have been trying to find a good Igbo lesson online and finally found this!! This is a really good start and was hard just memorizing words. With the body parts I can say the words and point to the area where it is and say it.

Thank you Dr. Igwe for this most valuable lesson. I am a new student of the Igbo language. I have just purchased an FSI Basic Igbo Course Textbook, but the most important part of any language is the alphabet, which I am able to learn from you, right here on youtube. This will make my study of the FSI textbook much more interesting. I hope you can soon produce a video with emphasis on the tonal structure of the Igbo language.

This is great. People i meet all the time hear my name and are like OMG Your a Nigerian and i'm equally excited to meet my own people but then they start talking Igbo or even Yourba and i'm standing there clueless and then it's like "your just a Yankee boy. I know It's a shame because i have been around my parents who spoke the language i even went to primary school in Lagos . So i have to represent because i want my daughter to know her language and where she comes from. So i have to get it together NOW!!

Eze m di ocha = my teeth is clean
Ezem n' acha ocha= my teeth is white.

Thanks Chikeze. The verb "idi" is polysemic, which means that it has many different meanings and the context of use helps to identify the exact meaning. "Eze m di ocha" can mean "my teeth are clean" or "my teeth are white" depending on the context of use.
