@@ericenjoysearth2756 Hi Eric Details may change, there may be many new and bright ideas, but all of these will be secondary to the ability to analyze problems. You are really good at deep and deep thinking. These heady results are unlikely to be bad anyway. For me, too, catch a few waves in the sea and enjoy life.
Thank you Atila! I am sure that you will end up with a jewel! I did not know that there was surfing in Turkey. I just took a look at what it looks like on the web. This is pretty nice! 👍 Thank you for making me learn something new today! Have a nice day my fellow surfer!✌️
Oh Eric, I so appreciate you 💖💖💖 Your videos are so clear, informative and useful. By far the best out there. No frills, just the important stuff. I feel like you really respect our time and try to make videos that are as to the point and easy to follow as possible. Also, an added bonus for me, that lives in Sweden (which is on the same latitudes as Alaska) is that what you share in your videos work for all weather conditions, not just for snowbirds and such. Thank you and take care. Love from Scania 💙💛💙
Thank you Scania for this awesome comment! You made my day! 😃 This comment is a good source of motivation to keep producing videos! I love your country! ✌️

You really are a brilliant source of knowledge and information. I truly am beyond appreciative 💕 Ps. Love your country to. Have only been once but am looking forward to coming again, this time, with my van 😃

All that thinking phase and search of what you want is a really fun part of building a van! You have to build it in your mind at first! If you have any questions do not hesitate Justyna! Thank you Eric for all of your videos! I live in Laguna Beach, California, (USA) but I can't afford to live here anymore, so I'm going to start my Van Life. I got my Mini Van, and I bought the supplies today to start my first project. As you recommended, I will start with putting Reflectix in my windows. I will do it exactly as you taught me. I am a 60 year old woman alone, and I was afraid to take the first step, but your instructions gave me courage to try. Your videos make me feel like I am not alone, but part of a human tribe of pioneers living free. Thank you Eric!! God Bless You!!

Weee...got so giddy when I saw a new video from you! You definitely offer the most comprehensive, well explained, and thoughtful ideas. I absolutely can't wait to see the bug screen one coming soon, as I home in sunny Central Florida where the mosquitos and love bugs are pets...err pests...lol! Interestingly enough, my window coverings were made almost exactly as you mentioned. My spray adhesive, however, did not stick the fabric to the insulation. Well, that is not true...it did, but as soon as I put them in the windows, the Florida heat separated them. To be safe, when they were first made, I had added a black tape border around the edge to make it look trimmed, and that seems to still be holding the two pieces together even though the spray glue has failed. I use the freebie tall paint stir sticks/yard sticks from the hardware store as braces to keep any oversize ones stable in the window. Thanks as always for sharing!
Thank you Alis for this great comment and for sharing your experience! For the spray adhesive, it is why I said to use the best one possible. I still remember that it cost me something like 60$ of that stuff... And that is also why I explained how to repair it if it unglue, to use carpet tape. You gives us another great solution. I don’t know that tape, but it must probably kind of have a finish not too different from the fabric to stay stealth. Thanks again, giving feedback and sharing experience is very much appreciated for everyone! Yes the screen video is one of the coming one!
Thank you Andrew for your comment. I wish you a fun retirement. Having a van will certainly be enjoyable! I crossed your state and I loved all your farming priorities. Pretty beautiful to see! ✌️

I really like your Coroplast reinforcement idea for reinforcing the Reflectix! I've had to duct tape the back window in place since it wants to fall down, especially when opening the hatch, so this idea is great! Thanks for another great tutorial. I really appreciate the detailed instructions.

A friend and I are just finishing your design of a wonderful sofa/bed for a 2010 Sienna and will soon start on cabinets. Thanks for being so generous with your sharing! Curious: what career did you have before turning to #VanLife? How much engineering/ carpentry skills do you have? I suggest you make a video to tell us about your life- your fans will enjoy it!
Thank you for this flattering comment. I may try to talk more about me... I am more oriented on the subject then myself, sharing about van life, travel, tips, etc. Thanks again, you made my day! ✌️
Window tinters cut the tint from the outside window so I’m just curious if it would be easier to still trace on the outside so you don’t have the plastic interference that you do inside stuff following the rule of making it larger than the window itself ? Just curious if there was a reason to not use the outside method?
The window cover will be installed in the inside side. The template must be done to fit the inside contour.... Also, from the outside you would have the window tinter in your way... You need a template that cover the whole window. This template will also be needed for the mosquito screen... a future video...✌️

