One detail I totally missed until I saw a tiktok about it: it looks like the Noxians made a grave or burial marking for Isha! Her helmet is set on a grave marker in the scene showing the graves of those who died honorably in battle. As much as the Noxians were one of the bad guys / villains of Arcane, it was nice to see that they respected Isha's sacrifice since she died an honorable death not only in battle, but taking down one of the most ferocious enemies on the field as well
That's a really great detail and I would've loved if that was visible! She did say we're all equals in battle...which is BS but I like adhering to that! Wait, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WATCHING CONTENT THAT ISNT MINE?! *gasp*
"Animation is the devil's media, pictures shouldn't move! Drawings shouldn't move!!" Is objectively the FUNNIEST response to Arcane's ending I ever heard 💀
Random but I saw a meme that was like Viktor: i will ascend all those willing Jayce: my partner died in this room >:( Viktor: i will ascend those unwilling
I definetly agree that this season would've been even better with an extra act or season, however its still a show that even at its faults feels better than most other shows
@@thethirdbillThey had 2 more hours of footage that they had to remove due to Netflix saying it was too long. Also there is about 60 minutes of footage for Jinx and Ekko preparing for battle. It’s supposed to mirror episode 7. 😢
@@blueblamkiss Netflix didn't say it was too long, nor were they responsible for why footage was cut. Netflix only streams Arcane, they aren't involved in anything else related to the show. If I'm remembering correctly, I think the cut footage was due to budget limitations and/or the writers themselves deciding it was too lengthy.
@@blueblamkiss IIRC it wasn't actual "footage," but storyboards/script/concepts etc that didn't make it to the final cut for what would be animated. Animation, more specifically, THIS animation was expensive. Too expensive to animate something that won't be included in the end. Sure, there may have been some individual scenes that were animated that got cut, but a whole 60 minutes? I believe it was more just a budgeting issue, and possibly a deadline issue as well, but I don't buy in to the narrative that they'd waste money animating something so major only to let it get cut. Again, if anything it would have been removed during a rough animation at the latest. That and I don't think the animators would have taken too kindly to putting in so much effort on something nobody would ever see. So yes, cut content, but not actual footage.
12:01 Actually, I understand why you said this but if you notice, the scene is using 4 frames per second, the same amount of time Echo can go back with his device. In other words, he is valuing these moment of time
Singed just won Arcane. No one bothered enough to stop him achieving his goals, and most people involved in the main plot didn't even know he existed. He got his daughter back in a way that didn't override her self with Milktor like the fighting robots, he didn't get milked, and now the only person alive that knows he's even around is Caitlyn, as if she will ever find him.
A note about the end of Episode 7: while it is ambiguous, I think that the intended implication is that Powder would never use the Hex-Crystals because of the trauma she has with them, so the one person in that world who now knows how to make Hextech would never actually do it, leaving that world free from the issues the main world is dealing with, regardless of Ekko and Heimerdinger's interference. Also, I think that the "You are the wolf" was meant to explain why the remaining Noxians accept Mel as their new leader even though she was fighting them moments before, and to capstone Mel's arc in a "You have become what you hated about your family" kind of way, even if in-universe it is just Ambessa giving her approval.
Also you're correct. We needed more episodes to flesh out the relationships and story points. Arcane is INSANELY Good and we critique it cause its flaws contrast so hard with just how phenomenal its good parts are.
Arcane might be over, but more LOL shows sre confirmed. Also, I'm fairly sure Jinx is still alive. The purple from her Shimmer Time Speed in the explosion, the side vents Cait ess looking at in the blueplints, and that blimp in the final shot, exactly like the one Powder said she'd ride someday in the first episode. Seems likely that she's on that blimp. I can't wait for the new show to find out for sure.
I still don't get why they did that. Do more stuff ABSOLUTELY but why 'end' Arcane? That's your Avengers! Add more side stories/spinoffs/whatever and then reunite them for Arcane S3 or something...sigh we'll see. Still not a fan of the meta confusion over calling this the 'final season of Arcane' maybe it's a contract thing? Whatever. The scene that matters (Caitlyn not telling Vi) was great and gets both more sinister and loving the more I overthink it.
@thethirdbill Arcane was a two season long series showing us the dangers and conflicts caused by the arcane. Hence the title. The whole plot is driven by characters who don't understand the arcane, tampering with it. Those two seasons have been worked on for years. As of yet, work hasn't even began on any of the new series. If they continue from here, they'd be writing a show that is no longer about the dangers of the arcane. And with Viktor, Jayce, Ambessa, and Heimerdinger gone, and Jinx (and possibly Mel) off doing their own thing, and Vi and Cait settling down, and the Hexgates gone, that's a lot of the main characters, and the driving force, of Arcane now absent. It wouldn't be the same show anymore. Whatever the next show they make is, in however many years, I doubt it'll be about the dangers of the arcane this time. It won't be Arcane.
@@thethirdbillso apparently the creators said that they plan on covering three more regions of runeterra for more “Arcane” shows, also in universe. They also said that they think Jinx’s and Ekko’s story is worth continuing, sooooooo more time bomb? Oh gosh, if they don’t retcon the lore of the game, so many people should theoretically still be alive, heimerdinger for example is a yordle, yordle are highly spiritual beings and can’t die, they just get sent back to their home dimension Banddle city. Maybe being hinted at maybe returning? I’m not sure entirely though, as the writers retconned a couple of things for arcane already, although it seems like to big of a story piece to just retcon. That being said, it seems like they cut arcane s3 to use the budget on the other shows, so that’s sad, but also more Arcane kinda, so that’s good. Man, this has been a rollercoaster for the last approximate month or so since it came out
@troytab6089 "As of yet, work hasn't even began on any of the new series." Three series are currently planned for Demacia, Noxus, and Ionia, with one of them having been in production for at least a year
So about the Mel stuff: The Black Rose, as far as I'm aware is part of the main storyline of Noxus, where Ambessa and Mel are from. The last shot with the three eyed crow is also representative of Swain, who is another champion in the game! So while it is underdeveloped, that's probably because it's set up for another series to come! Plus, jinx is totally still alive, which you can tell by the glitching at the end of the episode, the pink shimmer streak coming out of the explosion and into the air ducts, and the ship flying away from piltover, which is a reference to powder's first line in s1 e1: "someday, I'm gonna ride one of those things"
To piggyback off of this comment, Mel might hate her mother, but she also hates the Black Rose. They murdered her brother. She still wants revenge for that, and I feel like that's valid. Mel's magic doesn't seem like its the best for offense or delivering lethal blows, so I figure she used the Black Rose to land a finishing blow on her mother, but she clearly still feels some sort of care for her mom because she's family. I think that combination of factors is why Mel didn't leave Ambessa in the shadow realm.
