Yo, Matt. I just got hired as a Senior Recruiter for Tech Sales/Software Sales roles and as an interviewer, I learned a lot from this vlog. Cheers, man! Loved this video. It helps me a lot as well.

I’m now an SDR for a tech e-commerce platform company, and one thing I can say is having a manager who you get along well with and crack jokes is huuge.
The nature of being an sdr can be boring and tedious so this makes a huge difference to your day to day motivation and fulfilment imo

-Not sure about the approach at the personalized video "secret tactic", prior to the 60min interview.
      - what do you add into that personalized video message?
      - is it the "I have 10 prospects that fit your ICP that I'm prepared to cold call. You against me putting my phone on speaker and making these dials interested in any feedback you have to improve my pitch?"
      - do you send both prep email with plan and personalized video prior to 60 min interview?

That's next level video Matt! Impressive. Lots of golden nuggets applicable to any (non SDR) sales jobs and even most interviews, period. Thanks!

Seems like you could apply the same process to an AE role?

Hey Matt I’m currently applying at Qualtrics, in my second interview round as an SDR. I recently sold my service based business and am looking to break into sales, as well I’m in the process of finishing my degree this spring. Every company I’ve applied to has rejected me immediately without an interview, I think it is because I am graduating in the spring, should I wait to accept the role if I get it or wait and apply at more companies when I get closer to finishing school? I would love a remote role that’s my only hesitation. Appreciate any feedback/help!

      A few things…
Most tech sales roles are hybrid; half in the office, half not in the office. Not to say you can’t find a remote role, but it will be tougher.
Most companies who have a job opening are looking to hire NOW. You can’t work or accept an offer now as you are still in college.
I’d wait to apply and interview until I have nothing stopping me from working immediately.
