I live in michigan and a die hard Rangers fans. My whole life cbc hockey night in canada. This the feed i was able to watch. Its always better than espn.
ESPN was garbage during this game. Cameras and Sound messed up the entire game. Mid-play they switch to a player in the bench or the goalie. They even switched the broadcast to Avs-Dallas during a power play.
ESPN is awful. All McDonough does, is, talk about statistics and challenges for whoever is the visiting team, and gets back to play-by-play as the mood suits him. He also sounds as if he’s hosting his fantasy, television talk show: “Not So Late Night with Sean McDonough”.
NHL on NBC was amazing. I was born in 2002 and that was my whole childhood watching hockey. Mike Emrick and Dave Strader were the best play by play broadcasters I’ve ever listened to. ESPN’s coverage is just awful.
Oh man this call rocks. I'm also gonna assume it didn't cut to warmups of the Dallas in the final 30 seconds of regulation like a certain american broadcast did
Unfortunately most people can never afford a ticket to go to an event there. I’ve been to very few events there because it’s not affordable. Knicks fans were able to go to Philadelphia for cheaper than MSG. Including the tolls and hotel reservations. It was still cheaper than going to a Knicks playoff game at MSG. I’m blessed that I took the Islanders as my team back in 2011 even though the Rangers were much better at that time. My family moved to Long Island from Stamford CT in 2008 so that’s why I’m an Islanders fan. I can definitely afford to see them play on most nights with the exception of big rivalry games and playoffs.
It’s a great place to go to any time for anything but man for the playoffs there’s no place like it. Also congrats on winning the first pick. Hope you guys get the player you need to turn things around. I would’ve been soooo mad if Chicago got it again. I know they pick second but they just had themselves a dynasty let someone else get better for a change.

In the 70s 80s I would catch 10-15 games a season at MSG. The crowd looks very yuppie to me. Vito the pipefitter from Brooklyn has been replaced with Buffy and Skippy from Connecticut. With a couple of kids on cell phones all game.
ESPN is straight up trash and you can tell they rather see them loose. They blab on about something not game related when a ranger scores and then they say (whoever it is) puts it in and rangers win. No emotion, no nothing. They are all like that. It’s a crying shame msg can’t broadcast the second round and up like earlier years. Crying shame. I can only imagine Sam’s call on this goal.

Because the Rangers get more goals on the power play than even strength. Hence their constant flopping on the ice. Can't even blame them for it either because it keeps working. Embellishment apparently doesn't get called anymore.

Georgiev is not an everyday goalie and never has been. Colorado is a great team in spite of a bottom 10 starting goalie and even an average backup by the numbers.

@@JayzBeerz Correct. 0-2 comebacks happen at least once a year. 0-3 has happened 4 times in 107 years. It's almost impossible to beat a good team 4 games in a row who just beat you 3 in a row. If the Rangers get one game in Carolina (preferably game 3 to pad the lead and crush Carolina's spirit further), they've probably got a 90% chance to close it out in game 5.

I am not superstitious and have no qualms about saying that. But we NEED to take 1 game in Carolina and come home 3-1. It's not over until you win on the road. And 2-0 is not a safe lead because at least one team comes back from that every year. This Ranger team is special and feels different.

@@eddie7151 I agree. He hasn't played as well since the injury, but a liability everytime he's on the ice? This d unit is the best the Rangers have had since 94. They can play different combos and not suffer. When Fox went out earlier in the season, they went on a 10 game streak. Trouba and Lindgren on the PK is rock solid. LGR
@mergspvy saying he's a liability might not be the best choice of words but since he's been back from his injury his play hasn't been great and his drop to the third pair tells you all you need to know, he wasn't great tonight 3 penalties and a horrible turnover in the neutral zone that lead to guentzel goal when his game is on he's solid he doesn't take stupid penalties and he's not turning the puck over but I have a feeling that he might still be hurt and he's playing threw it
that's why his play hasn't been great the last thing I want to do is criticize the captain he just needs to be better. LGR.

@@JayzBeerz Correct. 0-2 comebacks happen at least once a year. 0-3 has happened 4 times in 107 years. It's almost impossible to beat a good team 4 games in a row who just beat you 3 in a row. If the Rangers get one game in Carolina (preferably game 3 to pad the lead and crush Carolina's spirit further), they've probably got a 90% chance to close it out in game 5.

Think maybe I misunderstood your post, I thought you were saying the Canes would come back from 0-3 because Peter Laviolette did it 3 times, I was really confused but no matter, we are on the same side, I'm still going Rangers in 5. It's very hard to sweep any team (not including the Capitals), much less a great team like the Hurricanes. But I agree, if we win game 3 it is all but over, and it may be over in 4. Teams that are 0-3 usually know their run is over and sometimes mail it in, and against an undefeated President's trophy winner, it is all but a foregone conclusion. I am not superstitious and have no qualms about saying that. But we NEED to take 1 game in Carolina and come home 3-1. It's not over until you win on the road. And 2-0 is not a safe lead because at least one team comes back from that every year. This Ranger team is special and feels different.
