Pelvic floor dysfunction is complicated first thing is to determine is if you are hypertonic, unable to release your pelvic floor or second do you have a weak pelvic floor. Kegels if you are hypertonic is not a good idea. Recommend a pelvic floor therapist who knows about men and I recommend calling and talking to the PT before hand to make sure they do hands on treatment. If you are hypertonic internal therapy is a great help and doing self internal therapy as well can improve your issues. I saw improvements after three visits but it took years of me doing self treatment to really see improvement that stuck. note that you may have to go to many PT before you find the right PT
Kelly, you are a genius! I dont understand why you recieve so much hate on your videos but please dont ever stop the content! You have helped me tremendously and by extension my clients with the knowledge and methods you provide. You're the man, oss🤙!
This guy talks a lot of sense. I’ve been dealing with this for 3 years and only now have discovered a solution and it involves all of what this video discusses. You have to find a good pelvic floor physio. I travelled to Holland from the UK in the end and it has solved it. Horrible syndrome. Good luck to everyone who suffers. This video is great. Thanks for sharing.
as i try to improve my system, function and athleticism through yoga, I run into a lot of the same conclusions that Kelly starrett finds through his physical therapy. Different roads, same destinations. It's impressive what people knew back then before modern health sciences.
This the problem with literally every physical therapist. I just listed to 9 minutes of technical jargon , and flexing your knowledge at us and am left with zero solution or game plan. For the love of god coach what’s the program here? More rom in the hips? HOW. PT’s are notorious for focusing on these minute details and failing to see the big picture. Which is why a lot of them, sorry are weak or look like they don’t lift
Kelly starrett is a genius... I ain't even into PT but I can understand him. I think he talks to tell a story and relate it to other PT and people that are trying to understand the body. he has a book and hundreds of videos on how to fix just about every bodily problem.
Zen Atman do I want to watch hundreds of videos or did I click on this video title looking for a solution to a specific problem? Again, no one has given me the solution please no one reply to me unless you have one
it's in the description mate "By no means is this an exhaustive look at the issue - stay tuned for a follow up post tomorrow AND go take a look at our TWO online courses: Pelvic Health for Women and Pelvic Health for Men. You can find both of them here: bit.ly/TRS_Trainings"
Whenever I lift heavy and go for PRs I end up with terrible pelvic pain. I’m unable to have sex or even get hard... but when I abstain from lifting I don’t feel that ??
your injuring your pelvic floor stop and work on strengthening it. Your weakest link in your lifts is probably your core not your limbs though i could be mistsken about all this but I would guess that's the case and when you lift for prs you are getting injuref at your weakest link. Try and find exercises to catch both your core and pelvic floor up to speed. It's better to not be able to do lifts cause your legs couldn't handle thevweight than cause your cores couldn't. Would probably focus on bird dogs but use a band around the leg arm you are doing to add resistance or perhaps starr without the band ans do really high reos since the core tends to need higher rep ranges for growth there's better options too I'm sure.

What about pelvic floor dysfunction and hypermobility where you have more internal and external rotation than most people.
