

    • @ACEJONES
      @ACEJONES 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just ordered one today. Will let you know how it goes. I am a solo acoustic singer songwriter. I primarily use my Fishman SAS 220. Will primarily use it for outdoor events so we will see how it goes.

    • @ACEJONES
      @ACEJONES 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had it for 3 weeks and im returning. Sound quality is horrible compared to the fishman Sa220 I also have. No matter how much you tweak the EQ it will not sound clear. Doesnt get very loud either. Speaker efficiency is terrible. Found a somewhat decent tone for vocals but you have crank the treble pretty high. Which means feedback will initiate at higher volumes. Purchased a yamaha stagepas 600I. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS MUSICIAN DONT BUY THIS. Not trying to knock this brand but they have alot of work to do. They had Celestions in the earlier models which I heard were good. But these dont have them anymore. Plus the two band EQ and no feedback supressor was killing me. The usb recorder was the best thing from this which I loved, but my live sound is more important.
      2 out of 5 stars.

      MAURICE ANTHONY Thank you *very* much for your input. How did you find the Yamaha Stagepas 600i?

    • @ACEJONES
      @ACEJONES 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leo Casas you caught me at the right time. It just got delivered today. Took it to an outdoor space where I usually play shows so I can hear it cranked. This thing is a dream. I highly reccomend it! It gets louder than the fishman sa220 with great clarity and depth. Tons of options of scupting your tone with its 3 band eq on each channel and one knob eq tone control. 4 different useable varieties of reverb effects to get more depth. It held up to train horns going by and loud motorcycles passing. the mix still cut through. Lots of headroom for sure. one of my other concerns were feedback. I dont like playing with a monitor so I would need to play in front of the speakers which can cause feedback issues. I the master volume cranked a little over half and I had no feedback issues at all. If I did it was nice to know there was a feedback suppressor if I needed it. All in all I give the yamaha a 5 out of 5. Tons of options to sculp your tone and mix and very portable and more professional looking. Beats the fender venue by miles and its 100 bucks cheaper. GET THE YAMAHA STAGEPAD 600I. let me know if you were curious about anything else! Yamaha knows what they are doing!
