I'm vegetarian but honestly I don't like the taste of tofu or soy milk. I prefer almond or cashew milk and only very little. I dont like grain products either. I eat a great deal of vegetables in a soup or stew and spoon it over my green leafy lettuces, making a warm tastey salad. Pour on some balsamic vinegar, yum. Then I sprinkle on nuts and flax. I will sometimes put sliced Avocado on top and mix it up in a giant cake mixing bowl. I eat quite a lot but am only 110 lbs. It beats the 170 lbs I used to be. This is now a way of life for me and I am just loving it.
i recommend lower protein diets.... you dont need more than moderate amounts of protein, and fermenting your nutritional staples (beans, grains, fruits, veggies, nuts/seeds) increases the quality of the protein in those foods. you want to choose foods that have LESS protein, so you can eat MORE of those foods and get more carbohydrates to fuel your brain, and muscles...... does this make sense to anyone? its easy to overeat protein, and your body pays a metabolic cost to filter out extra protein.... stop being controlled by the protein industry
The only reason you are here is because our plants are fed with artificial fertilisers and "field chemicals". If it wasn't for the green revolution of the 1940's/50's the global population would still likely be under 3-4 billion.
Most information on the internet about soy is high levels of estrogens. My one friend got horrible mood swings from one large cup of soy milk per day. So yes you need to be very careful consuming soy. After she eliminated it she was better immediately. It effects everyone differently.
Just because the strongest and biggest animals are plant eaters does not necessarily mean that plant protein is also optimal for humans. Our digestive track is totally different than of those animals and most likely we do not process plants the same way.
Agreed Andrew. How can vegans argue that some animals are big and strong because they are plant eaters, and therefore you can be big and strong by being herbivore too? That is such disconnected logic. Of course they ignore that the world's largest animal is a carnivore. They also ignore that the worlds smallest mammals are carnivores too. The evolved diet of a species has no connection with the size of the members of that species.

If your looking for a 'clean' protein, the simple rule I try to follow, is, "beans and greens".

Does all the same go for us in our 60's and older? Everyone keeps telling me I can't get enough on my plant-based diet. An active 65 year old.
Excellent! She is perhaps the most concise speaker for the plant based community.

Hello everyone. Be vegan
Meat made with fertilisers and field chemicals...lovely. Not for me, plant based is my way. Meat and milk is well off my diet.

Being a northerner I keep expecting her to say, "Don't cha know"?
Gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, bonobos - all of the Great Apes (which include humans) - eat some animal foods. So do mice, by the way.

I need research references/sources regarding soy.
why?
something is really hurting the ear, good info though!
Most soy is now GMOs so not a good idea.
GMOs, are an excuse, I sometimes hear people use, for not changing. Change, obviously 'hurts'.
Just avoid the mainstream non-organic soy. No GMO allowed if it qualifies as organic.
No soy
Hi
Video interrupted by ad for Ensure! As if anyone interested in this video would drink that crap.
Is there any truth to that - why is plant protein harder to digest than meat? Why does she say this?
Not that the protein itself is harder to digest, but probably what she means is some protein gets excreted due to high fiber in plant foods
Great info, awful parot pitch💃
:-))
Too much SOY in her diet, negatively influences her voice! lol
Seriously??? I have no problem, and she's not hard to look at either.

DO NOT EAT SOY!!!!
