    For B5 then Be6 +, Kf6, now black can't play H4 because of B6, so Cxb5, then H4and whether the pawn takes or not, it is Be7 then Bf8 mate

    This is one of the most evil videos I've come across in my life! I am a National Master at chess and I thought I could give the blindfold puzzle a try. So I didn't look at the video but only listened to the audio as GM Ramesh dictated the position. Alas, a part of that audio is silent, when he dictates the pawn on h2! So I visualized the board in my head, but in that position, the pawn on h2 was missing for me! I thought for a few minutes, but I couldn't see the winning idea. I easily concluded that the queenside pawns couldn't promote since the bishop on h3 will capture the pawn that eventually gets to d7. So I thought then the idea must be checkmate. But what to do if Black just plays h4 and creates room for the king on h5? I was extremely perplexed. Then other thoughts came to me - the TH-cam video was about 15 minutes long, so Praggnanandhaa must have solved this in 2-3 minutes, and here I am, a master, not even able to comprehend the idea of the position despite 15 minutes having elapsed. I thought it must be some sort of zugzwang, but even that failed. "Wow, I just don't see it!", I thought, "while Pragg solved it in 2-3 minutes. I guess if I don't solve this it means I'll never be as good as Pragg. Wait... could it be that Ramesh deliberately gave him a wrong position?" 30 minutes elapsed by this time and I finally gave up. Then to my horror, as I saw the video, I noticed the pawn on h2, and also saw that the audio was muted at that point!! Then, having noted that additional detail of the h2-pawn, I saw the idea in 2 minutes.

      i noticed that too it was scripted or deliberately muted i guess could be a mistake

    Hello do you mean to make a list on pen and paper? Or mental list?

    • @prateekkhanna9252
      @prateekkhanna9252 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pen and paper to start with and then mentally

    • @hellopleychess3190
      @hellopleychess3190 ปีที่แล้ว

      it doesn't matter really (at the beginning)
      pen paper is easier, so people like to start with easy ones.
      but in real tournaments I'm sure youre not allowed to and stronger players dont ever do that
      so you'll likely switch to mental list

    After h4, if Be6 Or Be1 check means...?

      Yeah, this should have been covered in the video, because this is Black's best try, but I think White can still go Kf6 and then just play Be7 Bf8#

      Bro, there is no rules, in real life, there are person like bishop, knight, rook, king, pawn, queen etc , in real life also, every person is different, and have its own weakness and strength

    This is just bizarre! I can't even solve the first puzzle while looking at it. It's not like you can just start sovling stuff blindfolded. This is not for normal people. This is some superhuman shit. You just have to be born with some kind of superhuman visualization brain to do this. Not many people can do it.

      Pretty much every kid this man teaches develops this ability, so no, it's not superhuman. It's just disciplined, focused study. Limiting beliefs play a big role in hampering development.

      @@strategygames1026 You are wrong. It's just confirmation bias. Like why is every basketball player tall? Because only the tall ones prevail and get good so that's why 99% of NBA players are bizarrely tall.
      The ones he coaches are the ones with natural abilities. Like PRagg had 19000 rating when he was 8. There are people in my local club who have studied chess their whole life for like 30 years and they aren't even 1500 rated.

      @@Hypercube1729 He coaches ones without talent as well. It's a profession. What you named is selection bias, not confirmation bias.
      What you're indulging in though IS confirmation bias. You think talent is the only thing that matters and hence it's the only factor you name even though many others exist.

      Really? How about you go break a few mutually agreed upon protocols we have in today's society and see where the lack of rules takes you. Try printing your nation's currency on a home/industrial printer yourself and try paying for things that way. Lack of rules, yes?
