the explanations are excellent I am a self-taught beginner and your techniques come from ten thanks.
Happy to find another watercolor artist.

Thank you, Paul. I have just discovered you channel and subscribed to it. Great tutorial. Lots of video's to watch to become a water-color artist. Kind regards, Stan.
Excellent Paul! I really enjoyed this, you've managed to pack so much information in this short video from brush strokes, colour mixing, light and shade (and where not to paint the shadow, lol), to creating a delightful little countryside scene. I particularly like the elm? tree, bottom left, I can almost hear a couple of old crows calling from the branches! Really well done and helpful, thank you x
Wendy S thank you Wendy so pleased you enjoyed this one, it was fun to make. Cheers Paul

Thank you for that
Put shadow on wrong side of tree around minute 14., but I really like the 5th tree in particular. Thanks.
Enjoyed watching. Thank you!
I know that this video was done a few years ago but have just come across this wonderful demonstration. It has taught me a lot and am eager to get started practicing these techniques.
I was hoping though that the one tree I’ve been having problems with, the weeping willow, would have been included, but alas, it wasn’t. The weeping willows I have been practicing look somewhat like the tree but more on the cartoonish side, not at all what I’m after. I wonder if perhaps you might do a demonstration on this particular tree. For me they are a very difficult tree to paint and have it look good. I truly need some direction to help me figure out what I’m doing wrong an help me correct it.
I am so glad it helped and has given me an idea for a new course, painting trees at some point, best wishes P
bottom left bears an uncanny resemblance to a view from my apartment window of trees beyond a horse pasture. i've studied those trees and that pasture almost daily and wondered how to paint them... now maybe it's possible for me. thank you
This looks great . Please can you give the size and name of your brush etc for us rookies ?
Thank you for sharing your skills I am very new to water colour painting do you ever sketch your trees if so what is the best pencil you would recommend to use
Helped me a bunch thank you! Would help if you could zoom in closer to see when you do branches, enjoyed so much my trees have been ugly :)
Ill try to remember that Patty, cheers Paul

Hi Donna sorry I missed this. The palette is a hand made Craig Young box that I have copydex glued a few extra pans into (now removed) hope that helps
