    Im an ultra runner, late 40s, and have recently began to experience some of the symptoms you cover, as well as weak/delayed urine stream. My hip flexors are tighter than bass guitar strings, so i am going to employ your stretches and see if I can't get myself feeling something closer to youthful. Thanks, Nerd!

    Hi Do you think I have a pelvic floor problem? My issues are that I have frequent urination. Sometimes when I urinate my stream is thin or weak and have to strain to get the last drops out or else they get stuck in urethra and leak. Sometimes I leak urine in small drops when I am just sitting or laying down. I have delayed ejaculation . I sometimes get an electric shock twitching sensation in my penis. Before all these symptoms happen I was always sitting down because I am a college student and rarely stood up, just to use the bathroom or eat and shower and normal things. In April I started doing excercise like sit ups and heavy lifting. Until May 20th is when I experienced all the symptoms I previously mentioned.

    Another source of dysfunction is over active fight flight or freeze center. If you have a chronically over active sense if anxiety or fear, this is going to cause your fight flight center located in the perinium, to be overactive. You will feel this like electricity or static affecting and moving your pelvic floor muscles.

    • @YourWellnessNerd

      Chronic stress may certainly have a meaningful role in the function of these areas.

    Hi sir, I have an anterior pelvic tilt. When I walk, people tell me that I walk like a gay, but I am not gay. Can this difficulty in walking occur because of Anterior pelvic tilt? Is this Because my abdominal muscles are weak and tilted hips??

    • @YourWellnessNerd
      @YourWellnessNerd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Firstly it’s important to mention that there’s obviously nothing wrong with being gay either way, and that walking a certain way doesn’t infer sexual preference. Mechanically tight hip flexors tend to be one of the most impactful causes of a pelvis that tilts forward dysfunctional.

    In the first exercise/stretch:
    Flexing my butt alone is quite an intense stretch on the hip and quad.
    Could this tightness be the reason for my painful ejaculations, and difficulty getting an erection over 75%??

    • @YourWellnessNerd
      @YourWellnessNerd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s hard to give specific advice over the internet sorry mate. It’s best to do two things - 1. Free up that tightness and see what effects it may have, and 2. Speak to someone in person who can assess you and give you the best advice

    I’m diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor, sometimes I’ll to a pee think I’m all finished and then out of no where another flor of urine will come out and I have skinny/flat stools. Are these symptoms of tight pelvic floor?

      Yea much better. Still not “recovered” from time to time if I do something that aggravates the muscles it feels “tight” around the base of penis and surrounding muscles. It’s a weird feeling that doesn’t hurt but is annoying. Fortunately it’s getting better , thinking about it less also helps so to some degree it is psychological

      I went to urologist and they kept telling me I’m fine. I then saw business cards on the urologist’s desk and it was a pelvic floor specialist. So I grabbed one and asked for a referral. I went with her and she used this like ultrasound machine that tested how my pelvic floor contracts and releases. She noticed that when mine would contract it would struggle to release. She showed me stretches and did some dry needling which to my surprise helped A LOT.
      Just go to a pelvic floor specialist tell them what you think and how you feel don’t let money deter you.
      Do you have any other symptoms?
