- Japan travel vlog number 2 :) What to eat in Tokyo and the best things to do in Tokyo 2023! I hope my FULL Tokyo itinerary helps you see what life is like in Japan. This is my Tokyo travel guide and things to do in Japan. I left out a couple more things because I left for Osaka, but I'll be back in Tokyo for a few more days and will update via TH-cam shorts or reals. Please enjoy this Japan travel vlog as I share what I ate at the Tsukiji fish market, Gyukatsu Ichi Ni San, and the Tokyo street go-karts! Since this is my first time in Japan, I did A LOT of research on the best things to do in Japan and what you must eat in Japan.

Maya! I’ve been following you for a while now and I’ve also wanted to visit Japan for like 15 years…out of all of the videos I’ve seen people do of Japan NOBODY has ever talked about there being no soap in public restrooms 😂😂😂 I feel like that is a very important tip for me anyway…thank!!

I love Japan, I love the Japanese language and Japanese culture. I love everything about it basically haha, so my guess is that that is the reason why yout travel vlog made it into my TH-cam suggestions! I'm happy it did.
I had no idea some of the places you mentioned even existed and that they are so HUGE! (For example the Uniqlo store in Ginza. How cool!) and I added the Itoya store to my bucket list!
I just wanted to say that this is an all around awesome travel vlog, I genuinely enjoyed it!

Do not recommend go-karting because the Japanese hate it when tourists do it. You'll receive death glares everywhere, altho I guess Americans don't care about other people's discomfort. It's one of the busiest cities in the world, I don't even understand why the city let's that company do it. A lot of traffic and a lot of accidents happened. Do. Not. Go. Kart
Awwww :( that makes sense - we saw a lot of Japanese locals getting off work and smiling and waving at us! We made sure to follow our tour guide and not cause any trouble 😢

It’s a dream of mine to visit Japan. They have such a beautiful culture! How much Japanese should you learn before making the trip? & do many people speak English in Tokyo?
I didn’t get a chance to learn much other than “where is the restroom” and “excuse me” :’) but in Tokyo a lot more people understood English than in the smaller cities!

It was fine!! Lots of hand motions and pointing :) Papago (I used this app to take a photo of menus and it’ll translate the photo if they dont have an english menu) but it was fine!

That go kart info is handy although not sure if they'll have it when I go in November. How does the Rail Passes work? I see you can purchase them online 7,14, and 21 days but do they pretty much work everywhere or is it limited? Thanks for the video.

What was the temperature when you visited Tokyo?
Hi, quick question - I will be going to Japan next week and was wondering how do you make reservations at restaurants? Via website, phone call, etc? (I don't speak Japanese at all)
Oooo sometimes I would google the restaurant name and translate the page in English through google chrome and would reserve if it was available. Japan used tablelog as their “Yelp” and sometimes you can reserve. Sometimes you can pay to reserve but I didn’t do that!
