Please don't stop what you are doing. The insights in your videos are life changing! There are many sons and daughters who don't have friends, resources, or the know-how to access this kind of instruction. Many wards & branches are filled with simple people with simple instruction. I've found in my life that the more I understand symbolism and the gospel doctrines, the stronger my desire to stand taller, learn more, and repent. Thank you, brother!
I’ve prayed for so long for my severely disabled son. He’s not going to get better in this life, but I have hope and faith that he will be healed in the next life. My favorite story in the New Testament where a man was born blind and the Savior was asked “who sinned that he was born blind? This man or his parents?“ Neither. He was born blind that the works of the Lord may be manifest in him. I’ve seen the lives that have been blessed and touched because of my Spencer.
@virginiaevans853 Thanks for sharing your personal experience. It is often hard for us to see challenges as opportunities to build faith and find hope. You are inspiring; if we have wisdom we can find God in our struggles.
Once again, this shows up at just the right time!!!! Bro. Dunford, THANK YOU!!!! May you be blessed Eternally for your efforts in sharing the LIGHT!!!!!
So grateful to Heavenly Father for leaders like you, have always prayed to remember the saving times whenever am despaired. That I also call gratitude. Many thanks for all your effort to help us understand.
The thought that comes to mind with the woman from zaraphath I am pretty sure she had been pleading for the life of herself and her son. Had the lord already visited her with assurances that he would provide for her. Did she feel the spirit of the Lord telling her here is your answer, feed him first. Serve the Lord first and I will give you all you need:…. I have had this experience in my life.
He definitely pushed me to the limit before reaching out and catching my freefall! WOW! This message was for me. I just had one of those marvelous light experiences, I suppose I need to be on guard.
The tendency to rationalize spiritual experiences is indeed one of Satan's frequently used arms against us. Hence Helaman 5: 49's exhortation not to wonder or doubt. Thank you, Bryce.
Bryce, Great Message. One point to question regarding the timing of the birth of the savior. Was the timing of the birth of Jesus set in the cosmic clock or was the sign of His coming a response to the impending demise a group of faithful believers? The tone of your message seems to imply that the timing of the sign of His coming was a direct act of salvation to the plight of a reasonably small population in the Americas.
Or could He just be that good, and His cosmic timing that perfect? The same Being who knew in 559 BC that Martin Harris would lose the Book of Mormon manuscript in 1828 and therefore told Nephi to “make other plates” could certainly have timed Him cosmic clock to perfectly coincide with saving believing Nephites in America. “Behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who a knoweth all things” (2 Ne. 2:24)
@@talkingscriptureExcellent response. Your consequential interpretation breaks out of linear thinking and expands our understanding of how God's power and understanding can be utilized for the benefit of His children to express His perfect love. All things that are a "big deal" to us are equally felt and considered by Him. This does not guarantee that He will respond or provide in the way we wish but He does provide in the best way for our good or eternal development. This should help us to develop stronger faith; things don't just happen. We should give Him credit rather than explaining away signs of God's love by calling them coincidences.
Bryce, what am I missing? I was astonished to read, in chapter 2, that it seems they were seeing signs and wonders even 4 years after Christ's birth! But I got stuck where it says there were signs and winners that they HEARD. Samuel's prophecy doesn't say much about events they would hear versus seeing. Am I reading that wrong?
The world certainly heard the earth’s mourning when Christ was crucified. So why wouldn’t the Earth and the heavens make glorious sounds at his birth? I think that’s very consistent.
@@talkingscripture I don't disagree, I'm just wondering if you knew of any specifics that I had missed. I asked my sister about it today, and she questioned what signs we might be taking for granted today that we don't see or hear. I'm just so astonished that it doesn't seem to take much for wondrous things to be easily ignored.
That is a fascinating thought. How much goodness is the Lord pouring out in the restoration and we are not noticing? How many signs that he has restored his truth to earth and will soon come are right in front of us and go unnoticed? Definitely something to consider.
I adore you, Bryce, but I have to completely disagree with you here. How many people have starved waiting on the Lord? How many people have gone to a martyrs death waiting on the Lord? How many people drown in the storm waiting on the Lord? How many people never conceive that child they were promised? How many people suffer without their basic needs being met? Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Hope that never ever happens shatters and destroys.
Then I would say that you are being shortsighted (“myopic” is the word President Nelson would use - Oct 2020 Let God Prevail). Christ will always come at the right moment. Always! But that moment isn’t necessarily in mortality. To demand that it is, is to give God the timetable for your blessings. And that is foolish. His timetable is much better than ours. And with all my soul, I testify: “The time shall come when all shall see the salvation of the Lord; when every nation, kindred, tongue, and people shall see eye to eye and shall confess before God that his judgments are just” (Mosiah 16:1).
“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1 Cor. 15:19). Says the man whose thorn in his flesh was never removed.
“When the designs of God shall be made manifest, and the curtain of futurity be withdrawn, we shall all of us eventually have to confess that the Judge of all the earth has done right” (Joseph Smith, HC, 4:595-596; Teachings, 218).

I like your analogy of God as a spotter 👍
Thank you, Bryce!
John chapter 1 verse 4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Turning to the light is turning to Jesus Christ.
