- Hello.
Thanks for joining me.
An opportunity to share your wonderful photographs and to explain the latest changes to the bike.
We are going to The Duchy of Cornwall for a week but what does Mrs S T say when I suggest taking the bike?
Can you guess?
Apologies for the less than perfect sound quality trust me when I say it's more frustrating for me than it is for you.
It's a good job I don't have any hair to pull out!

I put the cat back on my Classic 350, decat far too noisy for my liking. I’ve left on the Hitchcock’s air filter cover and that’s all I intend to do. It’s a wonderful gentle bike that doesn’t need all the mods. But that’s just me
John, it's taken a bit of experimenting but that's me too.

Decat sounds good when you don't have the huge silencer on. Try it. I've left my classic decat and no silencer for most the time I've had it now.
@@scannaunderscore1 what no silencer at all? I can't imagine how noisy that would be!
Ride safe mate and thanks for commenting.👍
@@shottostravels it's very nice sir, you should try it
Remember Mate; Happy wife-happy life!! 😅
Good advice I'm sure.🤔
Ride safe mate👍
Thanks Keith. And thanks for showing my pic too 👍. That reversing light eh? It makes you go 😳 doesn't it? I think he knew you were there but a similar thing happened to TAYM on his SV and he was a bit unlucky 😔
A pleasure, I'm sure he'd seen me, it wasn't even me who beeped the horn.

My little Classic has now got about 3,200 miles on it, completely standard, no mods apart from heel/toe shifter and I regularly get 112 m.p.g. That is topping the tank, running it for about 500 miles and topping it again, keeping record of the two top up amounts and any in between.
Wow Dave, I know they are economical but you must weigh about 4 stone and never exceed 20 mph!😉
Ride safe mate 👍
Enjoy Cornwall
Really enjoy your rides and travels
Thankyou for supporting my humble efforts

Hi
Have a good holiday
Looking in your garage there's easily room for two bikes 🤣👍
Indeed there is, and there has been on numerous occasions.
Won't be long.👍
Ay up Shotto, I feel your pain mate. I had the brilliant idea of buying a trailer so I could take the Himalayan with us behind the campervan on trips away - no chance, not a snowball's chance in hell!
Anyway it was good to see Kingsley (where my daughter lived until recently), Froghall (where I started my working life - Bolton's), Ipstones ( where I too have to fight with the traffic!) and Leek (where I originate from, and used to live opposite the garage you filled up at)
My brother in law (Cheadle lad) put me on to your channel, so I'll be doing some catching up. Got a few photos for you too, so enjoy Cornwall and stay safe.
(call for a brew sometime, I'm at Warslow these days) 👍
Thank you Martin, wonderful.
I too used to work at Bolton's.
Seems like a lifetime ago.
Great times, worked shifts, days and nights.
Seems like a galaxy away now.
Had some great fun looking back.
I too thought about a bike behind our campervan a few years ago but although the van had a towbar never quite did it.🤔
Don't know why.
You'll know all the places I go riding then.
I come through Warslow quote a lot, that's where the Greyhound is, where he brews his own beer.
"Thor" from memory, good pint.
Small world eh.
Ride safe mate👍
Just realized you have a channel too, just subbed, 👍
Well I'm finding it interesting watching your 'back catalogue' watching my patch through someone else's eyes.
Fully retired now, so more freedom to get out exploring.
Sad to see nowt left of Bolton's though.
Thanks for subbing btw. 👍
Keep the 350 it will not let you down
Good advice I'm sure.
Ride safe mate 👍
Thanks for this video. I will send a picture of my 350. Maybe put on a sidecar for the wife, ha ha. Have a nice holliday.
Please do, photographed somewhere nice!
Ride safe mate👍
Enjoy the channel, hope your having a good break
Thanks mate.

Thankyou, I wish me bike was here🤔
Hello again Shotto - Happy Holidays to you and Family.
Thanks Mate.
I Wish I had my bike down here.

Enjoy your vacation, As the bee keeper says, you got room for two bikes!
I have haven't I.🤔

Agreed. But she has said I can go somewhere on my own soon.

