    Very helpful, thanks. I am shopping for a compact PA right now, so this was very informative. My only question is does it have a feedback suppressor? If not, do you find feedback to be a problem? Thanks so much.

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Judge Timbers thanks for the question! Feedback hasn’t been a problem when I use this. A good rule of thumb for any sound system is to start with low-volume, then bring it up to the level you need it. Also, not pointing a microphone in the direction of the speaker. This system is so powerful, that I normally don’t have to go past halfway on the volume. Hope that helps!

  • @edqueener863

    I've got the old 250 and I really like the sound. I connected a EFX Unit to mine, but it was an extra piece to carry, cables etc. Why didn't it have a built in EFX Unit besides the reverb? That would be great.

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment Ed! I usually keep my EQ pretty clean, so a touch of reverb is perfect. Since this system is made for events, most people probably use it for speaking or acoustic music. I have plugged in an effects pedal in before and it worked great!

    nice video, dear. I will be grateful if youcould show how taylor 314ce sounds when miced in through this PA system. because I don't like the sound through pickupsystem. I'm also having the same guitar and I've Roland AC-33 acoustic Amp and I play at my home only. Will fender PA system be a better option as far the natural sound reproduction is concerned?

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ashok Kapoor hi, thanks for the question! I think the amp you have for playing at home is probably just fine. The fender passport system is great for outdoor gigs, and small venues. I haven’t Mic’d this guitar, because I usually play it plugged in, or completely acoustic. If I did mic it, this guitar would probably sound just as good. Hope that helps!

    Is there anyway to record straight to a laptop with this system? I know the Venue has a USB port, and I'm not even sure you can record directly to a laptop with that one either, as I only read about playing files from your laptop, not to it? I'm wondering if you could using an audio interface? I like your sound by the way.

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey jack! Good question. Yes, you could record audio from the PA to a laptop. Here’s what i found about the outputs on the Fender Passport: Outputs:
      2 x 1/4" (speaker out), 2 x 1/4" (line, sub), 1 x 1/8" (headphones). So you could have a 1/4” out to an interface, that connects to your laptop with a USB.

    1. I m planning to buy one system for our community events and its for a medium/big size hall having around 150 peoples attending the event. Do you think this will be a good choice or you have any recommendations?
    2. We have some singers so is it possible to connect wireless mic with this system - if yes then how many ?
    3. Can we connect laptop to play the songs through the speaker?
    Thank you for your time and answering these in advance.

      Hey Kathryn, this would be great! But you wouldn’t need something with this many inputs if you just need a microphone and connect a phone or computer to play tracks. Look into a karaoke mic and amp with Bluetooth or an aux for your phone. Those are inexpensive and portable for small gigs.

      Hey, thanks for the question. I haven’t used it for that so I’m not sure if it’s compatible with a tv. It’s made for more live performance so I would use something else as a speaker for a tv

      Yes it would be nice to know the model. They have several ones depending on the year. I just bought a 150 pro, so visually I can tell that she is not using a 150. Hmmm jeepers

    can we play hardcore music on it with a band?

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven’t tested it out with hardcore music 😂 but I would think as long as you’re not playing it so loud that it blows the speakers, it will amplify whatever you need. I would probably use amps for guitars and loud instruments, and use this system for vocal mics, acoustic instruments or running tracks. Hope that helps!

    does it matter which one is left or right?

    • @LydiaWalker
      @LydiaWalker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can pan the EQ to mix the left and right, but I usually keep the EQ in the middle so then it doesn’t really matter which one is L or R
