Great knives, I just put that corn cob jig copperlock in my most recent video because I traded it to Doomcrew Outdoors for a Back Pocket. That Soddy is a great looking blade as well!! Fantastic story of you and your grandfather hunting for blades and carving those bears!! You are correct about those shotgun shield's, the soddy goes for over $120 alone. Thanks for sharing these great blades, Definitely Subbed!!

Yes, many years ago when I was about 10 or 11 years old. It was something I spent 2 summer vacations working on.

I love the copper lock. It takes a true talent to do those carvings, I do well to trim a pencil. Great video

Case quality control is terrible. Their designs are nice, materials are decent. Their execution ranges from a good knife, to terrible. Far more of them are on the terrible side. Loose wobbly blades, cracked scales, proud pins, gaps, bad transitions, blades rubbing each other...
I have a couple nice ones, but I will never buy a case knife unless I can handle it first, and dig through a pile of them to find a good one.

To me, that is the fun part. Going to those old Ace hardware and seeing what is in the case. Checking each knife so you get the best one. Then driving home and holding it the whole way!

@@JohnKlahr Yeah, getting a good one is nice and I do enjoy mine... But to me it makes it clear that the whole "American made" doesn't mean what it used to. It's very clear that they don't take pride in their work, when the good ones are the exception rather than the norm. Many of the Chinese brands are far higher quality and better made, at the same or cheaper price.
