Love this channel so fkn much I love the honesty and transparency, the videography and editing to your videos, and your in depth narration . Your top notch for sure please keep it up Slim:)
Just wanted to tell you that I thoroughly enjoy your videos! They are scenic, thoughtful, humorous, intriguing, interesting and very entertaining. Thank you for a wonderful video. I binge watched a few episodes when I first discovered your channel. Had to reign myself in and set limits or I would have run out of our visits. That’s what these feel like. We are sitting at the kitchen table and you are sharing pictures and stories of your travels, trials, tribulations and triumphs! Good Job Sir. Very Good Job.
This video is high quality editing. It was enjoyable to watch unlike so many other RVers and Van dweller TH-camrs. This video good easily be viewed on TVs Travel Channel Nat Geo etc. Well done sir.
I just watched your video about some stops around the Phoenix & Tucson areas and found them rather interesting and educational. As a woodworker, I find creativeness everywhere. I have never seen the trick of turning a thorn into a musical needle.... Thanks for showing me that. You can learn something new every day. Hope to see you in the wild as a full-time. Traveler myself with my wife and three dogs , We have been enjoying This lifestyle Four years now.
You are great! Thank you so much for your time& thoughts. Both of my grown children are established in AZ . Now with granddaughters there , I’ll be coming out from CA much more. Single, and carefully spending, having free sites is really wonderful.
You're the best, SLIM!!! I adore your videos and appreciate your artistry and the time you put in to making great videos. Your humor is a bonus. Keep up the good work and keep crankin' them out!!!
Your quite an interesting and eclectic character, and I love your goofy wit. I appreciate that you seem to live in the moment and squeeze the marrow... Thanks for sharing
We live in AZ and it is amazing that we have travelled out of state missing so many wonders in our home state. Thank you for show us boondocking places that we are going now
Just so ya know, the beans in the fry bread most likely are made with lard. Also the bread may also be fried in lard. No biggie for carnivores like me, but probably not what Slim would prefer. Stay safe out there Slim!
Great video! As a resident of Arizona, I had to smile when you said its "warm" in the 80's..we call that winter here :) So many great spots to visit in my back yard..thank you.
I love all of your videos. I've been binge watching your videos and never get tired of all the neat adventures and feel like I'm right there with you having a great time too.
Slim, just love your old gramma phone. I remember an old Victrola we had when I was a kid, would play old carbon records. Thanks for sharing all the great information.
As always your videos are awesome. I like them a lot because i own a 2018 esp A -frame from Rockwood so when i see your videos it gets me pumped up to head out and go to some of your spots. Especially that one you had at the grand canyon where you were right on that rim. That was just breathtaking. So keep the videos coming, and many more safe travels to you.
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks so much. Nice little bits of info AND not too long. 5 campsites in one short video works for me! Can't wait to go to Ajo. Loved all the colorful art you showed.
Great job showcasing desert camping in my home state. Looking forward to seeing some forest camping coverage on your way back home, far too may people think this entire state is desert!
I work in Japan and come home for the summers to America. My daughter is making it in the Japanese music industry and my original plan was for her to pay for a cabin in Alaska for me. Your videos have changed my mind and she will be buying me an Aliner with a good truck to tow it!
You got me interested in boondocking in AZ back in 2018, then retired, bought a used TT and headed south to AZ from Winnipeg Mb in Dec 2019 as a solo snowbird. Had the time of my life till the big C hit in March 2020 and have not been back, but planning to again go back this Dec🤞. First place i stayed was one of your spots Snyder Hill. One of my favourite spots was near Yuma but ill keep that one a secret 😉. Thanks Slim.
Clever cactus needle! I think I had a smile on my face all the way through this video. The plus is, giving names to plants, I see so many videos of plants , not many do I know what I am looking at. Nice touch. We only have 'fried bread' at the fairs, but, I've never bought any, I may change my mind, seeing how much you enjoyed yours. You and I part company on the pizza pockets tho', I don't do prepared foods, altho' I can see how convenient they are for people on the move.