Details may change, there may be many new and bright ideas, but all of these will be secondary to the ability to analyze problems.
Thank you for making me learn something new today! Have a nice day my fellow surfer!✌️
Don't forget to show us how you mounted your refrigerator!
Greetings from Arizona!
I would like do this in my flooring video. Thank you for the suggestion ✌️

Congratulations for your project! You will have good nights of sleep! Thank you for sharing 👍
This comment is a good source of motivation to keep producing videos!
I love your country! ✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Scania is a place, a region in the south of Sweden 😄My name is actually Justyna 😉 I recommend your videos to everyone that is building out a vehicle to live in (or even are just dreaming about it). And quite often, when I try to explain how I will do something, or how something will work in my own van, and ppl don't get it, I just sent them to one of your videos and let you do the explaining for me. You really are a brilliant source of knowledge and information. I truly am beyond appreciative 💕 Ps. Love your country to. Have only been once but am looking forward to coming again, this time, with my van 😃
LOL! My misunderstanding of Scania is quite funny! 😂
I am glade that you enjoy my videos and that they inspire you in your project! All that thinking phase and search of what you want is a really fun part of building a van! You have to build it in your mind at first! If you have any questions do not hesitate Justyna! Enjoy planning your van! You are going to build yourself a very nice and practical van! 😃✌️
I am glade to be of any help. You will certainly enjoy this first project that will gives your privacy! Thank you for sharing your project. Take care and stay tuned my friend! ✌️
Your videos are incredibly helpful for my own project, and I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into them. Your eye for detail describing steps and clear explanations really help me feel more confident for my first conversion! Thank you Eric! 🙏
Amber, you made my day with this great comment! I will be glade to answer your questions. Do not hesitate to ask. Enjoy planning your project 😃✌️

please how do you stick the black film on the silver foil (for window covering) and what do you suggest to keep the mosquitoes out of the van? thanks!
Thanks Eric! I'm watching you in Apple Valley, Minnesota.
Thank you Pennie from Minnesota ✌️

I really like your Coroplast reinforcement idea for reinforcing the Reflectix! I've had to duct tape the back window in place since it wants to fall down, especially when opening the hatch, so this idea is great! Thanks for another great tutorial. I really appreciate the detailed instructions.
I am glade that I may help you improve your set up. Thank you for sharing and for your appreciation ✌️
Howdy from Vancouver BC. Loving my van build thanks to you. I just showed it to another vanlifer with a Honda Oddessy ..... he tore his van out and copied mine...He said for me to thank you....thank you.

Greetings from Reno/Lake Tahoe. Like all your other admirers, I am thankful and grateful how much information you share about all your van build experiences.
Yep, pictures look like you go all over!
Thank you for sharing.Good explanation about window coverings. I'm watching it from California,USA. 🍀
Thank you Maryam! I love Cali! ✌️😃
Window tinters cut the tint from the outside window so I’m just curious if it would be easier to still trace on the outside so you don’t have the plastic interference that you do inside stuff following the rule of making it larger than the window itself ? Just curious if there was a reason to not use the outside method?
So long as the rain protectors where not in place already-I was wondering the same thing 👍 Looking forward to the screening
The window cover will be installed in the inside side. The template must be done to fit the inside contour.... Also, from the outside you would have the window tinter in your way... You need a template that cover the whole window. This template will also be needed for the mosquito screen... a future video...✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Really looking forward to the mosquito screen. Just bought my van, 2012 Ford Econoline 350 high top. Just subbed and headed now to watch all your previous videos. 😀

looking to go camping over New Years and need to insulate my van windows. Looked at a bunch of videos but this one was easy and straight-forward and the clear winner. Washington state, US.

Hawaii! I’ve watched a few on this reflectix but yours is the most comprehensive. And explains why not to put pretty fabric….and about the moisture. I am shipping my SUV to California and will be driving across the country to South Carolina where my kids are and retiring there….sleeping in the back. Concerned a bit about safety as a 62 yr old female….will be buying bear spray and mace…

Bon jour, and merci for the very helpful videos! I am in Minnesota, not far from the Canadian border. I travel for work and need a van that will help with that. I am just beginning my conversion process. In another video you mentioned the need for a sturdy floor that is easy to clean: thank you for that. I have reflectix on hand & can do that next. Thank you for your explanations "Why" to do something or not do something; few people explain that! In Minnesota we have -40 F up to 100 F and huge changes in humidity, also we have 51 kinds of mosquitoes!!!!! so I am really looking forward to seeing your video about screens. :-)
Wow! Minnesota is quite extreme! Here’s the answer:
