I really love that you didn't count the dress as a loss, you counted it as a learning experience. In my nearly 15 years of homemaking, I've learned that THAT mindset is the way to go with nearly everything. ❤
Hi Andrea, I just ran across a video where you were with your other two sisters. I know about Lisa and Laura but I did not know about you. I am a 76-year-old grandmother and believe it or not I really enjoy your videos and can more identify with your videos then I can with your sisters and their large families. Although I do enjoy watching them too. Also you’re kind of inspiring me to start sewing again. When my two girls were young I made all their clothes and all their dancing recital costumes. I just kind of taught myself to sew with the help of a friend who is very good at sewiing when I had questions. When I retired a friend and I started going to quilting classes but I noticed I did not enjoy that as much as sewing garments. At that time my only grandchild was about 15 or 16 so I would let her pick out patterns and fabric and I would make things for her. The first pattern she picked out was so hard because it had fringe that you had to make yourself by picking through the fabric with a pin it also had a lined bodice and an invisible zipper and button holes. I had not done any of these before but it turned out so cute. Anyway just wanted to tell you that I have subscribed and I enjoy your channel. Love in Christ
Morning Andrea....I've been a home maker for a long time and in that process I have discovered by trial-and-error mostly that in baking any milk will interchange successfully with cow's milk. Most folks don't notice a change in flavour or texture, especially in things like banana bread, corn bread or biscuits. (Coconut milk is super in pancakes instead of cow's milk). As far as sugar I've been able to cut sugar by 50% in most baking. Any more than 50% reduction can cause setting issues in some things like pies. It is not safe to mess with sugar ratios in things like pickles/relishes though. Hope this comment is helpful. I enjoy your channel and am subscribed to all three sisters.
ok... Can some answer a question for me? Is this Lady related to the Farmhouse On Boone and Our Oily House ladies? She looks and sounds just like them LOL
I loved sowing in my younger years, but when my oldest daughter started sowing I stopped. I’m redecorating this winter and want to put a sowing station in the room with a dining room table so we can spread out making more clothes. She loves making her own clothes and costumes. 😊
I found you from watching your video with your sisters, which I so enjoyed!!! So I came right over to subscribe to you and enjoyed you sewing your adorable dress !!!!
The dress really came out super cute! At least you found A good pattern you like and learned what material not to use. Like you said, not a complete loss but good learning experience. And the bread looked so yummy! Thanks for sharing😊
Great Job with your Vlogging I will add to the peanut gallery, your voice is so familiar, the tone and cadence of speech. About that, I ran into some old farmers in my Mothers home town in Chadbourn, NC. This was 2021. These men were young boys when they knew my Mom and my Grandmother! They told me all I had to do was talk and they would know I was my Grandmothers, granddaughter! Both Mom and my Grandmother have passed away, Mom in 2017 and Grandmother in 1990 ish. I have lived in New Hampshire since 1983, and to hear that I speak like them both touched my heart. These old men were in their 90’s and still recognized a “voice, cadence of speech” from their young childhood. Add that grandma, mom and myself all share the same name of Nellie Jean, and I have inherited a small parcel of the Dairy Farm of my grandmothers on Nellie Miller Rd.
I agree with your comments on how long it takes to sew a garment! My granddaughter wanted to sew a simple pool bag for this summer. Three hours later we finished a bag😅. I'm enjoying your content. Thank you!
I love your sisters channel Farmhouse on Boone and was excited when I learned y’all are sisters. I have super enjoyed finding your channel and have been binge watching. I have been wanting to sew more and your videos help. How do you print out those patterns on big paper like that? I guess they are from the sewing community you mentioned. Seamwork. Thank you
New subscriber here. Oh my what memories this brought back for me. I am 54 and my mom sewed almost all of my clothes growing up and we had a fridge like that except it was turquoise blue. I miss the glass and metal shelves...lasted forever. You are so dear and calming. Love all the color too. Blessings
Oh i loved your dress! I loved all the lessons you learned along the way and your attitude of going slow and your new awareness of just how much effort, energy and fabric does go in to clothes, and like you said "even if its not your own energy". Light bulb moments captured. Thanks for sharing your growth with us.
I’m a long time fan of your sis, saw your sister talk episode, so fun to see your channel! Love the creativity and color. I’ve been frustrated with today’s fashion and making my own clothes sounds amazing! Maybe next bday I’ll get a sewing machine ❤
How did I not know you were here? It’s the middle of the night and you popped into my feed. I kept listening and squinting because I thought I was hearing Lisa! 😂 Love what you did to the dress! Im here to stay!
I saw you with Lisa and Laura doing the Q&A. Finally, showed up on my feed.. so I subscribed.. Can't wait to see your content.. Thanks Lisa and Laura for sharing your sister..
Learned to sew when I was 12 and it has been a lifelong valuable skill. Glad you are learning. Love your table. How handy for cutting out patterns. Also watched you and your sisters’ podcast. All of you are remarkable young women. 💜
I managed to get my sewing machine and serger cleaned up! Your inspirational videos motivated me to do it. I even shared your TH-cam channel on our latest vlog. I hope that's okay. If not, please let me know, and I'll remove it from the description. We just like to share channels that bring us joy.❤😊
I am a self taught sewist and have gone from clothes to quilts. I have made over 25 quilts since 2006. Most are lap/twin size, but I have made 7 queen size. I noticed you used a serger and it seemed to save a lot of time with facings, what is the brand & model of your serger? Love your cooking too! Keep up the good work.
HAPPY TUESDAY Andrea and family. Thanks for sharing all the things. Way to learn new things. We live in Pittsburgh PA and I will share your videos TO THE BURGH;STTB. I have been subscribed to Lisa's and Laura's channel's for a very long time. Looking forward to watching previous and new videos. Enjoy your day.
Just found (and subscribed to) your channel bc of the interview you did with your sisters on Lisa's channel. Congrats on becoming a new mom...best job in the world! Excited to follow your channel! ❤
I have followed Lisa for years and Laura for a short time. I just subscribed to you and plan on ordering meat from Ashley. Count me in as a fan of your whole family 😂
That dress looks so fun and cute on you! I'm sorry that fabric was a fail. I would have gone for it too with the linen look and the beautiful color and pattern.
I know everyone is commenting this, lol. I never knew you had a channel. Ive watched your sister Lisa for a while, but im in a more similar life phase as you. With a similar looking daugher and husband. Which is fun to see. Best wishes to you and your family. :)
Great job on the dress and your attitude about the learning you gained is beautiful ❤ That blueberry, lemon bread would be delicious. Enjoy. Thank you for sharing ❤😊
Your lemon blueberry bread looked so delicious! Yeah, I kinda wondered about the 9 volt batteries!! Just figured they were weighing down the pattern and material!! See you on your next video! 💐🦋
Hi, I'm carol from Alabama. I'm new. I just watched Lisa's podcast with you and Laura. I love them and have watched them a long time. So excited to learn about your channel. I loved this video. The dress is so cute and you're right lots of color in your home. I love it! Can't wait till next week. I'll be binge watching.
At the end of the video when you placed the batter on the parchment paper and then placed it in the loaf pan I had an ‘aha’ moment. I have always tried lining my loaf pan first with the parchment paper, your method looks like a much better alternative. 🙂
I absolutely love watching your channel. You are inspirational and your voice is so similar to both your sisters that I have to really think of which one I am watching. 😂😂. I think it is so funny that you have a black Kitchen Aid. The sister of color and it’s black. I giggled when I saw that. 💕💕
Andrea, couple of questions if you don't mind. 1 Did your pattern come in the mail that large, it looks different from ones that I have used??? 2 Did you use the paper while baking instead of spraying or greasing ? Also, your dress came out adorable. I love it. Thanks so much. Going to start from the beginning and binge. Kathleen.
It's a PDF pattern that I had printed at a local print shop! and yes, i used it instead of. to me it's just easier to use parchment. :) thanks so much!
I’m so glad I found your channel and so sorry the dress wasn’t a success. One thing I noticed is that the bodice and skirt weren’t cut on the straight grain…could that be a factor? I love the fabric you chose. I was considering looking for it but after you noted the hole, I guess I’ll pass. 😍
My doctor told me that an adult should have three (appropriate sized portions), meals, and three healthy small snacks per day... when you only eat one meal per day, your body doesn't have enough proper fuel to function in all the ways it needs to through a full 24 hours. So he said if the meals are spread out and proper portions, then you're getting fuel all day, and your body is regulating much better! 😊
You sound so much like your sister! (Lisa).
Yes, i think so, too! But she looks more like Laura.😊
And she looks alot like Laura, and these sisters are beautiful! I am so fortunate to have found them on you tube!
Yes, she does. And she looks so much from Laura. I started watching since their latest Podcast.
Haha we get that a lot here! :)
it's so crazy how she's such a mix
of both of them w her own flair in voice, way of speaking, looks and housekeeping ! i wish i had a sister !
I really love that you didn't count the dress as a loss, you counted it as a learning experience. In my nearly 15 years of homemaking, I've learned that THAT mindset is the way to go with nearly everything. ❤
ahh well thank you! i will remember to carry it over to other homemaking lessons.

I am a 78 year old grandmother!! ❤ hugs from Michigan!
Wow! I'm impressed! Thanks for following along! :)
Sometimes it helps if you wash the fabric before you sew with it 👌

Aww what special memories! Thank you so much!!
It makes you think, how much longer it took when people sewed things by hand, especially lace.

Love your sewing room!
Thank you!
I love the concept of Seamwork! Have you ever ordered fabric from one of the companies on the website?
Yes! Ordered from I See fabric last week!
Loving your channel! What is the name of the paint color you used on your kitchen cabinets? It is beautiful and so bright and fun!
Frolic by Sherwin Williams :)
Great video.
Thanks!
I love your channel
You are welcome.
Hey 🙂 what can I use to replace sour cream in this recipe? Like you, I cannot eat dairy (and also gluten) and I am curious about this solution 🤔
Andrea, couple of questions if you don't mind. 1 Did your pattern come in the mail that large, it looks different from ones that I have used??? 2 Did you use the paper while baking instead of spraying or greasing ? @@Oursweetsunnydays Yes!!. So much easier to use. I love that ❤
❤❤❤
Can't you put an appliqué over that hole? Like an ice cream cone or something else summery?
It's right on the collar 😭 so I don't think so!
@@Oursweetsunnydays how about a ladybug?
I’m so glad I found your channel and so sorry the dress wasn’t a success. One thing I noticed is that the bodice and skirt weren’t cut on the straight grain…could that be a factor? I love the fabric you chose. I was considering looking for it but after you noted the hole, I guess I’ll pass. 😍
Oooo maybe so! Like I said, still trying to learn about fabric! :)
@@OursweetsunnydaysI love how it looked on you. That is my style of summer dress also. 🥰
While making the skillet recipe you had a metal lid with a clock or thermometer, what was that?
I see what you're talking about but I think it was reflection and condensation underneath the lid.
i think the video just made it look that way! it's just a regular lid. :)
Hi Andrea, brand new sub. Saw you with your sisters and hopped on over to the sub button. Now to watch.
Awesome! Thank you!
💖💖💖💖💖
Love your skirt
thank you!
Are you related to farm on Boone and Laura?
Sisters! :)
I don't understand hot lunches. Why not just a simple sandwich? I only eat 1 meal plus two snacks per day, don't understand needing such a big lunch.
My doctor told me that an adult should have three (appropriate sized portions), meals, and three healthy small snacks per day... when you only eat one meal per day, your body doesn't have enough proper fuel to function in all the ways it needs to through a full 24 hours.
