I work for General Electric and 80% of desktop / laptop support is from Bobby in India. They can hire a person with Masters in Computer Science for peanuts from India.
Of course there are limits. Is still tough to get a job as a TN worker, and most employes will only want us to be there for at least a year or 2. We can't apply for full time job positions. We are meant to return after our time is over, and we are often abused and mistreated as TN workers. We are no taking away jobs at all. There are still thousands of jobs postings only available for USA citizens only.
I asked about a tech job opening located in Monterrey, NL. I was explicitly told only Mexican applicants would be considered. The average salary for a software engineer in NL is about USD $38K per year. Lots of laid off software engineers would be grateful to earn a USD $38K salary.
My friend your work experience is not technical and so it is normal that in these bad times your position would be pared down substantially. Most intermediate to senior software developers or their managers will handle the tasks that you do (scrum master, pm etc..) as part of their regular job role. (And they do in small to medium size companies and / or projects )
Many of those foreign workers especially from India 🇮🇳 can do the same tech job cheaper and more efficient without bankrupting a company with Americas demand for high salaries without putting in the work
Which Americans are you comparing to. I am an American and have competed very well against all foreigners. In fact it takes 3 to 4 persons from India to do my job as a software engineer, which is more expensive.
@@davidm8705 I work in tech and Indian. I am working in one of the top tech company. And sorry to say that but most of the Americans are just lazy and don't want to work. After little stress they will go out straight with 1 week pto. And my manager wants to get rid of him but can't do it to save image that we are not anti American company.

That seems to be the case.
Politicians just don't care about the plight of tech workers unforunately.
That's true.
You should use the TN visa as a US citizen and come work in Canada. The greatest country in the world!
Canada is the Little brother of the United states./
What could go wrong? 😂
Tn visa has no cap
Yea, you're right.

Same quailty, sorry India no, I have had to clean up your messes enough times. Just like your cooking, your code is sloppy.
