    Wow, did those sanitation workers just bow to the train as it was coming into Tokyo terminal station 1:19:56? There was even one worker who stopped dead in his tracks with what he was doing and just bowed to the incoming train. That is very impressive! No wonder the Japanese kick the world's ass at running train systems. Such incredible attention to detail, and such respect...

      Yes. I got to experience that myself last year and this year. Japanese respect towards others is unmatched in the world.

    I am surprised so many rail lines have English language announcements on trains. 🐨🇦🇺

      In Japan, the number of foreign residents and travelers who are not native to Japanese has increased.

    Was this filmed with a telephoto lens? Just that the trains seem slow, the curves so tight and the gradients rather steep. Gives a bit of an unreal view.

    What kinda speed do these get up to? It’s not very ‘rapid’ to say they call it a rapid service!

    • @or2kr
      @or2kr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The nation wide speed limit for the narrow gauge tracks is 130 km/h, but the way the track is laid mostly limits the viability of higher speeds, sometimes there isn't room for standard gauge like the Shinkansen use

      Yes, this train is delayed under the influence of other trains.

      Really?! This train was delayed?!! Because - although I did watch this trip at 2x speed - I was about to marvel how the train never got held back by a danger signal.

    • @misahohimeima1981

      @@trainrover Danger signals in japan are weird, the don't always stop the train, a double red indicates that trains MUST brake before signal but one red means the train can pass at 15 km/h or lower but the driver MUST have a 200 meter sighting distance ahead of them.
