My 12 year old Willie has my heart. He was unfortunately disappointed with a very aggressive oral cancer. One surgery debunked the tumor. Second surgery was not advised. I love him more than I can say. Keep a kind thought in your heart for Willie and me.
I ❤Bostons I've had five. All have passed. It broke my heart when yours passed. I look forward to watching Fern grow. Best dog in the world. Congratulation. Congratulations Congratulations
My Boston is 10 years old now. Gave up on crate training his 1st night--he had to burrow under the covers and sleep at my feet, a snuggling routine that lasted 10 years. Now that he's older and nearly blind from cataracts, he wants to sleep solo in a crate wearing fleece pajamas! There's nothing quite like being trained and handled by a Boston Terrier! Fern is beautiful, a true to form bodacious little Boston.
We sent our second Boston, Henry, to the Rainbow Bridge due to complications from lymphoma on 9/16/2024. He was just 8 years old. Saying goodbye to him was one of the most painful experiences of my life. We met him when he was 3 weeks old and brought him home at 8 weeks old. We have decided to wait on adding another Boston to our family due to our 2 senior cats. I look forward to the day when we have a BT in our family again. But I enjoyed seeing this video of sweet (and crazy) Fern. Love those Bostons; they're the best puppers!
Welcome to the wonderful world of owning a boston terrier!! We went through the same things with our female Boston terrier years ago!! Sadly our Boston Terrier passed away in my arms several years ago from cancer, When we got her we nicknamed her pooter because she always had gas a lot until she finally grew out of it! Then it seemed like she became the queen or boss of the house when she grew older! Sadly to this day I still miss our Boston or bossy terrier!!
We just lost our sweet poodle Niles unexpectedly two days ago. Somehow I can across an algorithm of Boston Terriers and have cried tears of joy watching this video of Fern. Thank you for sharing your journey❤️
Our family love our two Boston Terriers. We wish you the very best because Boston’s are worth all the love ❤️ . We live in Ontario and we were close to our breeder. All the best 🐾🐾
I've had my share of these Boston mutts and by watching this short video I can tell you Fern is going to be your best buddy yet ! He's got a face that says it all.
OMG !!! I couldn't have found this video at a better time. Our beautiful 11 year old Boston girl passed away recently from illness. we are heartbroken but want to find another baby soon. I'd forgotten how much energy a puppy has and I really need some advice on "housebreaking" again and crate training. Our girl slept with us from the first week until she died and I know I need to crate train a new puppy. I'm really rusty with the housebreaking routine because our last Boston had been semi-trained by the time we picked her up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !! I'm in love with Miss Fern !! Can't wait to watch more. BTW- we are going to see some pups today and can't wait , hopefully one will stand out for us and we can begin to adopt her.
Fern started sleeping with us after about 3 weeks once she was kennel trained but now when she needs to be in a kennel if we’re traveling or when we leave her home alone (because she’s so naughty unsupervised!) she does just fine and goes right in it. My biggest advice is stick it out and don’t give in to the crying. It’s hard, but if you let them out it just reaffirms that if they cry they get out. Also introduce them slowly and encourage to go in on their own with treats and leave the door open. We spent a few hours that night just by the kennel before going to sleep. And house breaking was tough! Especially when it was below zero when we got her and she HATED going outside. When we’d grab her jacket she would start shaking. Now she’s pretty good but will occasionally have an accident if we don’t stay on top of letting her out every hour. Enjoy your new puppy! Bostons are the best.
@@brianandheatheroutdoors When you were crate training/1st starting out, how often did you have to take her outside? Like how often at night especially? Just wondering what I should expect, I pick up my Boston Terrier female 8-week-old in a couple weeks. Thanks for any help, where/what brand jacket / vest for your puppy? I'm in Maine so it's cold here too, I know she won't like going outside especially cold nights so thanks for any tips or help! Great videos, Fern is cute!!! My breeder said give her mixed wet with ground up dry food but didn't say how much, any idea to start how much/how many times a day to feed?
I loved watching every second of this video! Fern is the cutest little girl❣️ I had a male BT named Jack. He was the best dog, and I loved him fiercely. He lived to 17 years, and brought so much joy. I’m happy for both of you, and especially for Fern! What great, caring parents she’s found. Looking forward to watching her grow. Good luck with the chewing 😉🐾❣️
She’s so adorable! I have a Boston named tulip she’s a year old we adore her! Fern acts similar to tulip so funny , she’s much younger so she was probably teething
Just got my 4th new puppy today. 8 week old boston terrier femaie. She is small and I think she will be more her mom . Shes smart and loves her teddy bear in her crate. She sucking my left arm now as I type.. I had to let go my 7 year old boston therapy dog due to cancer. My breeder drove 2 hrs to bring me mine. Cost me $100 extra but worth it. I have problems traveling..Watching your puppy. as mine washing my left arm..lol my pup is tiny compared to yours
You can form a stronger bond by allowing the puppy to sleep with you the first few nights. Give it everything you have. Dont do anything you may regret
Yeah, mine cried a bit first night, so we put the crate right beside our bed and I could pet him when he would wake up. Secong night he was already much better and after that he just started sleeping in the bed with us. He has no separation anxiety and could always sleep on his own or crate without a problem.