My Signals Classic is now run in, and I've fitted a DNA filter, cover, and decat pipe. The bike sounds a bit more 'growlier' as Mrs T describes it, but not obnoxiously loud. I find the 350 engine likes a few revs, and the mods make it feel a bit more lively. Great fun at legal speeds 😀
Thanks for your thoughts.
Glad it's all working for you.

How many of us have common sense when it comes to bikes, if you want to make a real difference to the flexibility and torque of your 350 put a fuel x lite optimiser on it , my meteor is a different animal since i fitted mine
Thanks for commenting.👍
My missus has refused to go on any of my bikes in 31 years of marriage and 2 years of courting.
So now I do 2-3 short tours with camping gear on me own.
Did away with the DNA have kept the CAT but fitted a Punjab short silencer which makes a deeper noise but but not excessive.
Only thing Im toying with is the fuelxlite as the loss of back pressure does make it pop and bang on over run which reading the lite stops..
My fuel gauge is rather in accurate and when on low warning it only takes 12 quid to fill up.
Sounds like a compromise has been reached.
Excellent.
My head says camping but I fear I don't bend like I used to and it might be a step too far.
Thanks for sharing your info.
Ride safe mate 👍
You must bring a bike to Cornwall sometime, there's some great roads down here.
Thanks John. It would be wonderful.
Ride Safe mate 👍
Have a great trip! Perhaps we will see some pics. 😉
Funny you should say that,🤔 shame I haven't got my bike👍
@@shottostravels A selfie in front of Durdle Door would suffice. 🙃
@lancerbiker5263 Durdle door I think is in Dorset some way away.
My daughter asked me what it was like where we were as she was thinking of coming down so I did her a small vlog and what's apped it to her. I think I'll pop it on here, maybe tomorrow if anyone's interested. Ok I'll do it now?!
Ride safe mate.
My Hunter is doing g 98+ to the gallon at nearly 1500 miles. No changes to filter or exhaust. Enjoy Cornwall!
Thanks mate.
I just haven't a clue what mines doing Mpg wise, it's so frugal and I don't keep tabs on it because it is so irrelevant.
But it's great not to have to worry about fuel consumption.
Ride safe mate 👍
I think you need to get a more agreeable wife: they are out there. Love the videos!
Thankyou. I will show her this comment. It might make her think about the thin ice she is on.

Did your wife use the Norman Tebbit expression "on your bike" when you suggested taking your bike to Cornwall? 🤣
Hope that you have a great holiday and the weather is good for you. At least by telling us about your experiences with the de-cat and filter etc you've saved us some cash if we don't now go down that path. Not sure yet what I will do once mine is run in.
It's all part of the fun, the ownership experience mate.
Norman Tebbit, Now that's a blast from the past, I can see him now.
If you check properly I think your getting more than 75 mpg, last time I filled up I put in nine litres and did 212 miles, so over 100mpg. As the speedo reads high maybe the mpg is reading high too so it could be getting less mpg but it still very good and this is riding it without trying to get good mileage.
I think you're correct. I think it's so frugral it's not any concern.
Ride safe mate👍
I would agree ...I'm getting between 95 and 100mpg
I know what you mean the induction noise really got on my nerves , I have tuned & built many bikes , that sound is fine if you’re doing 0 to 60 in less seconds so what I did was to expand the original inlet cover so the it isn’t really noticeable from the outside with the aide of hot air gun & a wooden round handle that was larger inlet & would fit into the inlet after heating from the inside . Do this gently being careful not to over heat the plastic , I like your posts 👍
Wonderful, thanks for sharing.
Ride safe mate 👍
What you need to do is keep the 350 then buy something else, everyone ive seen and some have spoken to regrets getting rid of the 350.....?????
Thanks mate, Sound advice I'm sure. I agree, that's the path to take. Just got to get the funds in place👍
@@shottostravels love your videos, non pretentious, is as it is.... you don't pretend to be someone doing mega production's, a nice relaxing video every time 🇬🇧🍻
How very dare you!
This is a mega production!🤔
Well it's the best my peanut sized brain can manage anyway!😉
Thanks for your support mate👍
Really appreciate your comments
