The game received a massive update today and everything points to a console release very soon !!!

OPTIMIZATION
Optimization of textures, materials and light maps.
Optimization of trailers, buildings and animals.
Optimization of towns: Fairbanks, Palmer, Delta Junction, North Pole, and Paxson.
Overall significant decrease of memory usage.
VISUAL
Totally reworked of the look of the North.
Reworked the user interface on the map screens.
Added the possibility to switch between light and dark UI themes.
Added trailer preview graphics to job descriptions.
Improved the look of fog and made it less dense on lower visual settings.
Improved the cable connecting animations.
Reduced the pop-in of distant areas.
Added company logos to container trailers.
Reworked the texture on dirt roads.
Improved the look of reflections on wet grass.
Made all truck skins available on every model.
Lightened up all the logistic location offices during daytime.
Reduced the colour difference between birch trees seen from afar and closer.
Reduced the brightness of light sources.
Improved the colours of traffic lights.
Improved the contrast and brightness on selected textures.
Balanced the overall contrast of the game.
Replaced some NPCs with better models.
Fixed some trucks having incorrectly applied customization components.
Fixed the flag flickering.
CONTROLS
Increased the speed of map zoom.
Added new controller preset and renamed presets for more clarity.
(Controller steering type determines the general speed and sensitivity of truck steering.
Steering correction curve determines the sensitivity and dead zones of thumbsticks.)
Added the possibility to bind and use the radial menu on a controller.
Enabled scaling truck decals when using a controller.
Enabled switching workshop menu tabs with L1/R1/L2/R2 when using a controller.
Enabled using the truck shop with a controller.
Tweaked controller vibrations.
Improved the communication of binding conflicts.
AI & TRAFFIC
Adjusted the speed of AI cars around dangerous turns.
Improved the overtaking behaviour.
Fixed traffic and navigation near Fairbanks.
Added 35 and 45 mph speed limit signs.
Added a new type of AI car.
GAMEPLAY
Added one new trailer (cement tank trailer) and new jobs
Made more jobs available during the early stage of the game
Made it impossible to die of exposure inside the truck when the heater is on.
Fixed the collision problem with the big boy military chopper trailer.
Reworked the traffic ticket calculation system to make the fines more realistic.
Improved the placement of traffic police patrol cars.
Oil overfill is now communicated to the player in the workshop and via a HUD icon.
Added auto parts stores in Prudhoe Bay and Valdez.
Added bulbs to stores and enabled the player to manually fix the headlights.
Fixed the problem where discovering new cities would not work.
Enabled previewing trucks in the truck store even without having the required license.
Adjusted the fuel capacity of trucks in higher classes.
SOUND
Added the sound of swaying grass and twigs breaking when driving on grass surfaces.
OTHER
Fixed a rare instance of trucks disappearing from the parking spot.

Hi Lee. Great video. This one is looking more of a real trucking game than the others now. It still has its problems but it is looking good. I did notice when you connect and disconnect the air brake cables that it now does look like they are really being pushed together, whereas before it just didn't look right. Great work again Lee. Thank you.

Dont forget, but during the summer months the sun does not totally set. I lived at Ft Carson (around Anchorage) and we could play tennis outside without lights on till after midnight.

This game looks like its improving all the time nice to see more trucking games on a console so be good to see this game on ps5 , xbox one , ETS 2 is looking to be on console with their new game engine in public beta at the moment tbh truck games on console are not great 😂 i always keep an eye on this game
We haven't had much luck have we with trucking games 🤦♂️ fingers crossed this is the one that breaks the mould !
For me , I don't think we will see ETS or ATS on Xbox or playstation until the next generation of console !

in regards to the night time being too bright... Alaska is know as the land of the midnight sun and i have to wonder if you played during the winter months if the graphics would be darker... and yes we are ready for console release already! ...cheers
I was thinking that whilst creating the video , and then I started to doubt my own thoughts 😂😂 so didn't mention it with the risk of sounding stupid , but it certainly makes sense !

hi CGD, where you travelled to Prudoe Bay is the very northern coast of Alaska, that means it gets little or no light hours in winter, i wonder does this game replicate that. im not so sure is this an effective simulator im still not convinced by it in looks or gameplay. The mountains look very 2d looking and they should be darker at nightime.
This is probably the case , will have to drive some more to get into the winter months and see if it gets darker ! If it does , hats off to the dev team !
This game from this video looks a lot better this get as get to make its away over to the consoles

Yes , yes and yes I had noticed there is hardly any other trucks , we did pass a cement mixer truck in the video , but I don't remember seeing anything like ours !

Cdg have you tried playing this game with a wheel?
Unfortunately no I haven't as I use Nvidia GFN to play my pc games and they do not support wheels for some bizarre reason 🤷♂️ but I do know that most of the top wheels work well with the pc version !

They are currently testing the console version , I can only resume it's for that reason !

Yes there is buddy , quite a large selection too ! Just with the game being pretty much unplayable for me in the past , I've never played it enough to unlock others !

I guess no release for ps4? Seems every new game is ps5 only now. With ps3 graphics i don't see why alot of these games are not released on ps4 🤦♂️🤷♂️ end of another era. The closing of another console. Soon to be RIP PS4 😢
