Just one humble suggestion from someone teaching themselves Japanese but love your lessons: when you give us the chance to make a sentence before you provide the right translation, could you provide the Japanese words we can use? So for example, when you were going over adjectives, many of us don't have the same extensive vocabulary in Japanese, so we don't even know the Japanese translation of the adjectives to begin putting together a sentence. That way, you help with vocabulary as well as the lesson objective. Thank you so much: Miku-san wa subarashii!

Humble disagree. Don't give us the words. Getting stuck without knowing the Japanese word is part of learning Japanese, or any language. You'll remember it more if you rack your brain but can't recall it, than if it's just given to you.

Thank you SO much. I've been taking courses at an evening school since last autumn, but our course has lost too many students over time, so it will not be continued. In order to continue taking Japanese lessons, I now have to switch to an advanced course... which has students that are in their fifth year of learning Japanese...
I am eager to succeed and I'm currently working my way through our book (the new course requires to get the next book), but it doesn't explain much. So this greatly helps me and makes me hopeful I can somehow manage.

The last sentence in the challenge made my head spin a bit. I still don't fully understand つよいひとと, but I'm assuming part of it is where 'someone' comes from, judging from ひと.

    • @alvielle9417
      @alvielle9417 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

VoluXian In that sentence ‘つよい’ is part of こうきしん が つよい which literally means curiosity is strong which is how to say curious.
おもしろくてこうきしんがつよいひと= a funny and curious person/someone who is funny and curious
と after ひと means ‘with’ because in in Japanese you say I want to marry with someone like
      と けっこんしたい = I want to marry

Is there a consensus on what would be considered negative?
Taking your example, what if I liked Japanese to be difficult because of the challenge it provides? In this case something easy might be considered boring, and so that would be negative.

      @kitakazehai ปีที่แล้ว

      3年前のコメントですが、今後これを見るかもしれない人の為にお答えします。
      1の質問
      例文 さわやかな かっこいい すてきな 俺
         かっこいい さわやかな すてきな 俺
         すてきな さわやかな かっこいい 俺
      どれも間違いではありません。順番は関係ないです。
      しかし、実際に使われる場合は、形容詞が原型で並ぶことは少ないです。
      例をあげると、
         すてきで かっこよくて さわやかな 俺
         さわやかで すてきで かっこいい 俺
      このように、最後の名詞にかかる形容詞だけが原型で、それ以外の形容詞は名詞になり、「で」や「くて」の接続詞が付くのが自然な言い方になります。どちらの接続詞を使うかは単語によって違います。
      この例文であげた「すてきな」と「さわやかな」は、実は形容動詞です。
      原形が「い」で終わるのが形容詞で、「だ」や「な」で終わるか置き換えられる「すてきだ」「さわやかだ」と使えるのが、形容動詞です。そして、名詞の直前に使う場合は「な形」が使われます。
      形容詞が連続で使われる場合
      例文 怖い(こわい) 酷い(ひどい) 恐ろしい(おそろしい)映画
      使えなくはないのですが、これは言葉を並べただけな感じがします。
      文章として使うなら、
         こわくて ひどくて おそろしい 映画
      このように、「い」が無くなって「くて」という接続詞が使われます。
      前の例文に使った「かっこいい」は本来は「かっこよい」が正しい表現なので
      「くて」が付く場合は同じように「い」が無くなって「くて」を使うので「かっこよくて」となります。
      名詞の直前には原形が使われます。
      2の質問
      油っこいと油っぽいは同じ意味と考えて問題ないです。
      否定的な意味でよく使われます。どちらも油が多すぎるという意味になります。
      ただし、この「~っぽい」は、いろいろな場面で使われ
      「あの人は、外国人っぽい」 あの人は外国人のように感じる。または、見える。
      「この形は、人間っぽい」 似ている。
      主にこの2つの意味で使われることが多いです。
      なので「油っぽい」は例外的に使われる表現といえます。
