Thanks Mark. I am a musician who is becoming stage fit again. At 72 years old and I am returning to training with an 8 kilo bell. It feels pretty good and my general mobility has transformed in just 5 weeks of 20 minutes a day bell and general stretching moves. I am careful not to overdo things, but stay within my limits of comfort and breathing. It's a great piece of kit to take on trips. Your training videos really helped me to understand more about what I am doing. Thank you very much for your work.

Wish you to rock that stage well, Bob!
I myself am a musician who started slacking on fitness recently. I had a gig recently in the middle of a park, so no car to the stage. Having to carry huge bass amps for 15 minutes straight is a great motivation to pick up kettlebelling :)

I have to say my man, you have about the nicest KB press form out there. I constantly see people getting lots of reps starting nowhere near the proper rack position, and going nowhere near the full lockout (even respected trainers like Dan John, just look at his 'perfect workout' video), and when I see them move lots of weight for lots of reps I get tempted to sacrifice my form a bit, but then I watch one of your pressing videos to keep my mind in check. So thanks

One of the best videos that describes how kettlebells are different from dumbbells/barbells.
Winter is coming. My outdoor exercise routine will need become an indoor one. I have been struggling to choose what to invest in. I need something for both cardio and strength training.
I have been watching a lot of Kettlebell videos. This one video helped me choose. I have been working out with one 5lb weight and one 10lb weight. I will invest in two 15lbs.
Thank you. I subscribed without even watching your other videos. That is how informative and great this one video was.

Bought this for my youngest to develop basic form for single hand kettlebell work. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxtaDAl93XF8wxJhssTtjIFjzid82wglva It has a nice grip on it, just a little rough so it isn't slippery. I was doing a few rotator cuff exercises to test and worked well for those movements I'd been doing with a regular dumbbell. Cool thing you can do is hold it in your hand for door-knob turns to work the forearm and grip. Note: it's small, almost all handle, but that's what I expected given the weight. Smallest I've worked with before is 15lbs, so it was kind of funny to see the difference 10lbs makes.

This is great. An observation; the body pull-up (various planes of motion) feels like a critically important element to add to any routine that focuses on only these 6 KB movements. Especially important in this age of sedantry lifestyles/their negative impact our posture.

i dont even miss the gym when i have an kettlebell. all you really need for an good workout is an KB, pullup/dips bar, and maybe an cardio machine.
also i JUST got the 12 kg KB and doing cleans with them is HARD AS SHIT. i can easily lift a proper ammount but KB are a whole different ball game tbh

day 2 warm up , clean and press high reps, sets of 5 but dont stop, use his transitions, rest when form goes, if I cant press I carry on with just snatch until too tired to have good form, then I do a legs, either squat or lunge, again high reps correct form,

A lot of videos on TH-cam show something really impressive or whatever, or a selection of skilful moves, but they don’t show someone like me, a 42 year old dad stuck at home with 3 children, how to warm up, exercise for (say) 30 minutes, and then warm down. 99% of the content doesn’t actually enable someone clueless but keen like me to try a workout without fearing a real risk of injury.

Alex Poole Rule of thumb. Start with a slow jog in place. Increase the speed over time. Then do some air squats, just bodyweight. If you need to hold onto something, that's totally fine. The, Draw circles with your arms extended out to sides. This should get your body primed for some kettlebell work. I'm 57 and swear by this. Good luck!

Thanks, a great video. I like to watch the movement and you are clear. I still have some issues with cleaning the bell, especially on the left side!!! More practice drills I guess. My trainer designs Hellion sets, which I also find really good for the concentration and getting the form.

Great explanation. Did you do the breakdown of each of the exercises described?
