I've had the dbxl-e 2.0 for about 2 months now, here is my personal experience with it and things I've learned. 1) The stock spektrum servo is junk, it broke within 10 mins of the 2nd run. 2) From the very beginning ( everything 100% stock) the motor and batteries were overheating and 4 batteries puffed. Come to find out the spektrum esc's LVC was at the low setting even tho the beeps indicated a medium setting. The esc is getting replaced with a hobbywing ezrun max 5 and the motor is being replaced with a leopard 58113 1050kv. 3) Where I live no hobby shops carry any parts for this and down time is long because of the wait times for parts to arrive through the mail when you break something and you will break something. 4) To really have fun with an rc this big and heavy, you need a lot of room to maneuver and have to stop. 5) Getting hit with this even at a slow speed hurts (ask me how I know lol). 6) The wing is very stiff and cracks very easy ( read as getting destroyed) I replaced mine with an arrma kraton 8s wing. 7) The stock tires were fine until I put a 17t pinion on it and then a blow out. Replaced with the pro-line badlands mx43's. Painted the gray rings orange, looks great if I say so myself and I do. 8)The rubber boots that are on the shafts on mine don't last long without tearing and a set of replacements are $25. 9) Make sure you go through every screw and set screw that goes into metal gets blue Loctite or they can and will back out. Nothing else I can think of right now, just keep an eye on the screws and set screws and enjoy, she is a blast to drive.
thanks for the heads up.. i have hit every screw before turning it on.. just installled 20 mill wt diff fluid, got my dx5c radio, and have installed my 18t pinion. so far so good. i tried to run it in front of my house, its to damn big and to fast for my street. i ordered a game changer fan for it as well. ima run it like this until something breaks lol..vid coming soon. also my outcast 8s just got a makeover. xlx2 and 800kv with 42t/39s gearing. i will show that on my channel as well.. just getting all my cars dialed in and exposing them on my channel which is something totally different from my kicks. thanks for watching..
@@MrMeDos Yea I've added 20 mil wt diff fluid also but unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to run it as I am awaiting parts from a crash. Hit a freaking fence post and took off the left rear wheel and everything that was attached to it. Luckily the damage wasn't as bad as it 1st looked. Waiting is a b---h. Make sure you Loctite the set screw for the pin on both front axles where they go into the wheel hub. Yea I upgraded my transmitter to the dx5 rugged orange, Yes I was color matching lol. If interested I'll keep you updated as the esc and motor get installed. But no telling when the motor will be here as no one that I could find in the USA had it. Ordered it from alibaba, so anywhere from a week to infinite to get here.
@@Blueknight1960 thanks for watching, I will mos def double check the screws, because that happened to me on my team corally punisher the grub screw came off my 2nd run and i thought i broke something. im still trying to get use to the new remote and all the settings. Still need to figure out how do I know my throttle is at 100%.. like how you can flip between 50/75/100 on the original remote.. i think i have my throttle turned down because its maxing out at 40 with the 18t pinion. So i got some figuring out to do.. also ordered a game changer fan, for temp control..
@@MrMeDos Yea you should be getting over 50 mph with that 18t pinion or at least close to it. Read the transmitter manual, it should tell you how to set the throttle. But if you're like me, you have to try and figure it out before deciding the manual is the way to go lol. Some of my parts came in today so I'm off to work on mine. Have a good day.
13t and stock cant whellie i have all stock but 18T and no whellie too:) but on 18T need more brakes now i have 75% and i think still not strong but i cant stress it much:) dbxl 2.0 is the beast in every ways these duratrax looks good now im run on PL MX43 and i must say best tires ever

That 18 tooth will make it scary fast!!!! Close to 60 mph I run the exact same setup with the same tires the car will do a standing Willie with it being stock and that 18 tooth crazy
im up to 19t pinion and 46t spur gear on the center diff.. i upgraded to the 800kv castle xlx2 esc too, its faster for sure.. love this rig.. i will upload a vid soon of me running with new setup.
I like those tires man. I just bought this buggy last week. I'm gonna order an 18 tooth pinion and tires also. Also want to get aluminum brace and a better spektrum radio. Love this truck!
Good choice! you will enjoy it for sure.. just watch the wear on your front turnbuckles, depending on the offset of the wheels, it may rub.. duratrax fit perfect and powerhobby wheels. everything else you will have to check.. enjoy
bruh thats hard.. i like them for different reasons. kraton so easy to customize and is faster, but the dbxle is bigger, like a train and is really fun to run. if both were stock, probably dbxl-e.
Maaaan my 10 year old daughter and I was running ours in the grass. Bro she ran in front of it and tried to jump. It took her out. 😂. No injuries tho... I’m sure that if she didn’t jump it would have hurt her instead of clipping her.

Im at 19T pinion now. With 46T diff spur.. but i no longer have stock electronics. Xlx2 800kv combo now. Stock esc amps kept shorting power and melting solder on batteries. So i upgraded. can take a 20t pinion now but im good at 19...
i havent maxed it out yet on WOT dont have the field for it but on 75% throttle i got north of 56-58mph.. i know i can get 70 -75 out of it easy with enough room. short distant it just wheelies if you try WOT to soon.
I can't believe you think that buggy is 'loud'. Your's is whisper quiet, compared to mine, and nobody seems to want to tell me how to make mine quiet. I would also like someone to yell me why my light-bar smokes and smells like it's burning, even though none of the LED'S have stopped working. I swear, I'm going to end up taping a flashlight to the roof, instead of using that light-bar.
hahhhhahahaha.. the tires are louder on the road than the stock is what i meant.. the light bar comment is funny man..maybe something is heating the plastic, idk, hell as long as its working, run it.. but keep your flashlight on standby.. lol
well how about you wire the esc diffrently and put the ESC on 6Volt instead of the 8.4Volt from factory. I dont know why they did that but that helps. They used an extention cable on the esc which is not made for 20ampere and its just to long.

hey, i dont remember but i know I had to drill the hub they were for a xmaxx 24 mm and i just drilled the hub to fit arrma 24mm hex

18 pinion is going to be the max you can get with good temperatures and speed with no fans or major changes
