When you upgrade the esc, make sure you get batteries that can handle the load. I've got the max 5, leopard 58113 870kv motor and the batteries are 8000mah and 9000mah 100c and I still get voltage drop at full throttle. I plan on getting some 120c+ rated batteries to help with the voltage drop.
@@GreatLakesRC I have a pair of zeee 9000mah 100c 4s and 2 pair of the powerhobby 8000mah 4s 100c , while they are good batteries, a more powerful system ( at least mine anyway ) needs more c rating.

They are from discount ramps .com Sometimes they have them in stock but it's rare. I would recommend either building your own or looking at freshpark 👍
how's it been for you? ihave the exact same setup, all stock with a 18t pinion, any issues with your batteries getting too hot? mine get to about 115 degrees and im a bit concerened, was thinking about getting a 16t instead, what do you think? or will it be fine with the 18t? i love the speed and power, PLENTY fast for me.
I ended up completely changing the power system. I wanted to push it faster 😜 If your gonna stay stock I would drop down to a 16t. I was getting some hesitation when I punched it from a dead stop. Heat was actually fine, I was very surprised. The stock motor is really efficient!
@@GreatLakesRC right on, yeah watching your other vids now, seeing you got the castle XLX from your kraton in there and put the firma in the kraton, great vids, thanks for sharing, ill get a 16t just to be safe, crazy how the castle ESC you can wheely yours with ease compared to stock. anything else i should know or do? mines the red one too, love it.
@@ronotardo Just change the oils out when you can. The stock center diff fluid needs to be thickened up. It was letting too much power go to the front on mine. I went with half one mill and half silicone earplugs. I am testing and tuning a new power system right now with a Max5. Hopefully I will be able to make a video on it soon 👍 Appreciate the support!
Awesome Ramp session and pavement rips with that Big Beast Aaron. Handles quite nice on flat ground. Bad cogging on hard pulls there. She gonna be Fun on Big system Bro. Does she need to be widen? Seems to have a great stance oob. Great first bash brother.

I'm really trying to get the most out of stock though 👌I have the MMX8S going in but that still might not be enough, probably will end up with a Max5 💪
Yeah the rear wheels look seriously sloppy, almost looked like 4ws at times😬 And I agree with you on changing out the esc, just not enough amps for the whole rig. It jumps nice and smooth though👌
Thanks man! I have a pretty bad wobble in one of the tires and after this video I checked the camber and it was still way out 🤣 Hopefully the next run with everything upgraded it won't be so loose in the rear 👍
Yes, I have a bunch of stuff planned for it. My MMX8S is going in, 1" wheel extenders and aluminum braces for now. I may have to go up to a Max5 though. We will see 😀

Great run! That thing is a beast. 18T is insane. I went up to 16T, most I can handle😊 but I'm running in less traction areas.
