How to Tile Shower Walls and Surround

Our upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The shower surround is 55 inches high. The 24 inches above the shower is covered with sheetrock which is susceptible to moisture. In this video we show you how we tiled this area with ceramic tile. We did seal the grout, but this step is not included in this video. We hope you enjoy and please subscribe to our channel. I am curious about what you did at the top of the tiles along the ceiling..caulk or anything? Also, along the top of the shower wall where the tiles begin. Did you do anything special there to seal that area? Thanks.

I am trying to remember. I think I use a grout at the top and bottom. Remember, the top of the fiberglass shower should be L-shaped, so there is little to no chance of water reaching the sheetrock. Did you apply the aqua defense over pre-painted walls? If so, do I have to sand it first?

I did apply aqua defense to the walls before installing the tile. I did not sand the walls. By the way, the installation still looks great.