@@withxoutxlife I wouldn't say Mel hated her mother. Considering she seemed still very hurt by her banishment despite the passing of over ten years and the fact that she told Jayce that a part of her still loves her family, her reactions towards her mother aren't those of hatred, but of disappointment and sorrow which fed into her lack of trust. If she truly hated Ambessa, she wouldn't have cradled her in her final moments and she wouldn't have visibly mourned her passing. Anger and disappointment are born of a feeling of betrayal and you can only be betrayed by those close to you, as they say. Hope this made a little bit of sense. As I've stated on other channels videos, I'm not the best at translating my long thoughts into text and often sound to myself like I'm chasing my tail or beating a dead horse. Also don't want to seem like I'm being rude, I was just hoping to clarify how I understood the relationship. 😊
5:38 No its "See how much better the world would be without Jayce!" Cause the explosion was bigger here and Jayce was just on the other side of the door. . . Or no one stopped him killing himself
I also think that if he did survive the explosion, the death of a child would have been a huge wake-up call for him (just as much as the death of that kid he accidentally hit in the factory in s1, if not more), to the point where it probably snapped the rose-tinted glasses he had towards magic wayyyy sooner. If he survived, maybe he got exiled as per protocol, or he did kill himself, or maybe Viktor still saved him, and they worked together to develop some actual ideas to help Zaun properly and are part of the reason for it prosperity (everything else in that world seems to be "where everything goes right", so why not this too?). Either way, I think Jayce would feel particularly responsible for Vi's death, because regardless of getting robbed, this time he actually had proof to Heimerdinger's warnings, and he's not the type to stay stubborn when he can see that what he's doing is wrong. And when he realizes that, he is always desperate to fix his mistakes, to the point of dropping everything else to achieve that. Also, I think the tragedy of it all would have made the upper city more willing to listen to the kids' motivation for going in to rob someone, instead of just trying to arrest them; the notoriety of it would make it impossible to hide from the public as well (btw, I bet the counsel had no idea that the culprits were children in the first place; if they would have, it might have deflated some of their demonizing tendencies). And then they'd also get the wake-up call of their own, learning about how bad it is for the fissure-folk, their past hardships, to the point where children were desperate enough to steal from such a highly monitored area. Hence the sincere intention to rebuild and heal the Undercity, even making a point to transform the bridge between the two cities from a dividing line to a connection point. They might have even learned about the failed uprising that was quashed by the enforcers years ago too, making the transformation of the bridge even more deliberate in an attempt to make amends. (Btw, I'd need to double check, but are there any enforcers in that alternate world after they united the two cities? Were they perhaps disbanded? That'd be wild.)
Ekko saved the day with the power the Aurosave feature.😂 Seriously though, he's a real one, giving up the universe of his dreams so he could save everyone. He certainly lived up to his title of "The Boy Savior."
Assuming he didn't destroy it lol AU Powder having the stones could just be for fun... she could do something good with them... I currently think that universe got a Jinx-Jayce (Jinx with the power of Jayce) ... JinxTech? err I need a name for this that doesn't sound like a ship lmaooo
Jayce was probably expelled from the city, hurt himself , or gave up on hextech. In the world where his work only damaged an apartment block he almost was banished and was kicked out of the academy, and tried to hurt himself after facing repercussions, while in this world it killed a child. He would have faced much worse repercussions from the explosion, plus we saw each time hextech has hurt people in front of Jayce he has wanted to end hextech over damaging people, firstly with the time Jinx killed enforcers for the hex crystal where he wanted to suspend all hextech, to when he killed a child with his hextech weapon and decided to give Zaun independence. If he can see the harm of his work directly he has given up on his dream every time.
@chris12412345123 since Caitlyn was killed in the same explosion, and she's a counselors daughter, Jayce got a harsher punishment than he did in the original timeline. That's why he's not there.
That is certainly true, but Piltover would still be fairly screwed without Mel. She came to Jayce's rescue, and Caitlyn's, and ultimately took out her own mother.
To be fair, shadow realm lady literally killed Elora (Mels assistant) right in front of her. That final sequence can be seen as offing two murderous birds with one magic stone
In the AU, I didn't interpret it as "everything's better without Vi." It's "everything's better without Hextech." And Vi's death is what prevented Hextech from being created; in the main timeline Jayce was able to get Mel on his side and Victor's interest because no one was really hurt. In the AU, someone DIED. No way would Victor or Mel in that world put themselves on the line for something that dangerous... at least, not Mel. Victor might, but Mel definitely wouldn't and it was her support more than anything that gave Hextech a chance in the main timeline.
I don't think Viktor was ever the type of guy to pursue anything at the risk of someone else's safety, just his own if you look back to what he did with the Hexcore. He was fine with it changing him, but the moment it took out Sky, he was heartbroken and wanted the Hexcore completely destroyed. He also told Jayce, "We agreed Hextech was to improve lives, not to take them". He definitely wouldn't have supported anything that would kill anyone.
who tf was upset with you for wanting more episodes? this season was like 3x the storylines with huge new plotpoints way beyond the scope of the already fast paced first season. I can't imagine anybody wouldn't have liked another 3 episodes or so to flesh out some of these deveopments. I think that's my only main critisism of the show, sure I would have liked some things to turn out differently but the pacing was the main thing that actually negatively impacted some of the developments
I understand why people feel this way, but I think I prefer it as is. The show uses this to showcase their ability to tell you just enough to understand
@@coreyarueckerI mean, sure it is just enough to understand, but if that was the point we would just read plots, not watch movies - I want to spend more time with this characters and really feel their motivations and turns, not simply piece them from clues bc the series can't slow down for a second. Not to mention that although I functionally understood Mel's arc, I still have no idea what was up with the "I see you, deceiver" - Like, is that supposed to mean something to us?
I was for Jayce since the beginning and I actually really loved him finally standing up to Mel, while yes she cared for him she also manipulated and used him for her own benefit while completely ignoring Viktor and his wishes.
about Violet's answer at the end: it makes total sense for that to be her love language, the way she says I love you. She comes from Zaun, where people work hard with their hands, her dads and mom worked in the mines, having dirt under your nails is not gross, it represents hard work and something deeply personal to her obviously. oof.
I'd love to see your assessment of a rewatch! I definitely caught a LOT more the second time through and really grew to appreciate Fortiche's talents for packing details into every moment. That said, I'm definitely with you on the way things felt rushed. I'd have loved at least one more arc of 3 episodes.
Episode 7: You may've already thought of this in your wrap up. We shouldn't think of this as a world without Vi, especially as I'm fairly certain Jayce and Caitlynn died in the blast as well. This took out the research of hextech and destroyed the Caramin's interest in supporting said interest in one go. This is a world without hextech.
I honestly see it as one of 2 things: - Jayce is either dead or in jail. The glimpse of the enforcers reactions clearly shows that Vi's death is being weighed more heavily than the break-in, and we know they wanted to lock-up his research and banish him due to being dangerous. - Cait is either dead or she survived but has no ties to the undercity in this timeline. We know that the only reason she has any presence in the undercity is to investigate crimes that aren't apparently happening in this timeline. Jinx (Powder) never, well, became Jinx, Silco isn't flooding the undercity with shimmer, and the lack of hextech in topside means there isn't as big of a wealth disparity between the 2 sides. In that case, sure she could've been shown, but it'd be harder to do while allowing the episode/scene to flow as well as it did. In this timeline, if alive, she has no real reason to be anywhere other than up top and far from everything else we got to see.
Keep in mind that the AU had a lot of other changes than just Vi dying. Because she died, Jayce would have had a child's death on his hands, causing him to have a harder trial, if he did not die himself. Victor would not be so intrigued by his theory because if it either way, so even if Jayce was still free, Victor would not have stopped him from.. well jumping. Pretty sure Silco found Vander's note in that timeline, causing him to forgive him eventually and not produce or stop producing shimmer. Also 3 years before Ekko came, the head of the counsel Heimerdinger appeared in this timeline. And he clearly has been working for positive change during those 3 years as he now was aware of the terrible conditions the people of Zaun were in.
I agree with all of the points about Vi and Caits relationship. They set up evil Cait too strong and didn't give enough of her turn to the light side so to speak. We needed some scenes of them talking and reconciling. I will say though, I love that Cait as a character tries to right her wrongs by taking ACTION. The best way to apologize is to change your behavior. Should we have gotten more apologizing... Yea, but Im glad she realizes her mistakes and changes how she acts right away.
to be honest, cait and vi never even say that they love each other; but they show it so much through actions that it is undoubtable. they have always functioned through actions and gestures. and vi is someone who has always been betrayed by words/promises, i believe we're putting what we would have wanted over what she would appreciate most as a character, i.e, action.
44:53 I belive Maddie was a Noxian agent the entire time. She was only a junior officer so she was probably new. She was chosen for the strike force based on heroic actions during the attack Ambessa set up. She probably stuck the nail in the bomb to sabotage that attack attempt at the end. The betrayal at the end she didn’t give personal reasons for
I appreciate you trying to help bud. I get what happened, I just wish there was more time to setup/payoff stuff. My confusion is with the choices, not the story. Still appreciate your attempt when lots of people are calling me stupid.
22:05 the thing is, caitvi doesn’t express things through words, they never have. caitlyn apologized through actions (letting jinx go, and-as one of the writers explained-letting vi go if she chose to leave with her as well, and touching the area where she hit vi with the gun). also the scene w them was kinda showing how vi was finally thinking about herself. she’s always made decisions with other people in mind, but choosing to be w cait is something she chose to do for herself.
Jinx is 100% alive, and will show up in a future series. She goes on a world tour apparently according to some LoL Lore Nerds. There’s no way we get like 5 minutes of Ekko convincing her to live and then to help for her to just repeat that later, plus there was a pink shimmer streak out of the explosion and then Cait analyzing the blueprints for the Hexgates finding those vents and then the final shot of the airship, there’s too much there for the intent to be she died. As for more time there was more, the creators have 60 minutes of animation they couldn’t include because of Netflix (they didn’t the creators release a feature length finale). Including apparently even more to the “handholding” scene which has been mentioned to possibly be eventually “leaked.” Heimerdinger is not dead, he’s a Yordle who are immortal, if they “die” they just respawn in their home dimension of Bandle City so they’re actually fairly notorious for sacrificing themselves. (Note Heimerdinger’s line in season 1 in response to Viktor’s “do you ever think about death Professor?” “Only of my friends”) also he didn’t explode like he did the first time and you can actually see blood and Heimer’s fur on Ekko’s face when he comes back from the limit test, which Heimerdinger must have noticed and was taken into account as part of his modifications.
I don't think you are sounding too negative. The show is so consistently great as a whole that the issues stick out so much. Was this season rushed, yes. Would it have been better with more episodes, yes. Is it still amazing for what its done in 18 total, yes. All these things can be true. As you said elsewhere its almost like pointing out flaws and wanting more episodes means you really really like it. Am so happy that Cait and Vi can be happy together, yes 100%. Do I wish there was more conversation about what happened, yea. Again both can be true. Loved watching your videos on this show!!!
I said this in your last reaction video but this season has been filled to the brim with “Show, Don’t Tell” moments. From something as small as facial/body animations (Caitlyn showing regret on her face for hitting Vi right before turning to climb up the ladder, Caitlyn’s gentle press toward where she hit Vi after she took Vi’s shirt off, etc.) to things as simple as symbolism (Ambessa trying to put Caitlyn back on the path she wants her to be on while she is literally trying to reignite a fire, Caitlyn’s eyes being sprayed painted on her poster then the paint drips down like tears which is basically a way to say she’s blinded and upset, etc.) to literally just parallels (Singed/The Doctor creating something as horrible as Shimmer out of love for his daughter can be seen a parallel to Caitlyn hurting Zaun out of love for her mother) and foreshadowing (There are tons of shots where Caitlyn has her left eye covered). This is why if you miss these things, which a lot of people do, everything looks like it’s either brushed off or speedrunned. Yeah, it could have been done better if they had more time, but there’s still stuff there at least. Plus, there are unfortunately actually a lot of scenes, most only storyboarded while others seemingly cut out, that definitely would have helped (Example: People discovered a scene on an animator’s PC screen during an interview that showed a bruised Caitlyn breaking down crying in her Act 1 uniform, which means this scene was likely originally going to be played after she left Vi in the sewers since it also takes place in an area that looks just like the “sewers” they were in after their fight with Jinx and Sevika) Anyway, like Jayce said "There is beauty in imperfections" and while I don't like S2 as much as S1, I still loved it a lot
I just wanna say I've had the worst day, but this has made it so much better and I'm not even 10 minutes in yet. I love your reactions so much, it's the perfect amount of escapism for me.
Powder's very first line was to look at a dirigible exactly like the one at the end, and saying "I'm gonna ride one of those one day." Plus, we can see a Shimmer line arcing off in the direction of the air ducts before the explosion. Combined with Caitlin's scene at the end, rhey were very clear that Jinx survived and is leaving Piltover behind; they just didnt say it directly. Remember, Vi initiated everything in the jail cell; they didnt go back to the bedroom because Vi finally feels like she has permission to choose something she wants for herself and doesn't want to wait a moment longer.
I am endlessly entertained at our different takes on Maddie. My first thought when she appeared on the screen in the first (I think?) episode was, "Who are you and can I get your number?" And I feel like Caitlin did them dirty, Caitlin did rebound with somebody who was genuinely interested in her and pushed them to the side on multiple occations. The betrayal in the end did make sense and wasn't out of nowhere to me based on Maddie's facial expressions whenever Caitlin ignored her and hyperfocused on Jinx and especially Vi, which was practically every scene they shared together. It's been genuinely fun seeing your reactions, especially when they are so opposite mine!
For the record: Jinx (as opposed to Powder) killed at least 15 people on-screen during the series through S2E8: Silco and the three councilors in S1E9, six enforcers and three Firelights in S1E4, and two of Sneech's goons in S2E2. We don't see Caitlyn kill anyone. Mind you, the use of chemical agents on a civilian population would be a war crime in our world, so it's not like she's off the hook even if she never personally offed anyone (and one suspects the raids on the two other chem barons weren't bloodless). The point being, they both have plenty of blood on their hands, much (most?) of which they regret. That's why this conversation means something.
While they are gathering the names of the fallen you possibly see Jinx in the crowd placing a name in the bowl as it passes. The mystery blue haired woman has her hair up in the same style of the alt universe Jinx. The airship at the end is a callback to episode 1 when Powder says she was going to fly in it one day.
Heimerdinger is in a odd spot, classic lore wise yordles cant die. They simply reform back in their magical homeland of bandle city. One could say that him saying "ill be back in a jiffy" is him saying "yea I'll see you in a few years". Though since this happened in a different universe which city he ended up in is still in the air, if of course any of the yordle lore actually matters in arcane.
I do feel like season 1 set up some really good class warfare themes but season 2 pulled a Watchman "we have to solve our differences not through systemic change but by forgiving our oppressors and coming together"
46:19 okey okey, sorry for the comment spam 😅. I should have waited. I also was confused by why Jace shot Victor in the first place. My boyfriend then pointed out that: only after he is shot by Jace, he realizes the "what inspires is to our greatest good is also our Greatest evil" thing. Wich is important later to see that he also follows this principle. It is important so that Jace can show him what happened in the future. In other words: Jace has to shoot him so that Viktor reflects on the "both sides of a coin" thing. And it can only be done by Jace ("only you can show me this") The other thing is that without Ekko, Jace wouldn't have enough time. (By rewinding Ekko gave him more time to explain and show). But Ekko only invented time travel because of the acceleration rune from Jace (the first rune, the one on his wrist). Viktor gives Jace a different rune in every AU, so sadly... This is the only universe where Jace succeeds.
I understand how it leads to the resolution, im still confused why he did it at all after he was sent back by AU Viktor lol Did future Viktor give him a plan? Picturing Viktor telling Jayce to blast him makes me giggle.
@@thethirdbill in some way, future viktor NOT being an eldrich cosmic monstrosity means that every other time, jayce didn't blast the top half of his body to mars, meaning that in some way it had to happen. beyond that, no real clue what it accomplishes. just one of those causality things i think
Love that you bring up how Caitlyn and the enforcers have harmed so many as well. If it was so important for Jinx to answer for her crimes, would Caitlyn have turned herself over and had a trial for her own warcrimes against Zaun? HMMM??? Also great jokes this video. All the milk commentary (sobbing at milking Sevika), Legs of Lesbians, and Cait winking are going to stick with me lol. I know that this was a rough watch but I so so appreciate your perspective and the depth of your emotions that you show and share with us.
Caitlyn did show growth near the end and acknowledge what she'd done. You'll note that when she confronted Jinx in the cell, one of the lines she said was "No amount of good deeds can undo our crimes". Not "your crimes", but "our crimes". Add in the "Hating you... I've hated myself. I just don't have the energy for it any longer." and you can see she wants to break the cycle and walk away herself, but needs Jinx to give her the way to do so.
Would I like more Arcane? Sure. Do I also respect them erring on the side of leaving us wanting more? Absolutely! The whole series was fast-paced, dense with plot, subtle interactions, and subtext, so I feel like the last act wasn't much different from the rest of the show in that regard.
You're right about the very end, it's speculated by a lot of people that Jinx may have survived by leaving those ducts that Caitlyn was searching through the schematics of. If you look at the start of the explosion there is a flash and line of pinkish-purple that's often used for Jinx's speed-ups she does with Shimmer that is heading towards the ducts. The theory is that they may of not found either of their bodies/any records of them in the area, and so they must of escaped or left somewhere (since the last time there was explosion of that scale it did not kill Warwick/Vander, meaning there should have at least been his body there). People also speculate that Caitlyn kept this to herself and did not tell Vi as another way to show the message they tried to get across of "I think the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away." She recognized that Jinx lived, and that since she still had not shown herself and it clearly had been a few days/weeks/months since the battle, shown best by Caitlyn having her injuries gone + the city is running well enough to have airships leaving again, she clearly did not want to be found anymore, and letting Vi know at this point may just make Vi want to find Jinx, which would continue the cycle. It being on one of the airships has the extra nice factor of Powder saying in Season 1 Act 1 that she's going to ride one of the airships one day. She finally got her first in the show and it was the final moment. We apologize for the lack of the beach episode, but surely between the nice vibes of Episode 7 and the Caitlyn/Vi sex scene it equaled out enough I hope? Anyway great analysis and reaction as always!
I believe that last line from Vi is supposed to be a translation of a saying in Spanish, "Ser uña y mugre". It's an expression to basically describe the close relationship between two things and/or persons. It did not get translated properly, they could have gone with, "two peas in a pod" or "joined at the hip" in some way but maybe they decided those were not grimdark enough for the show. Either way, hope that clarifies what it means for some.
Yeah, it just sounds like Vi is demeaning herself by saying that she’s literal dirt. It could’ve been romantic if she had said it before, or heard it before. (Her mom and dad were miners with Vander and Silco. They could’ve done something with that where it’s like Zaunite work hard and dirt just means you’ve done good or something.)
@@Cainen_ i mean the show shouldn't have to tell you that for you to understand that's the meaning its in the subtext of Vi's character and in the context of the undercity as a community. Blisters and Bedrock.
@@acetales148 it doesn’t has to, but with Bill’s reaction being similar to mine, it just sounds like Vi is demeaning herself. Which, she is going through a hard time, and is still drinking. I guess that’s the nuance but for a person who watching the episode for the first time, it’s just sad. I wouldn’t say it’s out of place though.
I realize we never did see you react to Digital Circus ep. 3 and now we got ep. 4, I hope you return to this because there's some really great stuff for you!
I took "you are the wolf" to be yes praise, but also acknowledgement that she was wrong in what it means to be the wolf and the fox. Mel had it right the whole time, Ambessa realizes it in her defeat
I agree that more episodes were needed. That being said, given this number of episodes this is the best they could have possibly done. I do think mel and jinx's stories will be continued in a spin off
A bunch of little details and easter eggs, trying not to repeat ones I see in other comments. I'm sorry about the length - this started out small but I have SO MANY thoughts and feeling about this show. 1) I know you skipped the opening but it actually had a lot of little hints, things would even change between episodes. One of my favorite references was Cait putting her hands over her face and creating a shadow with a crown behind her - a clear reference to Macbeth. Truly, heavy is the crown. 2) The doll that first fights Mel and Jayce is Huck, the first shimmer addict Victor saved. If you look at his clothes when he welcomes people to the commune, it has the same shoulder design as the doll. Poor Huck has been through a lot through Arcane... 3) Really, the true winner who got everything he wanted was Singed, and his daughter is actually another champion named Orianna. This is foreshadowed in both the reveal of his name - Dr. Reveck, who is from Orianna's lore, as well as through details like the music box and the ballerina in here room. Both her and Singed's lore was altered by this show as I don't think they were originally connected, but it is a fascinating bit of storytelling. 4) On the subject of champions, we are clearly going to Noxus for at least part of the next spinoff. Besides Mel's story being unfinished, we also see other signs like the fact that the being that gave her the necklace is a champion named LeBlanc. This is known because she is the head of the Black Rose Cabal, known for shifting forms and affecting things from the shadows, and one of her many nicknames is "the Deceiver" - the same thing Mel calls her in the last battle. Also, the three eyed raven is a reference to another champion and ruler of Noxus - Swain. 5) In more connections to League lore, Yordles - the race that Heimerdinger is a part of - can't die. They are spirit being that sort of respawn at their homeland when that happens. So considering we also didn't get a body, the professor is likely alive, maybe sent to another AU? 5.5) I think that the reason things are so 'good' in the AU is because our Heimerdinger had three years to help things along after learning what people really need from Echo. Old Heimer ruled from above and didn't see that, and then lost power. But without hextech there was no Jayce to boot him out, and no hextech to cause bigger problems. Also makes me think that Jayce, who was behind the door when the kids exploded his lab the first time, might also be dead alongside Vi and be the real difference... 6) I'm pretty sure Sky was a representation of Victor's humanity. It also makes her last words do haunting - "No, you won't," in response to him missing her, because he is giving up the humanity it takes to feel anything like 'missing' people at all. 7) If you catch it in the moment Maddie shoots Caitlyn, there is an impact frame of her smiling which makes her death SO much more satisfying tbh. I also have a theory that we get to see it because Mel, who LeBlanc explained is an empath, sensed Maddie's inner malice, that smile. That would explain her shield containing Maddie rather than protecting Cait like she does later. 7.5) On that note, I truly believe Maddie was a Noxian spy from the start. Not only is this backed up by League lore of the country, as they are known for sending spies ahead to prepare for conquest, but also consider: she was the one that convinced Vi to join the force, the one that slept with Cait and was there to whisper in her ear and hear her plans, she was the first to pound her chest alongside the Noxians when Ambessa put Cait in power... it would also just make Ambessa's line about professional entanglement so much more savage. 8) Caitlyn losing an eye is constantly foreshadowed with shots of her face with that eye covered throughout the season. 9) On a simpler positive note, the council table in the last episode is the same one from season 1, rebuilt instead of being replaced! You can see the golden lines where they repaired it - it is a Japanese art called Kintsugi, making something broken anew into something even better with all its imperfections. There's a good shot of it at 14:46 of episode 8. It makes me hopeful as a symbol for the future of Zaun and Piltover, though that battle of repair is far from won. 10) If you look at the necklace Echo gave Powder, it has both of their faces in the rose petals and the blue rose represents unattainable love. I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE 11) I HAVE to stop here but as a final note there are SO many parallels in this show that I adore. 100% planning to rewatch both seasons to catch more of them, but just as a few examples out of VERY many: the episode 3 scene of Caitlyn abandoning Vi mirrors s1e3 where Vi leaves Powder, down to Powder/Vi's pose and expressions; Isha puts three orbs in the gun just like Powder put three in the monkey in season 1; Jayce/Victor and their hextech dream are a continuous mirror to Vander/Silco and their dream of Zaun; Echo in S1 and Vi in s2 freeze up when fighting Jinx the exact same way... Love your content and reactions, I'm sorry this show hits so hard though. Sending positive vibes and would love to hear more thoughts on the show as a whole!
I feel like people always want to be super defensive of media they enjoy. Leading to those who criticize anything being attacked. I agree that there should’ve been more eps, honestly Cait being corrupt and Jinx being a sort of symbol could’ve and imo should’ve been in a season of their own. I feel like it would’ve given Cait more time to explore her feelings about Jinx and could have also left room for Vi to feel true conflict at being an enforcer. A third was needed, that being said I really enjoyed season 2 and Arcane as a whole! Side note: I’m pretty sure that one of the people who worked on Arcane straight up said they got bored of Vi so they decided to barely focus on her in this season. I have very mixed feelings about the lead writer dude ngl. Another side note: It’s confirmed that Maddie is a Noxian and was bad from the beginning.
Well, here I am fashionably late to the Arcane party. However, I am pleasantly surprised and happy with how this played out. I too wish we had more time with certain characters and timelines but I respect the team for keeping to the current story and keeping it to the flow. As always, the pure joy of Bill awkwardly laughing a lil too hard to his own jokes never gets old. On point as always, much respect to the devil’s medium.
time for some more tears the memories as jinx and vander are falling, are vanders the girls are asleep, they wouldnt have that memory, only vander is awake, and his claws and big, strong and sharp, yet he never cut jinx vander is still in there
44:55 Maddie is a really loyal character. We as an audience thought she was loyal to cait as the leader, but she never was. She is however loyal to piltover. She makes her Decisions based on what she thinks is best for the city. Who knows if she ever really loved Cait or was just trying to influence her decisions for the city. Interesting character for sure
She was an enforcer first, so I'd say she's the opposite of loyal. Like I said, would love more time so she could be a character, especially to see Caitlyn regret how she treated Vi when she's with someone who enables her worst thoughts and actions. Favorite thing about her was still the assumption I had in Act 1 she was just 'canon fodder' and not thinking she'd do something so big as to betray Caitlyn... but Caitlyn already lost? So I could see Maddie switching sides to survive? But Ambessa doesn't take prisoners... still a great scene.
@@thethirdbill well who knows if the pan failed 🤔 maybe Cait wanted a partner who would not destroy her mother's expensive cookware. Valid reason to break up imo Welp, guess she made scrambled eggs after all ✨
I’m surprised you weren’t praising yourself to the high heavens with how spot on you were with Ma Meilleure Ennemie; because you fucking nailed the meaning and feeling of the song all without any context. Seriously, I’m still blown away with how perfectly you summed up the song and voiced and why it’s so amazing when you reacted to the soundtrack. You also vocalized some of my own feelings, with the idea of how when the show nails something it hits it out of the goddamn park beyond spectacularly, so when it fumbles or misses the mark, it might seem unfair to criticize or expect more, but Arcane and its creators have repeatedly shown they can do better.
I appreciate that a lot! Being 'right' isn't the point, and i think it would be exhausting to say it everytime... and i get absorbed in stuff very easily and forget to reference past videos lol Thank you for the kindness! It helps me navigate the online nonsense :')
I have so many critiques about this season to the point that sometimes I sound like a hater, but I just want this (incredible, the best we ever had) show to be good... their biggest miss was concentrating so much on the milk magic thing while completely abandoning the zaun-piltover conflict. No, Sevika on the council is not a good ending to that (better than nothing, still bad), and I will die on that hill. I oh so wish that the milk magic was a plot to s3, and s2 was all about zaunites and sisters. We had Jinx being a symbol for 3 seconds and then nothing after that. Someone in that writing room should've said "are we losing the plot?" at some point, and the answer is "yes." Every time I watch your reactions, I audibly say to my screen "THANK YOU" when you make a point that I agree with, and so many reactors miss
In the shows defence I will say that sevika on the concil probably isn't meant to be a satisfying conclusion to the class plot, like they said, the story isn't over, the plot of "arcane" is about the magic with the class themes as a background setting, not to mention I'm sure that this won't be the last time we go to piltover and zaun, by fully resolving the conflict you would rob future stories of this setting (plus it also shows how deep seated political issues can't inherently be resolved in an instant nor are they easy) With jinx as a revolutionary, I would say that she never actually took up that role herself, she was thrust into that position by others looking for something to believe in, and even then the only reason half the underground came to the final fight was presumably because of jinx/ekko I'm not saying the shows flawless, and you may not like that it was focused on the arcane over the politics, that's up to personal taste really, but in what it set out to do, I think it accomplished it quite well
I think about that scene between Amanda and Alex from BTR where she was concerned that they’re “putting too many things in the bathwater and drowning the baby” this season pretty often… I have to think that she was right.
In pre Arcane LoL Lore, Jayce and Viktor were described as rivals in Hextech, but never close. But Arcane is the new basis for League Lore going forward, so that should change. Other examples of changes are things like Vi and Jinx being sisters, it was never confirmed until Arcane, but now that's standard. Caitlyn and Vi were assumed to be together, but now it's confirmed. Jayce and Victor follow a similar premise in Arcane as previous lore, where Viktor saw Jayce getting too obsessed with power and popularity and it caused him to see the downfall of human emotions, so he went with his Glorious Evolution based on perfection and logic. Ambessa is the newest Champion in League, so I was surprised to see her "die" (more than one character has "died" before, so I hold no certainty that that's the last of her. I think another commenter said this, but if we keep some lore, Heimer can't die. No Yordles can. I hate that I don't know what happened to Jayce and Viktor, but we'll see in the upcoming projects, I assume. One of which has been in production for a year. I don't think Warwick nor Jinx are dead either. Jinx for all the reasons people already have said, but also, she has alot of relations to other Champions in the universe, so she needs to meet some of them. But Warwick as a Viktor saved being, survived much more than a full Hextech Gauntlet Vi. His regenerative abilities are insane. I just don't know how much of Vander will be there. In game, he gets flashes of memories, but I don't think they outperform his bloodlust.
