Hello everyone! Keep in mind that this video doesn't represent the game in its official form as this is a mod for the beta. The early access version is going to have more polished AI etc. This video serves the purpose to show off all the siege gadgets the player can utilize to conquer a fort!

Eight years later and we still can't tell our troops when to use a ladder.
As wonky as this gameplay was, I really love what it shown. The stuff both defenders and attackers can use seems really great, and the castle/map design itself looks quite spectacular. And keep in mind early access is going to be much much more improved since this is just a mod. Can't wait to see a proper siege battle.
Yeah this video served mainly to show off all the gadgets the player can use when conquering a fort. 😁
If you've played Warband, this siege gameplay is significantly better than what WB has.

Big props to the developers for listening to their community. One of the few games that improves after its first version. Cant wait to play the early acces. Would be nice if we could pre order now to give them a bigger money pool to work with. They really deserve it imo

Using defender troops tools against the wich is very smart lol
and these destrauctble enevierments like the gate are so cool and how you changed from a one troop to another was amazing to show us how the siege went.

You can finally control another soldier, such a much appreciated feature really adding more options of playability on the battlefield
No longer will I ride on my mount being followed by a horde of enemies while my guys slowly chase after them
Not gonna lie the shouting in the start actually startled me xD
Super pumped for this. Whatever issues the game may have at launch will either be fixed by devs or fixed by modders, the amount of fan made content in the original game is absolutely mind boggling.

Hey Artem, how does the trebuchet work? Do the missils destroy the castle or do they just kill some guards?
Hey bro, I've got a video coming up tomorrow that explains this but i'll tell you. The trebuchet can actually destroy different parts of the castle and kill guards!

I used to love making a custom group called bodyguard and just having a few top tiered / companions follow me around battle personally.
You stopped on that ladder like he farted in your face.
The AI with path finding skill and climbing ladder ability still has issues which need to be fixed.

Algo de diferencia de tropas como arqueros algo de lanceros y con esa infantería con armas más pesadas como achas pues estaría genial, a veces se hace monótono ver como solo se ven videos en los q se ve que realmente los trabucos no hacen mucho destrozos ni en las puertas ni a casi ningún enemigo de dentro del castillo, un poco de caballería entrando de alguna manera de parte de los que asedianno se cosas que arian realmente adentrarte en lo que es un hambiente diferente de combate en este estilo de videojuegos, que se pudieran tirar las escaleras con hombre subiendo por ellas y se mueran 1/5 parte de las tropas, creo q tiene mucho potencial y ojalá veamos muchas mejoras que creo q le siguen haciendo falta a esta joya de trabajo, un saludo👍🏻.

I like that they changed the ladder mechanic, that you need to unarmed yourself in order to climb, instead of casualy walking up the ladder with your shield wielded. Cuz thats freakin hell when im defending

The dev of the mod continues to stress that since there is no tactical AI it's all but bugged since you know... the game isnt actually out yet.

One thing that slightly bothers me from the start is I notice that the flags the soldiers are carrying pop in and out when the base of them leaves the screen. It's jarring to see them just disappear. Small complaint but I'm going to notice it every time lol
Yeah, because of performance reasons they just enable physics that are near the player so you might see some stuff pop in from time to time lol.

They need ai commanders making other movements these clusters under 1 humans control just look janky, Id like to see a spread out battle not clusters like warband
There is currently no 'Siege AI' as this is just a mod. At release the defenders will be able to man the parapits, and not hack down their own gate, and attacker will be able to clime ladders and siege towers. Thus spread out
The mods...God it will be amazing.

That's a pretty decent rig you've got there, I guess you can play the game on the same settings! If not lowering like ambient occlusion will definitely help!

At 0:50 it says "taking control of ally soldier nearby..." does this mean that if the player dies in a battle we can still fight on as our soldiers? Been waiting for that feature for years!
Yes, in a dev blog they said that, after the player fainted, you can control any bot on the battlefield!

Nice video, I just really really hoping that the path finding would not be such embarrassing like in all this thousand streamer videos of this mod . This would be awfull , like total war Rome 2 in 3D.

I think AI still needs a little bit adjustment to their positioning. Still feels like 100 people are trying to stand in one place, not too realistic.
This is just an ai mod for the beta remember not offical so on release the ai and seiges will be muxh better than this etc

all AI, this is a custom battle mod for the closed beta
I really was hoping to see a lot more killboxing by the enemy AI, here it seemed like they just sat down in the square and waited for their slaughter. Men on the walls throwing stuff at me and my men, an active enemy army that fully exploits the use of funnels, platforms and walls, is what i want. If the devs need more time for that to happen then i hope they take it, be it 6 weeks or 6 months.
This doesn't represent actual gameplay. The game will be way more polished on 31st March 2020
