How dumb do you have to be to take a cross-checking penalty? These guys are supposed to be professionals and they don't even know that cross-checking is against the rules. If you hold the stick with both of your hands and you shove the stick against an opponent with force, that's cross-checking. You don't do that by accident.

In the trapezoid. Saw Svech coming through. Refused to get out of the way and possibly intentionally stuck his own leg out. I see no issue with what occured.

Can’t stand the Rangers act like they’re tough now because of that dude. It’s bs
That was totally accidental from Trouba, the elbow attempt was not. He is not playing well and overcompensating with dumb plays like that. However, if you are a Canes fan you want more of the same from him as he tried to lose NY the game last night on several occasions.
@@cal8362 the Skate hitting him was 100% accidental, and he was only air born because of the Canes player (Necas) getting low to the ice. Feet were not off the ice until contact with the Canes player.
The thing with the Trouba hit is that his arm pops out regardless of if he hits him in the face or goes through the body. He has a reputation and his haters will think he’s trying to headshot necas, but it’s normal hockey hit fundamentals. You protect yourself by using the arm to stabilize yourself after contact and that’s why it comes out like that even though he’s missed the hit, just instincts at that point.

He also saved the Rangers from a few Canes' goals. So without him, the Rangers might have lost.
He had a hit and miss game. Don't only focus on the bad.
As a Canes fan, all I know is pain…
I’m a big Rangers fan, but if Carolina plays like that the rest of the way they still have a great chance of winning this series. Especially if the special teams click.
@@GregAllenF1 yeah true, I can’t believe we are 0-10 on the power play so far this series 🤣
@@gtn1658there not winning regardless rangers have so many more high quality chances every game and canes have scored every time off luck or tap ins
You guys won the cup this century. Geez...
@@malcolmapplet4313 what does that have to do with losing a playoff game you should have won in double OT. It was a devastating loss.
I have always wanted more penalties to be called in the playoffs. Cheaters in the box so we can actually see some hockey.
That was a warning for flipping shesterkin. You wanna play dirty? I didnt think so
that was the weakest croscheck call of all time bro loses an edge from getting tapped on the rear, and trouba is by far one of the dirtiest hitters in the league i dont care what people say his elbow is almost always flying in every hit.
And the Canes got away with about 8 different non-calls, probably 2 in OT alone. It evens itself out, cry me a river. They had 2 PPs in OT and did nothing with it (or the rest of the game).
Cry me river lol, people get so butt hurt of someone opinion now, rangers played well canes didnt so what doesnt change the fact it was a soft call, that doesnt get called 95% of the time, the inconsistency of Nhl ref game to game is a bit of an ongoing issue
Say what you want about Trouba, but there isn't a team in this league who wouldn't take him on their team.
Would they have to take his dogshit $8M contract too? Because I can name 32 teams who wouldnt be particularly thrilled with that number for the often liability that is Jacob Trouba
@@blindidiot382yeah they'd take it
@@BKDBut lmfao. No.
@@erikmacaluso lmfao. yeah
@@BKDBut especially not at that cap hit. Sad to see they have you on a lethal dose of copium.
Anyone else who’s watching the ESPN coverage thinks that Ray Ferraro is a complete rangers hater? Also Rangers in 4 or 5 anyone?
I thought that the officiating of this game was not good. Many blown calls by the refs both ways and there were a few calls before this going Carolina's way. I feel the refs had to call something at some point and it just looked soft because it was but it made up for many of the bad calls throughout.
Rangers in 4 guys 👍
Lets go Rangers
Trouba is one of the dirtiest guys I’ve seen since Matt Cooke.😂
wahhh
Cry harder.
@@Justme77400 well I’m an Avs fan, so it don’t really mean much until we see y’all in the finals. If the Avs had Trouba I would still acknowledge he’s a dirty player.
Go Canes
😂
Trouba is sooo dirty
WAAAAAAA
@@tareva1 nobody's crying you loser 😂😂
Rangers causing Chaos!
Doesn't matter Rangers won't win the cup. Come back to this comment in a month.
I hate to say it, but they gotta run igor.
They already have
LGR!!!
How dumb do you have to be to take a cross-checking penalty? These guys are supposed to be professionals and they don't even know that cross-checking is against the rules. If you hold the stick with both of your hands and you shove the stick against an opponent with force, that's cross-checking. You don't do that by accident.
What a bummer. The Rangers are so unlikable.
Oh they're very likeable. Panarin is a hilarious and talented gem. Trocheck is beloved wherever he goes. Igor is a funny Russian shutdown goalie. Kreider is a blue collar workhorse that any teams' fans would love