39:55 Jinx is almost definitely alive. S2E7: "Vi keeps fighting because she is afraid" - this is important, Jinx in main universe certainly understands that too S2E8: In the prison talk with Silco, Jinx realizes that she needs to walk away... the way she chooses to is definitely the worst, but it makes sense for her S2E9: If you go frame by frame on the explosion, you can see pink streak shooting off BEFORE explosions happens. Then we see Caitlyn looking Hexgate schematics holding piece of the bomb and focusing on the duct vents and smiling knowingly. And finally, last scene is airship going over the sea with Jinx end graffiti. Why this is important? Well because in S1E1: Powder looks at EXACT same airship saying "One day I'm gonna ride in one of those things". Now, producer Christian Linke during interview with Necrit confirmed that they are working on next story, looking into Demacia, Noxus and Ionia. With ship going over the sea and by comparing it with the map, ship is almost 99% certainly going towards Ionia.
I loved seeing your reaction to the end of the season! I agree that another season would have given things a little more time to develop and made Mel and Victor's power development feel less rushed. What I wouldn't give to see what they cut from the season. I would love to hear your in depth thoughts on the show and theories!
They actually had about 60 minutes of cut footage from the last episode because the producers didn't let them make a 2 hour long episode, but they also didn't give them more episodes or more seasons to do, so they had to cut and it feels rushed now
To which I ask, "Is it possible to add at least some of them back in, assuming the bits added act more as filler/clarification for the existent plot, then re-releasing it all together as an expanded 'Director's Cut?'"
In the AU Vi's death prevented the creation of hextech while also being such a tragedy that Silco and Vander reconcile and topside perhaps has more sympathy for Zaun.
To be honest, I was low-key under the impression that their reconciliation began longer ago than the death of Vi. For them to be where they are now, I personally assumed that they began the process of forgiveness not too long after Felicia's death thanks to the letter Vander wrote to Silco, the same one left undiscovered in the main timeline. And so, while they likely were still stand-offish with one another for a number of years, they never developed the same, deep seeded hatred for one another that they did in the main universe, which in turn meant that Silco likely never went down the same dark path; this is hinted at due to the lack of Shimmer contamination in Silco's cut eye -- instead of relying on toxic drugs as a temporary fix to dull the pain, he was able to rely on his emotional support system to help work through the pain and (physically, and mentally) heal. Thus, by the time Vi dies, Silco and Vander are either already back on decent terms, or the death of Vi acts as the final thing needed to bring them together again.
@bennyboiart7781 I hadn't caught that Silco's scar was different. Good catch. That makes sense and fits thematically and gives the letter more of a reason to exist in the story. Very nice 👍
I totally agree with you that the season needed a bit more time to be fleshed out... I don't know if I'd go for a full more season (I'm sure they could've made it work, but it was too tightly paced that I'm not sure if it was sustainable in the long run), but at least a full, additional act. They really threw a lot of stuff at us and, while the vast majority landed, a scant few could've benefitted from a little more time to breathe. Still, I think it's as you said: since Arcane is so brilliant when it sticks the landing and so consistent at doing it, the points where it *barely* doesn't stick out.
I understand the confusion about Arcane ending. Considering that Arcane is only a small part of runetera the league of legends universe, theres so many characters and lands to explore. We really just focused on this group for this series
Cool little character arc that goes overlooked is Huck in S1 E1 he's a nerdy sales man who is saved by Vander, later on he's a shimmer junkie and sells Vi and Cait out to Silco in S1 E6 then in S2 E2 he tries to rob Victor and becomes the first member of The Church of the Glorious Evolved He then appears as the greeter and second in command in S2 E5 and finally if you look at the pendant and shoulder pad he wears in S2 E5 and the ones on the robot we see attack Jayce and Mel in S2 E8 you'll notice that he becomes the first robot. All of this because he "Wants to know what its like to be somebody, to make others afraid." and he did just that yet still is forgotten, a nobody.
Just did the math cuz I was curious, but Heimerdinger was waiting for Ekko to awaken in the alternate reality for just over 3 years, meaning he still got sent back in the years after the prototype Hextech gemstone exploded, but I wonder if he awoke in a similar position to his former role at the academy and on the council of Piltover, and chose to come to Zaun to find Ekko and stay close to him.
I for one like to think that he spent his years wisely by taking advantage of what he learned while with Ekko and doing his best to leverage his power on the council to actively help the people of the under-city. And instead of idly spending his free time at concerts and glamorous parties, he actually goes out into the city to continue to connect with people and their needs in the present. Then, only once things have gotten to a reasonably stable place does he voluntarily retire from his post on the council, giving him all the more time to devote himself to fostering the next generation of bright minds.
BILL!!!! if ur interested u should totally watch epic the musical!! It’s music and story and full of fun motifs, based on the odyssey (a Greek tale)! The official animatics for parts of the songs are part of the livestreams commissioned by artists who actually made their own before becoming part of it :DDD
17:15 you see this is the thing, I feel like so many ppl forget what jinx did in season 1. Remember she blew up a building unprovoked killing 6 enforces and Caitlyn being caught in it and then blew her up AGAIN on the bridge. When she shot at her trying to kill her, when she kidnap a NAKED Caitlyn also unproved to then gag her and try to manipulate Vi into killing her, the killed her mom like hello?! I love jinx but Caitlyn has all the right to hate Jinx for what she has done. Not to be mention that Caitlyn knows due to Ekko that Jinx killed innocent Firelights that were trying to save their ppl and helped Silco be a literal kingpin to Zaun. Caitlyn's kill count of Zaunites is literally 0 I don't know where ya'll are getting the info of her massacring them. Ya'll forget that the small strike team that she lead literally stopped piltover from doing a full scale invasion on Zaun. They targeted and took down the remaining chembarons (who jinx literally helped in harming her own community btw) and where shown literally using stun nets (and no that's not saying that them u sing the grey was okay). The only time Cait put actual bullets with the intent to kill during the search was when they were about to fight jinx, they literally show her putting the specific bullets. Also Cait's family doesn't own the military they're manufacturers, Caitlyn was the first enforcer in her family and only named commander by Ambessa after the council declared martial law. Regarding Mel, I'm pretty sure the next series is gonna focus on Noxus so we'll most definitely see her there and how her story will continue. I do agree on wishing they made Jinx being alive more obvious. I still loved this season, I think it suffered from having a lot of scenes cut (specially for Caitvi and Timebomb), like ep9 was supposed to be an hour and something (I blame Netfl!x for it being cut). I think each act should've been 4 episodes instead 3, it would've fleshed things out a bit more and would've been perfect for me. Edit: about VI’s line at the end, I’ve actually been surprised at the amount of ppl I’ve seen thinking it was weird and taking it in some other way. But maybe that’s cause I’m Hispanic/Latino and what Vi said it’s a popular Spanish saying meaning that you’re committed, close and inseparable. Also VI’s parents were miners I like to think that she heard them say that to each other growing up.
I feel like it would be SO FUN to react/watch something with bill he matches the energy of what’s happening perfectly ☺️😂 Ps you should check out ‘rainbow frog biscuits’ they’re a musician I think you’d love
Why did he shoot Viktor in the chest? Well when you pull out, you only have so long before you shoot, and Jayce couldn't wait long enough to get to Viktor's face. I hope this helps.
*gasp*
Ohhh I gotta go back. I didn’t even catch that.
that hat is too big.
I agree. Especially since Ambessa was so big on the virtue of sacrifice. She would fw Isha

"Animation is the devil's media, pictures shouldn't move! Drawings shouldn't move!!" Is objectively the FUNNIEST response to Arcane's ending I ever heard 💀
it's an old tumblr joke
if it is, that's a coincidence. ive been making that joke my whole life because i listened to the "devil's music" growing up
Random but I saw a meme that was like

Jayce: my partner died in this room >:(
Viktor: i will ascend those unwilling
29:07 “if they milk Sevika”
I spat out my coffee, holy shit, Bill, you can’t just say shit like that
well, them milking Sevika isn't that bad, it would have been even worse if they milked Ekko. At least Viktor got to milk Jayce...