What a beautiful video! I’m in the same situation as you, my old boston terrier of 14 years passed away about a month ago. Her loss was devastating, as she was with me for the majority of my life. She was my childhood dog. We just got an 8 week old boston terrier puppy yesterday, and she’s a spunky little fella! She’s either really sleepy, or really energetic! Never in between. I haven’t had a dog this energetic in years. I love her so much. I’m so happy you got Fern, congratulations! ❤
Where in central Illinois is this breeder? We live in central Illinois! We’re picking up our new girl puppy in 2 days. But we only have to drive 45 minutes. My 7 year old daughter has named her Melody. 💖
Have you ever taken boston terrier on a plane carry on How is this breed on plane What about carrying them in a backpqck while bike riding? I originally wanted a pitbull, but am considering a boston for travel purposes
I see several mistakes. don't put there food in there bed area. you can take 2 crates one for food qnd then other end there pad if they have an accident.. carpet is harder to train with and large area also hard. smaller area with tile and to take out . Right after they wake up
I really cant understand this kennel thing.. I remember hearing parents telling stories about leaving their babies in the crib alone, even though they were screaming and crying. They said "the baby will get used to it'. The baby does get used to it, but with a cost. I have 2 kids, never left them crying for hours in their crib, was always there for them, and they had no issue adapting on their own when it comes to sleeping alone. and they dont have any anxiety if they are left alone. Why cant dog owners have a crib for the dog that they can safely retreat to,, but not force the dog to sleep there, caged in? I had a mid size poodle growing up. cant imagine not leaving the dog roam the house or sleep with us. Especially if its a small apartment dog, thats clean etc
My mom's boyfriend (who passed away seven years ago about this time) used to breed Boston Terriers, and he let me and my husband raise one for breeding purposes, so we were foster parents to a Boston Terrier. (The dog was technically in his name, and he could ask us to return her any time he wanted.) We got the puppy 18 years ago this month, and he asked for her back in November of 2008. Our dog was full of energy, too. (In fact, my stepmother called her the "Dog From Hell".) Since my mom's late boyfriend could also decide when he didn't want a female to have another litter, he could also sell her any time he wanted, so he did in January of 2010, and since it's been that long, our former dog has probably had to be put down by now. The way my mom's late boyfriend operated with his dogs was that if he bred his male with another person's female, he either wanted the price of one puppy (since they're purebreds, they were pretty expensive) or his pick of the litter. The way we got ours was that he got his pick of the litter, and our dog was technically registered to him. When we had our dog, one of my husband's friends came over when our dog was still a puppy. Our puppy would nibble on my husband's friend's chin, and our friend would say, "Excuse me, your name's not Adam. There's only one person who's allowed to do that, and his name's Adam." Sometimes, I would have the dog with me in the bathroom when I'd take a shower. When I'd get out of the shower and start to dry off, as I'd expect, the dog would lick my legs, but when she jumped up and started licking between my legs, I told our friend that, and our friend said, "It sounds like your dog is a lesbian," then he'd ask the dog, "Are you a lesbian, Judy (our dog's name)?"
She was in bed with us after a few weeks once she acclimated and stopped crying and now it works great when she needs to be in it while traveling or camping and things
not a good idea not keeping your pet secure in your vehicle. You would never put a human child on your shoulder as you travel. PLEASe keep your dog in a harness or crate when traveling And air bags can kill your pet
I just purchase a frenchton. After my 12 year boxer passaway from cancer. The frenchton a purchase both of their parents are frenchton so he is 3rd generation frenchton. Fren looks exactly like my puppy Benji he is only 8 weeks old.

They truly are the best! Sadie left some pretty big paws to fill and we miss her everyday.

Have you ever taken boston terrier on a plane carry on
How is this breed on plane
What about carrying them in a backpqck while bike riding?
I originally wanted a pitbull, but am considering a boston for travel purposes
I have never flown with my Boston’s and probably never would. I could see a well behaved smaller one being able to carry on. Bostons are the best.
