A band twenty-five years into their creative output shouldn't be able to release an album as good as their latest one. It's almost inhuman.
Can I ask something? I love post-rock music, but I'm having a hard time enjoying entire albums, or even concerts. I only like a couple songs per album. People talk about Mogwai like they're the pinnacle of post-rock but I don't hear it. Is it just me or is there a certain way to get into the band that I'm not following?

Listened to this song 3 or 4 times before I decided I really like it! Must admit I really hadn't heard of this band I'm a music lover from the 90's I love Moody alternative tunes, Drop the covid masks though guys there's no need now let your music make you look cool not the stupid attention seeking masks when there not required now 🙄

I love Mogwai, but they need to realise that you can't have banging guitars and drums along with vocals with no projection. Doesn't really work. Great song, just SING, Stuart
Yeah, I agree. His vocals sound good, it feels like if he would just turn the mic up and project a little it would be perfect.
Think this is more to do with the Mix here - he can sing as softly as he wants if the Mic is turned up

Yeah the vocals were much louder in the mix during the live broadcast. I suspect they’re lower in the mix here to spare some blushes as the singing was horribly, horribly out of tune!