Buckeye hills is our future for free lands. 3000 just at rtr more for burning man quartzsite. It will not turn out good sooner or later. Definitely keep these areas pristine. Very very nice videos. Now this channel is binge worthy. You have a great voice for it as well. Oh and the levity. The best. Haha
The "without drama" remark - amen! (seems like many who make vids r either ignorant of where they r, who may b watching their vids, etc. Nice to watch & listen to someone with common sense & no agenda! Luv ya Slim! T.
Definitely one of my favorite videos...love your brand of humor. The info on your boondocking places and visual footage helped me greatly on making some decisions. Love the Ajo area, Thank you again for making my life easier.
Loved the shots of Ajo. I’m am nature girl, but also love exploring small towns, especially ones that have something unique/interesting about the place/people/food etc. Thanks for the great videos!
Great video! I'm now a new subscriber, just based on this one. I realize this was posted awhile back, but if you are still trying to find out about your cooking rack, it's a cooling rack for baked goods, like cookies or cakes. You can find them by the cookie sheets and pie pans in the cookware sections of stores. I used one way back in a small stove that didn't come with any interior racks, and it worked great. Fit perfectly on the little interior rack holders.
Some nice little spots in our favourite state. And a nice edit on your camera ‘trick’ :) Also love your Aliner rig. With retirement looming I’m looking into smaller trailers that still have some headroom.
It can be a lot of work to make a video this good. Thanks so much. Glad you discovered fry bread! I'll be in AZ this winter as a new full timer with years of solo wilderness travel experience so I'm interested in boon docking places. For pizza you can buy Naan bread. It is shaped like fry bread. Toast it on your grill on one side. Flip it over and add pizza sauce and any toppings you want and you'll have pizza. Cheers!
Oak flat camping ground is a really great spot if you go late February March there is a lot of water from the snow forms of pond great ways to kick back watch the animals come in, and see what pops out of the water good fish . Loved you video. 🚙
:) Apparently not all of your friends are freezing and shovelling! Some of them are here in Mexico, enjoying quesadillas and promoting your great channel. Interesting videos, fun to watch!
Hello from Phoenix! That was a great video! I've been here for 11 years and you've been around Arizona more than I have! Looking forward to another one of your videos! 😁
I liked the fact that you have a Gramophone, I have 2 crank m AZ Chinese, a Poly portable and a suitcase type, I love the old records ! Thanks for the video !
Thanks for the Arizona boondocking ideas. We stopped at 3 of them last winter and stayed at a couple. The Tucson one was just too cramped (and unscenic) for us so we stayed at the nearby County campground near the Old Tucson movie town and the (West) Saguaro National Park. Ajo was an intriguing spot. We enjoyed the architecture too and dancers practicing in the Plaza. Camped further south, just outside Organ Pipe NM. Saddleback Mtn is a great boondocking spot for scenery and collecting fire agates. We’ll definitely have to check out the Hot Wells.
Love your humor. The "Canadian tan" you referenced was so opposite my experience growing up in South Texas, always outside and frequently addressed in Spanish, though I didn't speak it. Hour after hour on Padre Island had me the color of mahogany, a fact I now regret. That much exposure to the sun plays hell with old skin. I understand the northern Europeans and soviets living in far north latitudes have youthful skin. But I couldn't on my BEST day handle those temperatures. Or the surfeit of sun. Hats off to you, able to handle and ENJOY both.
Being a ARIZONA person ( living there ) I found this to be a great , fun and informative video !! Great photography And since I’ve been wanting to visit AJO , afyer seeing this , I’ll def be going ! Thank you Sir for sharing your adventures !! 😁
Slim...I enjoyed my stay at Indian Bread Rocks tho a short stay will do more exploring there latter. I am currently at Coyote Howls East. And will endeavor to follow that loop from end to end. Enjoyed this vid like all of your other ones keep the wheels and videos a rolling!
Kablooie! That's my mind being officially blown! I had no idea that a cactus needle could be used to transfer music! Very cool! I really love your A-frame camper too! Great video man. I just found you and that surprises me because I've been following van/RV life channels for a few years now. Anyway, I sub'd and will be watching and hope you are safe and well!
Boy! That looks like fun. Glad you are having a good time. Im a woman 72 and love camping. Just love you vedios too. Keep up the good work. Cathy fogarty in vernal utah
