I work for Amazon and the amount of stuff that gets returned is INCREDIBLE. Sometimes we have about 20 pallets of returns. From my understanding is those pallets get taken to another facility and get sold in bulk .
Awesome video! I work for Amazon and there's actually a lot of possible paths a return can take. Like If you returned via UPS, they'll usually deliver straight to a CRETS/Relo warehouse (like LAS2 in Vegas or TUS1 in Phoenix), but if you drop it off at a Locker Hub location like Whole Foods or a dedicated Locker location attached to a Delivery Station, it'll first start at the DS, then to a Sort Center (like TCY5 in Tracy), then to CRETS/Relo. There it's determined whether or not to send back to an FC or trash. If you've ever bought an item and it came in a generic plastic bag with an LPN sticker on it, it's been through this process. And it gets even more complicated with Sortables/Non-sort, some FCs/SCs have CRETS/Relo sites attached to them, etc. But yeah really interesting video, really enjoying your content!
Cool, thanks for sharing! What's not in this video is what happened after that camera bag stalled for months. It finally made it's way out to Atlanta (if I'm remembering correctly) and someone bought it at a liquidation reseller. They emailed me and won a free airtag!
First, Amazon shipping is never free because prices of items are much higher than the marketplace. Many times I found items for half or even third of the price at stores compared to Amazon. Many items are sold on Amazon for extortionate prices way above the market price.
Cool video!😉👍💯 Question: By any chance did you happen to make a trip up to *Santa Rosa, CA* on *3/26/2024?* I swore I saw someone who looked almost like you and was holding a camera, I was quite curious...
@AdamDoesNotExist Hey Adam, wow, where to begin... If Russian River, you mean the Russian River Brewery Company, yes sorta in that I walked past it a couple of times only to see a ridiculously long line stretching a block long wondering what was going on. It seemed strange to see a long line for beer this early in the day. However, I spotted you on 4th St & Mendocino Ave in front of Old Courthouse Square. I walked in front of your path only to realize after passing you. You actually looked at me for a brief second before continuing. That's when I realized it might have been you. If you saw someone crossing your path wearing an orange jacket it was me. It's quite the coincidence that you were up there that very same day despite having different reasons why we were in Santa Rosa. I'm pretty sure this won't be the last time. If anything I would not be surprised to see you again maybe somewhere in San Francisco or in the East Bay if I do make a visit there😉👍💯
@@jfungsf882 That's crazy! I think I do remember, but that would have been right after I got out of the brewery, so it could be wishful thinking. If you see me again, please stop me!!
Hate to return things, but the last thing I had was a monitor that broke 1 week after being received. If quality items were produced, returns would be much fewer. In contrast to this, I am now replacing an electric piano I bought in 1993... 30 years ago.
Hey Adam , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with Best Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?

Yeah it's really wild!

Yes! No way. I'm working on a video about Pliny the Younger. Were you at Russian River?

Totally. To me there is a difference between returning a defective product like your monitor, and returning something you never intended to keep.
I just got a wire stripper from Amazon -- missing blades --, so it's hard to believe Amazon would auction off a wire stripper -- without blades. 😢😢😢
Well, that was a wild ride! Interesting.
The more ya know!
Excited to hear if whoever finds the AirTag emails you
Nothing yet. And that camera bag is still in vegas four weeks later. If that changes I'll let you know!
@@AdamDoesNotExistI bet it actually got found upon inspection and they pulled the battery or destroyed it
@@a_ngelo Totally could be
Will the AirTag work in a steel cup?
It sure did!
Love the content Adam! What camera and video editing softwares do you use for these videos?
Thank you! I've got a 15 year old DSLR, and a new mirrorless camera, but I use my iPhone 14 more than any thing else. And Final Cut Pro to edit.