Holy shit, I am deceased. 🤣🤣🤣
The elevator button "going down" made me laugh so hard I got lightheaded 😂
You mean light-elevator'd lmaoooo
Best part of this reaction hands down, in among a number of good parts. Legit belly laugh.
I definetly agree that this season would've been even better with an extra act or season, however its still a show that even at its faults feels better than most other shows
it's almost like... wanting more episodes means you like it and its really good :')
@@thethirdbillThey had 2 more hours of footage that they had to remove due to Netflix saying it was too long. Also there is about 60 minutes of footage for Jinx and Ekko preparing for battle. It’s supposed to mirror episode 7. 😢
@@blueblamkiss Which is bullsh*t because they let stranger things 4 have a 2 and a half hour movie of a finale.
In other words, he is valuing these moment of time
i cant stop everything and time the frames lol but yeah, adorable overload. arcane cant handle so much positivity. jokejokejoke!

Extra fun fact, way back in season one with young Ekko, it takes him 4 seconds to leave the shop
"At least the bullet wasn't straight..." BILL. She's dead, you don't have to roast her body lolol

Fun fact... the reason the bomb didn't go off... that nail in the gear? Maddie was the one who handed it out...
"I need the tops and bottoms to verse this enemy" was a killer joke, and I just wanted you to know I enjoyed it.
That genuinely means a lot! :')
My theory is AU Powder would try using hextech stones to see our Vi
The runes on Riktus's corpse were to prevent the Black Rose from using his image as a deception, and to prevent other magics from working on his body.
Oh, that's an interesting detail! I just chalked it up to Noxian burial rites and left it at that.
makes a lot of sense with how close he is with Ambessa, I just thought it was due to him possibly fighting Vastayans on a Noxus campaign
22:00 I thought the little Funko CaitVi ship image was funny, but the DOWN ELEVATOR BUTTON Is HILARIOUS!! Well played!!
I like to think we made some lemonade out of the lemons that is worrying about ads lol
@@thethirdbill but avengers are a group made frome different series and films right ? it would be the same thing here
@@thethirdbillso apparently the creators said that they plan on covering three more regions of runeterra for more “Arcane” shows, also in universe.
Man, this has been a rollercoaster for the last approximate month or so since it came out
@troytab6089 "As of yet, work hasn't even began on any of the new series."
Three series are currently planned for Demacia, Noxus, and Ionia, with one of them having been in production for at least a year
So about the Mel stuff:
The Black Rose, as far as I'm aware is part of the main storyline of Noxus, where Ambessa and Mel are from.
Even if he did survive, no way would he be allowed to keep researching hextech after it killed a person
36:06 "NO ONE KILLED THAT GUY??" hahahaha
the critters deserve justice...oh yeah and the people too lol
That has to be the most appropriate reaction to Singed, because it's the only relevant question anyone ever has about him.
Singed got away JUST like he does in his gameplay; its poetry!
@@kennedyweaver8397 Where did you see that Caitlyn died in the explosion? They only showed Powder crying over Vi. 🧐
To be fair, shadow realm lady literally killed Elora (Mels assistant) right in front of her. That final sequence can be seen as offing two murderous birds with one magic stone
Never thought I’d hear the word “milk” in arcane 18 times.
I don’t think we have the same definition of that word
it's a fun bit spanning all my videos on Arcane Season 2 that got way out of hand lol i hope you enjoy them if you check them out!
Considering Jayce and Cait there at the explosion originally, they may have died, too
Or Jayce might have been banished like they originally wanted to
I don't think Viktor was ever the type of guy to pursue anything at the risk of someone else's safety, just his own if you look back to what he did with the Hexcore.
I think that's my only main critisism of the show, sure I would have liked some things to turn out differently but the pacing was the main thing that actually negatively impacted some of the developments
i appreciate the backup lol
I understand why people feel this way, but I think I prefer it as is. The show uses this to showcase their ability to tell you just enough to understand
@@coreyarueckerI mean, sure it is just enough to understand, but if that was the point we would just read plots, not watch movies - I want to spend more time with this characters and really feel their motivations and turns, not simply piece them from clues bc the series can't slow down for a second. Not to mention that although I functionally understood Mel's arc, I still have no idea what was up with the "I see you, deceiver" - Like, is that supposed to mean something to us?
The part about animation being devliry and 'drawings shouldn't move' KILLED ME. 10/10 reaction as always. Thank you.
I was for Jayce since the beginning and I actually really loved him finally standing up to Mel, while yes she cared for him she also manipulated and used him for her own benefit while completely ignoring Viktor and his wishes.
Right? Like I love Mel but “you said we were an investment!” “You are an investment” like ouch
@Cilibi it's worse considering jayce refuting her claiming herself to be no more than a passenger
All praise Bill the prophet! They have suffered for us, so we may listen and learn.
wow! unsolicited praise! i love it! thank you for doing this of your own volition and not because anyone told you to!
Fun fact: The Arcane art book Artifact Edition has scribbles in it from Jinx. It has "I LIVE" written all over the box!
about Violet's answer at the end: it makes total sense for that to be her love language, the way she says I love you. She comes from Zaun, where people work hard with their hands, her dads and mom worked in the mines, having dirt under your nails is not gross, it represents hard work and something deeply personal to her obviously. oof.
Apparently this is also a common phrase in other parts of the world for inseparable
I honestly see it as one of 2 things:
- Jayce is either dead or in jail.
Fun fact: that low framerate scene of them dancin is done at 4fps
4 is tied to Ekko in a lot of scenes that involve em if you look hard enough
44:53
I belive Maddie was a Noxian agent the entire time.
@@thethirdbill I see 👍
Still appreciate the 'let me help' vibe over the "NO YOUR WRONG BOO" vibe of others :')
The beach day was actually the shores of Piltover where the Noxian ships were coming in.
... did you just indirectly imply Saving Private Ryan has a beach day?! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO
Including apparently even more to the “handholding” scene which has been mentioned to possibly be eventually “leaked.”
Heimerdinger is not dead, he’s a Yordle who are immortal, if they “die” they just respawn in their home dimension of Bandle City so they’re actually fairly notorious for sacrificing themselves.
Plus, there are unfortunately actually a lot of scenes, most only storyboarded while others seemingly cut out, that definitely would have helped (Example: People discovered a scene on an animator’s PC screen during an interview that showed a bruised Caitlyn breaking down crying in her Act 1 uniform, which means this scene was likely originally going to be played after she left Vi in the sewers since it also takes place in an area that looks just like the “sewers” they were in after their fight with Jinx and Sevika)
Anyway, like Jayce said "There is beauty in imperfections" and while I don't like S2 as much as S1, I still loved it a lot
I just wanna say I've had the worst day, but this has made it so much better and I'm not even 10 minutes in yet. I love your reactions so much, it's the perfect amount of escapism for me.
35:49 killed me LFMAO FIRST IT WAS “Judas-“ on the last video and now this BAHAHHA
"this is the worst show ever. Drawings shouldn't move. Ill never forgive you" so true speak on it 😭😭😭
I am endlessly entertained at our different takes on Maddie.
My first thought when she appeared on the screen in the first (I think?) episode was, "Who are you and can I get your number?"
And I feel like Caitlin did them dirty, Caitlin did rebound with somebody who was genuinely interested in her and pushed them to the side on multiple occations.
