    Appreciate the boondocking tips, esp with the trash disposal idea, using small bags so as not to inundate a business’s dumpster or receptacle. Harvest Host is a great idea, we stayed at our first one, a winery recently and the host was amazing and even invited us to stay a second night. When doing dishes, I have a collapsible dish pan that I use for rinsing, then we can empty the water outside or the water could be used to flush the toilet too.

      Thanks for that tip! I’m going to get a collapsible dish pan before our next one. 😊

      In GS we used 3 pans one for soapy water one for rinse water the last one has a little bit of bleach for sanitizing then we always dumped in woods away from water sources but could be used in toilet ( unless bleach would stop natural breakdown in black tank?)

    Funny! at 9:58 in to the video she calls it Boondogging instead of Boondocking! Made me chuckle!

    Great info you guys, and cool that you are doing the boondocking (yes, I am glad you explained it and I had to Google it before, because I had never heard that term, haha!). Fun to shake things up and see places you wouldn't normally see, help small businesses like the winery, and meet different people. Living the Dream! Have a wonderful and blessed day ----Stacy 😍💚

      We didn’t know about boondocking until we had been traveling for a couple of years! 😆 It is nice to mix things up from time to time. Have a great week!

    We do the little bag trash thing when traveling too and drop off at places along the way. We dry camp 95% of the time and have learned a lot of these things (helps that we have lived on a boat forever too)! Safe travels back at you!

      I've been a live aboard for 15 years now and I still enjoy it. I have been seriously considering trying the RV lifestyle. Do you miss living aboard and how do they compare financially?

    Good stuff! We have a son in Tucson, so really interested in a few of these places, like the remote “like Africa” place between Tucson & Nogales! Also, we’re headed west next to Joshua Tree. Next time out we’ll check out that dry camp next to the General Patton Museum, or the Casino.
    And DUDE, I spent the whole time trying to figure out what your T-shirt said about the kind of genius you are! LOL! The rest of the story, please?

    Thanks for the information! We plan to venture out into the boondocking world pretty soon. We've been reluctant to try it but there are just too many awesome places (like the ones in your video) that we are missing out on by just being full hook-upers (did I just coin a phrase?) LOL!

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      😂 We were full hook-upers for a long time! Let us know if you have any questions. We’re enjoying mixing it up now.

    Congratulations on getting away from the resorts!! Boondocking is great:-) Love Harvest Hosts, National Parks, BLM’s, etc! And you can find water at so many places! It’s amazing how you’ll just come to notice spigots along your journey! Last thing, not showering everyday while boondocking... you’ll get used to it! Baby wipes are the best! 😂

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! No way we’re not showering every day though. We have the tank capacity and use it. Actually we didn’t even use all our fresh on this outing so we’re good. 😊

    Hi I see that you have 4200 Cyclone
    I have the same one.have you had any
    Problems with the side deck? On mine
    Has gotten water. Damage. An on your
    Solar where did you put the extra batteries? The cargo bay is big on This
    Trailer but ours is just about full.we have a Polaris Ranger that goes in the back.all the stuff like tables, chairs ,BBQ goes in the bed of the ranger an we just drive it up I into the trailer.

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We had water damage on our deck too. Found it just after the 2-year warranty expired so they wouldn't fix it. Neither extended warranty nor insurance covered water damage so we had to pay about $7,000 out of pocket to fix it. We squeeze the extra batteries up near our onboard generator. You can see our entire install in the series that starts with this video: th-cam.com/video/1qoXzyuGMj0/w-d-xo.html

    Do they allow you to ride Side by Sides in these areas? Or four wheelers?

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some do in designated areas, but it is important to verify.
