    I like how practical his solutions are. No need for special tools or materials. Using aluminum foil for the template.

    I suggest using a rolling-pin(or drink bottle) to smooth out the crease when you glue the fabric to the the cut-out.

    “Great idea” for leaving extra material around the edges, and using the chloroplast boards for insulation! Thank you! Like you, I tried all kinds of things but this one is spot on!

    I agree with many commented, brilliant with tin foil and colowhatever material! And duck fabric. Flaps act as light/air seals and provide that friction fit! Now this is one way I will invest in. I've seen bunch but none worth investing in.
    Great job! Excellent presentation!

    I ended up using just 1 layer of fabric and keeping it longer on the top and bottom so it folds all the way, covering the white. I also left the top side even longer so that it creates a strip of fabric that hangs down I can easily pull when I want to take the shades down.

    Really great video on a tough area to get right. I would have liked a last-look of the vehicle exterior with those fairy lights on and the covers in place to see if there was any light leaks, but I'm guessing it was perfectly stealthy! Liked and Subbed 😀

    Using the reflectix then wrapping that in the black cloth vs just corrugated plastic would give you better insulation for the cold/heat. Still wrapping it in black cloth would make it stealthy as wanted, and it's rigid enough it would work about the same.

    • @MountainSpringsAdventures
      @MountainSpringsAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    With the spray adhesive and the summer sun/heat, do you have a lot of fumes/smell? Was not sure if you need to air out the car a few times to vent the smell. Also does the heat make the hot glue soft come undone? Thanks

    • @MountainSpringsAdventures
      @MountainSpringsAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no the 3m 90 spray adhesive does not stink in the sun, that's another reason I recommend it. I know the gorilla glue spray adhesive, loctite spray adhesive, and the other cheaper spray adhesives do smell like super glue when they sit in the sun.
      the hot glue does become a little soft if it's it's in really hot summer sun for a while, but not too bad, you just need to be careful when you pull on them when they are hot like that

    It's not a mold. It's a *pattern.* A mold is something that another medium (rubber or cement or something is poured into, to take on the exact 3D shape of the mold. A pattern is an outline of an item or surface, which is then traced onto the final material, whether that's fabric or plastic or cardboard or whatever.