14:20 "WOoAH! Hear me out" So true king. So true. Also, that was quick lmao
And it can only be done by Jace ("only you can show me this")
The other thing is that without Ekko, Jace wouldn't have enough time.
@@thethirdbillHe did it cause he was acting out of fear, acting out of anger.
Wizard!Viktor: So anyway, you start blasting
Jayce: wait what

Love that you bring up how Caitlyn and the enforcers have harmed so many as well. If it was so important for Jinx to answer for her crimes, would Caitlyn have turned herself over and had a trial for her own warcrimes against Zaun? HMMM???
Also great jokes this video. All the milk commentary
(sobbing at milking Sevika), Legs of Lesbians, and Cait winking are going to stick with me lol.
I know that this was a rough watch but I so so appreciate your perspective and the depth of your emotions that you show and share with us.
Thank you so much for the kindness! It really helps navigate the internet junk! Lots of people took this the wrong way and are being intense about it.
I know you haven’t done like full anime on the channel yet, but I’d love to see you watch frieren. I feel like it’s exactly your type of show
"yay??" Is the realist reaction to seeing them kill
edit: kiss****
The finale was apparently supposed to be like an hour longer and got cut pretty severely which makes a lot of sense with how fast the finale goes
YES BEARD DADDY, GIVE US THE FULL SERIES RETROSPECTIVE!

Thank you for respecting the boundary while hyping me up! :')
Woo! Loving your reaction/reviews. ❤

the ranch upstate joke made me do a spit take lol
i just want them to be happy and together and alive 😭😭😭
45:33 The Mysterious Beyond... I haven't heard that phrase in like 20 years... was that a "The Land Before Time: The Mysterious Beyond" reference??
YES!!!
Loved your reactions, keepup the great work!!!
Thank god someone else cried before episode seven even got to the intro. I was starting to worry.
"Not even Vi can stop hurting Vi."
I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE
11) I HAVE to stop here but as a final note there are SO many parallels in this show that I adore.
21:57 That visual gag is hilarious
Well, here I am fashionably late to the Arcane party. However, I am pleasantly surprised and happy with how this played out.
I too wish we had more time with certain characters and timelines but I respect the team for keeping to the current story and keeping it to the flow.
As always, the pure joy of Bill awkwardly laughing a lil too hard to his own jokes never gets old. On point as always, much respect to the devil’s medium.
time for some more tears
the memories as jinx and vander are falling, are vanders
the girls are asleep, they wouldnt have that memory, only vander is awake, and his claws and big, strong and sharp, yet he never cut jinx
vander is still in there
44:55 Maddie is a really loyal character.
WAIT WHAT IF MADDIE IS WHY THE PLAN FAILED?!
Edit: Plan not pan lmaoooo
@@thethirdbill well who knows if the pan failed 🤔 maybe Cait wanted a partner who would not destroy her mother's expensive cookware.
Valid reason to break up imo
Welp, guess she made scrambled eggs after all ✨
She was confirmed to be noxian
33:34 the "hear me out" I'm sorry but that SENT me
I’m surprised you weren’t praising yourself to the high heavens with how spot on you were with Ma Meilleure Ennemie; because you fucking nailed the meaning and feeling of the song all without any context.
Someone in that writing room should've said "are we losing the plot?" at some point, and the answer is "yes."
Every time I watch your reactions, I audibly say to my screen "THANK YOU" when you make a point that I agree with, and so many reactors miss
i wont apologize for my feelings, i WILL apologize for making 'milk magic' a thing lmaooo
@thethirdbill no, it's funny, don't apologize. They hated jesus because he t̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶r̶u̶t̶h̶ was too silly
...am I the viktor? THe viktor is me????
In the shows defence I will say that sevika on the concil probably isn't meant to be a satisfying conclusion to the class plot, like they said, the story isn't over, the plot of "arcane" is about the magic with the class themes as a background setting, not to mention I'm sure that this won't be the last time we go to piltover and zaun, by fully resolving the conflict you would rob future stories of this setting (plus it also shows how deep seated political issues can't inherently be resolved in an instant nor are they easy)
With jinx as a revolutionary, I would say that she never actually took up that role herself, she was thrust into that position by others looking for something to believe in, and even then the only reason half the underground came to the final fight was presumably because of jinx/ekko
I'm not saying the shows flawless, and you may not like that it was focused on the arcane over the politics, that's up to personal taste really, but in what it set out to do, I think it accomplished it quite well
I think about that scene between Amanda and Alex from BTR where she was concerned that they’re “putting too many things in the bathwater and drowning the baby” this season pretty often… I have to think that she was right.
'Cool fanart man' made me laugh harder than it should have.
It definitely needed 1 more season to reach full potential but my god I don’t think anyone can be mad about the amazing season we got.
GO SPIN THE WHEEL AND SEE WHERE IT LAAAAANDS
39:55 Jinx is almost definitely alive.
S2E7: "Vi keeps fighting because she is afraid" - this is important, Jinx in main universe certainly understands that too
S2E8: In the prison talk with Silco, Jinx realizes that she needs to walk away... the way she chooses to is definitely the worst, but it makes sense for her
S2E9: If you go frame by frame on the explosion, you can see pink streak shooting off BEFORE explosions happens. Then we see Caitlyn looking Hexgate schematics holding piece of the bomb and focusing on the duct vents and smiling knowingly. And finally, last scene is airship going over the sea with Jinx end graffiti. Why this is important? Well because in
S1E1: Powder looks at EXACT same airship saying "One day I'm gonna ride in one of those things".
Now, producer Christian Linke during interview with Necrit confirmed that they are working on next story, looking into Demacia, Noxus and Ionia. With ship going over the sea and by comparing it with the map, ship is almost 99% certainly going towards Ionia.
Bro you calling it milk is making me die laughing
The way I interested the end of episode 7, Powder is holding onto those crystals specifically because she doesn’t ever want them used.
Very nice 👍
FUN FACT, the dance between Powder and Ekko is 4 frames per second. Ekko's limit for time travel is 4 seconds
We really just focused on this group for this series
still feel like we could've had 3 seasons with this 'group' idk, it's the logistics that confuses me, not the implication of more lands/characters
Episodes 7 and 9 the metaphorical and literal beach episodes :)
Maddie’s a queen. Zero character development, just pissing people off in every scene she’s in. Very cvnty of her 💅
Cool little character arc that goes overlooked is Huck in S1 E1 he's a nerdy sales man who is saved by Vander, later on he's a shimmer junkie and sells Vi and Cait out to Silco in S1 E6 then in S2 E2 he tries to rob Victor and becomes the first member of The Church of the Glorious Evolved He then appears as the greeter and second in command in S2 E5 and finally if you look at the pendant and shoulder pad he wears in S2 E5 and the ones on the robot we see attack Jayce and Mel in S2 E8 you'll notice that he becomes the first robot.
That wierd crow was Swain. He made a pact with a demon of secrets Raum and now he has those crows that he can use those crows to spy on people
"What are we doing? a Raffle?" that cracked me open XD
BILL!!!! if ur interested u should totally watch epic the musical!!
I feel like it would be SO FUN to react/watch something with bill he matches the energy of what’s happening perfectly ☺️😂
Ps you should check out ‘rainbow frog biscuits’ they’re a musician I think you’d love
Why did he shoot Viktor in the chest? Well when you pull out, you only have so long before you shoot, and Jayce couldn't wait long enough to get to Viktor's face. I hope this helps.
