I’m two years late, but I’m just getting started and trying to learn as much as I can as I begin sublimating. I thought I would start with a mouse pad! I use both AI and Photoshop. Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Lorrie love your videos. I am new to sublimation. I bought my sawgrass 500 after watching your videos. I was wondering if there is a way to design in cricut design space and transfer it to the sawgrass creative studio. Can’t wait for more of your great videos.
No, it is not recommended. The butcher paper is absorbent and can be tossed once it gets ink on it. Using a Teflon sheet can transfer the ink from a prior project to the next project
Thanks for your awesome illustrations! I have seen good reviewson it. Is this printer low maintenance? Also up to what size paper and design size on this printer?
The SG500 can print up to 8.5 x 13". The SG800 can print larger formats. As far as maintenance, there really isn't a lot to it. I added the ink cartridges and the software and that's all I had to do.
I am new to sublimation and LOVE your videos! Is there a chart somewhere with times and temps for differrent objects? I know that there are variances, but I would like a ballpark start. Thx
I converted a cheap, used epson I purchased on OfferUp. And it's so much easier than vinyl, that I don't want to go back. No more weeding, plus I found a bunch of sublimation blanks online. Just got my mouse pads and puzzles in
Is there a sublimation printer that print paper size 35.4 x 15.7 in? I need it for an extended mouse/desk pad but can't find anything close to that size.
Dizzylizzyscreations it’s not recommended. I don’t want to make people think they can do that and then ruin their printer in the process - ask me how i know. My printer never worked right after that.
Do you have to edit your photos before sending them to the printer? When I put a personal photo on a mouse pad the resolution wasn’t perfect and the background was a little green.
i got the sublimation paper and mouse pad blanks from your link. Printed the image (mirrored) on my injet printer, set my press for the infusible ink/tshirt settings - & the image didn't transfer to the mouse pad. any idea/suggestions what happened? I followed everything as you said in the video, printed the image 4 seperate times & nothing
@@andrejakarba1421 it isn't :-( I learned in another of your videos that the printer should have sumblimation ink. unfortunately that was after I had already purchased the sub paper for the printer you were using. lol oh well
Hi Lorrie! My sublimation printer is on its way! Aaaa! So excited! Thanks for the courage to take the plunge! 😄 In one of your videos you mentioned the brand of multipurpose paper you're using and I can't find it now. Was it Hammermill? 20 or 24lb?
I’m very new to sublimation, when I get my press to 400 degrees and I put my mouse pad on and close and lock it my heat press drops to 350 degrees then it has to heat up again which takes it seems forever then it will reach 400 then my timer starts. My husband said that this is normal. Does this happen with your machine?
Today i had my 1st sub ... on a mousepad... the colors aint vibrant, there was a lot of smoke and it smelled all true the house of burned rubber 😳😳😳 thats gonna be a lot of practicing 🙈
Lorrie good job for you ,i am Sophie from china ,we are manufacture mousepad materials ,rolls and sheets .blank for sublimation ,if you need any help ,contact with me.good day 😀

What machine do you use?
What measurement do u use and mine aren't coming out right
Lorrie- Great Projects! They all look nice!
Wow! Very cool. LOVE the Bee mouse pad! Do you sell these on your website or other media?
I've tried different measurements when doing the mouse pad what measurements do you use

Hi! Awesome video!!! Question…Can I use Teflon paper in place of butcher paper??
No, it is not recommended. The butcher paper is absorbent and can be tossed once it gets ink on it. Using a Teflon sheet can transfer the ink from a prior project to the next project
Does it have to be the sublimation paper you have or it can be any brand ?
such fun, and I agree -- I thought that one mouse pad was brighter -- the one that was on printer paper.
How often do you have to pay for your inks because there quite expensive for this particular printer? How cost effective is it?
You didn't show use how todo the mouse pad. What website did you use to size the image for the mouse pad??????

Hi Lorrie! Love your videos. What kind of table or cart is your heat press and printer on? Thanks!

what was the measurements that you used
Can i get the size you on your mouse pads... I am trying to do mine which look like your mouse pad

There are several but you’re looking at a commercial machine that is at least $12k and up
Actually you can convert a ink jet back. Just change the cartridges and and do several head cleaning to purge the lines.
Dizzylizzyscreations it’s not recommended. I don’t want to make people think they can do that and then ruin their printer in the process - ask me how i know. My printer never worked right after that.
@@LorrieNunemaker I have switched back and forth so far no issues.
Does it have to be butcher paper? Can it be a Teflon sheet?
Thank U. Blessings

If you’re using a sawgrass printer you need to print using the print manager to get the correct color profile
How do you get the copy paper to go on mouse pad
How do you do this with copy paper?
what program on the compt. are you using. I just bought the saw grass 500. love your video
Suzie Free i design in illustrator, save as png and the. Print through the sawgrass print manager
When doing the mouse pad I printed and sublimation it my photo is red ? How do I fix
She must be Rich with a fireplace in her craftroom..lol
Do you have any idea why the mousepad sticks to the paper after? like it gets ruined.
I don’t have that issue. Make sure you’re using the correct time and temp.

Mine keeps ghosting on me. I pull off quickly also, but still get the blurs.
What size did you do the print for subbing on the mouse pad?
Depends on the Mousepad. I always just make it about 1/4" larger than the item I am sublimating

@@kansaswilliams7628 Not that I saw. In her latest videos, she's using TexPrint R rather than copy paper

Sandra Rousseau the sawgrass print manager does it. But you can do it with most software in the print settings