You just don't like Trouba or Rempe. Who you'd absolutely love to have on your team
Oh, and of course you're jealous of the City of New York and our importance to the world 😉
Those announcers and really the entire league seem so butthurt this is happening and i love it. the Rangers STOLE a game last night. Like great hockey teams do. & your opinion on the Trouba hit as actually so fair, just happy it didnt connect and need to move on from it but yeesh that slow mo is nightmare fuel.
Svech's hit on Shesterkin was more egregious than Trouba's non-hit on Necas.
In the trapezoid. Saw Svech coming through. Refused to get out of the way and possibly intentionally stuck his own leg out.
I see no issue with what occured.
@erikmacaluso Svech had a clear path. Svech choose to collide with him at full speed, stuck his stick into his legs and lifted it to flip him. Total dirty move. He should've gotten a major.
@@Desert-Father dude was taking up over half the space behind the net lol
@erikmacaluso half means half was open. And svech skated right at him
@@Desert-Father over half means less than half on the other side.
Reading comprehension is hard 😞😞
Trouba was the best Canes player all night gtfoh😂
Yeah f trouba Let’s go back to the earlier in the season when he would not fight Deslauriers remember that one?? Nic was begging him and he wouldn’t do it because he’s not tough. He’s another chump cheap shot like Rempe. Yup I said it the dude should be undefeated. He’s a freaking lurch. But he’s not he’s lost a handful of fights. Can’t stand the Rangers act like they’re tough now because of that dude. It’s bs
Trouba sucks. Also keep your skates down man, a dude died from that recently jesus christ
That was totally accidental from Trouba, the elbow attempt was not. He is not playing well and overcompensating with dumb plays like that. However, if you are a Canes fan you want more of the same from him as he tried to lose NY the game last night on several occasions.
@@GregAllenF1leaving your feet to launch into a hit isn’t accidental
@@cal8362 the Skate hitting him was 100% accidental, and he was only air born because of the Canes player (Necas) getting low to the ice. Feet were not off the ice until contact with the Canes player.
He’s batter then u
The thing with the Trouba hit is that his arm pops out regardless of if he hits him in the face or goes through the body. He has a reputation and his haters will think he’s trying to headshot necas, but it’s normal hockey hit fundamentals. You protect yourself by using the arm to stabilize yourself after contact and that’s why it comes out like that even though he’s missed the hit, just instincts at that point.
Hes got some pretty fuckin dangerous instincts then
Na. Dude's dirty, it's okay, you can come out and say it, this is a safe space.
Bottom line: Carolina will not win this series, Anderson is not the goalie that Shersterkin is..that is the difference bottom line, period! Carolina can't allow more than 1 goal a game if they want a chance.
PuRe BS call in double OT.
It doesnt matter who you root for, it was pure steaming BS. 💩
It was a crosscheck that knocked a dude to the ice? How is that BS? A bit soft, no doubt, but still a penalty
I am still taking Canes in seven
That means they should win 4 of the next 5? Not going to happen with the way the Rangers are playing right now and they are playing like Presidents Trophy winners.
😂
Its A Bold Strategy Cotton, Lets See If It Pays Off For Ya
They ain’t happening you’ll be lucky if they win a game
I would love to make that bet with you.
How much?
This game sucked because it was the best game of the playoffs but ends because of a completely BS call. The refs robbed us of a great game
Hurricanes are going to obliterate the Rangers in the next game
Game 2 outcome wasn't decided by the players unfortunately.
Go 'Canes!
Sure it was. The refs didn't make the decision for the Canes to go 0/5 on the powerplay, including 0/2 in OT. The refs didn't decide that Igor would make 54 saves. Refs didn't decide Canes would blatantly trip Rangers 3 times in the 3rd which led to a Kreider game tying goal
The game went into double overtime and you want to try to boil the outcome down to one thing so you can cry about it. That's pathetic.
Horrible take, if you’re flying into the boards you brace yourself, simple as that.
I hope he feels that for the rest of the playoffs.
Trouba missed, so move on
Surely that means he'll clean up his act now.
Let’s fucking go Rangers! We want the cup
2OT and a betteman call. Thst was a cheap call, and at blueline skating away from net/scoring chance. Hmmmmm had to meet gambling odds?
Oh please the Canes got two PPs in the OTs. The difference is special teams. The Rangers are 4/9 through two games and the Canes are 0/10. You can't whine about penalties when you're getting more opportunities and you can't convert on any of them.
Canes had two opportunities to close it out in OT.
@@eroq doesn't mean that call was good lmao
@@supershot9729 It was a cross check in the middle of the ice that was going to lead to an odd man rush the other way. In the corner, it doesn't get called.
