Thanks so much for covering this, I actually tried learning this a while back and stopped cause I didn't have tabs '^^ Really appreciate your content, thank you again!
Thank you so much for covering this! I was always looking for a tab for this, and you managed to gift us with this easy to follow and play version! The day that this is taken down for ANY reason (Hopefully it never comes to that), will be a sad day for any bass players alike!
That was amazing! Always loved this song, the melodies, the groove. So good. Gonna have to learn this one! Appreciate what you do here! It's inspiring.
I hear guitar players say this a lot: "Bass is so easy. You only have 4 strings and you only play 1 note at a time." Well, I have been playing guitar for about 18 years and bass for about 16, and I think that those guitar players are either ignorant because they have never tried bass, or jealous because they can't groove as easily as a bass player makes it look. In my my opinion, bass is definitely harder. For example, it took me about 2 months of practicing almost every day just to get all my fingers to hit the strings somewhat evenly on a bass, while after 2 months on guitar, I was playing rhythm along with Disturbed songs.
Hey CoverSolutions, I haven’t heard the main theme of Monsters Inc in ages but I can’t wait to watch this video anyway:) if you ever get a chance, you should check out the bassline: Ebin - Sublime. It’s pretty catchy!
Oh how long I've been waiting for it! Thank you, quick question, does this way of playing bass have a name? I would like to understand how it is composed and the logic behind it, thank you!
it's called waling bass, at least in most of the song. It's mainly used in jazz. Walking bass is improvised in most cases, going around the chords of each bar using different approaches, like passing notes and arpeggios. It is quite complex of a technique.
Hermano una maquina...una vez intente transcribir ese tema en la afinacion standar jsjs me costo mas que la mierda cuando era bajista principiante...temazo
Why should I tune down a half-step? Won't that make me sound it if tune with the record? The way the tabs are made it seems to match what I would expect of a standard tuned bass.
Hey man I really like your videos, I learned most of my songs from you! Could you play "start the healing" by Korn? I really want to learn some new Korn songs.
This is actually way harder than I thought it would be
yeah, walking bass is some serious business
yeah one of the few songs where i had to slow it down a bit
Not necessarily tough, just takes longer to practice. It’s really just all about getting the speed.
You have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to make accurate tabs of this.
You're amazing
