Hi. I would like to ask if could you hear the sound coming from the iPhone through the Focusrite interface audio jack where you will put your headphone? Thanks
Scarlet 2i2 has a headphone jack for you to monitor the backing track. But I have never connected my iphone or ipad to my Scarlet 2i2. I am interested in trying that.
I've followed your setting with either my iPhone or iPad, but it turned out that the Focusrite didn't have enough to open. The power light didn't turn on, only the 48V power button flashed when I pressed it. How come the audio interface couldn't work like what you did? Please let me know why.
I’m having issues with only getting mono recordings onto my iPhone. It seems the L channel is printing panned in the center according to my test panning a track left and right? Does that make sense? Do I need to plug it in my computer and change a setting?
If i connect this to my iphone 8 can i film my performance with the iphone camera and get the audio directly into the video? instead of the audio being from the iphone mic.
I am doing everything you are doing and I have all of the same equipment and cables. My iphone still says the Scarlett 2i2 requires too much power. Any idea why?
Then the adapter is not providing power. Is the adapter original from Apple? I don't see other reasons for not working. I've done the same as in the video and it works flawlessly. The recent Focusrite doesn't even need power supply; but the one I have does, and it works fine. Oh also there some other comment mentioning that they got this problem when the iPhone is 100% charged, and need to discharge it a bit. (makes no sense to me, but you can try)

Hi! I did same set up as you in solo2ndGen but I found out it’s not fully working (mic is fine but guitar sounds very low). Could it be the case I need a powered usb?
Powered USB adapter won’t work as they’re set to a limit output. The low sound could be from the gain staging process as there isn’t an input gain on an iPad. You could try making sure the input of the interface is set to INSTRUMENT and push up the gain from there. If the guitar is fine but gets quieter when recording You might need to have no fx on the iPad as they could be overloading it at the recording stage. Other option is turn up the interface volume so u can hear it, maybe even push up the volume fader in the iPad too. Last thing I’d do is record the audio as is. Within iPad add a compressor to the track. Turn off or change the settings so it’s not compressing and just push up the make up gain or output knob. As long as the signal isn’t clipping you’re good. It’s easier to raise the volume than fix bad audio. Hope any of these work.
I've been testing multiple soundcards and devices on my channel th-cam.com/channels/JkfQrscM5qbgW96P2AILPQ.html and it will probably work but why would you want to? You can record in Serato itself can't you? Or are you using an external mixer?
Depends on how you use the interface. It shouldn't consume much, but of course will consume "something". I suppose there might be more consumption plugging in analog audio instruments like an electric guitar; although the guitar itself has a battery for the pickups and maybe that's enough to power the signal into the interface. However, I wouldn't worry too much of high power consumption. I'd worry more to have a powerbank in case the iPhone/iPad drains.

Hi, does using this interface with the ipad or iphone decrease their battery life?
Depends on how you use the interface.
It shouldn't consume much, but of course will consume "something".
I suppose there might be more consumption plugging in analog audio instruments like an electric guitar; although the guitar itself has a battery for the pickups and maybe that's enough to power the signal into the interface.
However, I wouldn't worry too much of high power consumption.
I'd worry more to have a powerbank in case the iPhone/iPad drains.
@@Pictor13 Thankyou so much🙏🏻
Who can help me? I connected my midi keyboard to my I phone/ iPad but on device appeared this msg "cannot use accessory MPK mini MK II : This accessry requires too much power". Do I need to use a USB hub with power? Sorry for my English
Do you need the AI even when using the midi or is it not needed? Also can I do this with android with just another adapter?
