The editing of your videos may take a long time but that is making a lot of difference! Watching your videos is very useful to understand well the Japanese grammar but it's also pleasant, because you have a very positive and nice attitude and when you embody students and foreigners it's quite funny to see, so great job, don't give up! My whole reason for moving here was to learn but I’ve always been consumed with working in English only speaking environments in rural areas. Learning Japanese in japan is difficult! Thank you again!

Hmm... the thing is, I'm a native speaker and I always say "I'm fine, thank you"... 🤔 Maybe "I'm fine, thanks" or "I'm fine, thanks for asking" sometimes. But I'm from the midwest US, so maybe we are just all weird there 🤨 All the same, I get your point, and I've often struggled with this exact point during my years in Japan. So this video is very useful to me. Thanks!
You think you know your stuff, and then Miku-sensei gives a more in-depth explanation. I’d rather learn all my japanese from here 0: I understand many professors think, oh you’ll learn on the go, but I think so many of us don’t have the settings to pick up nuances naturally.
After listening a little I tried typing "tabetainakaikenai" into google translate to see what would happen and it translate it into "I ate the countryside" 🤣🤣 I guess my ears are really bad! Or mabe my brain? ... How did I even get here in the first place? I'm not even trying to learn japanese! 😂😂 I enjoyd the video either way tho! 😁
"I'm fine, thank you", for work, parents-in-law, meetings, people you need to be polite with and can't be honest with. Not rude at all, just box-ticking pleasantries. If a close friend says, "I'm fine, thank you", you can be sure something is wrong.
Really useful. Even though I already know this phrase, due to my wife being Japanese, I have been going to a Japanese language school for over a year now and other students are still using なければなりません, even though we are going into N3 now. I`ve tried to explain multiple times about なきゃ and ないと but even the teachers are insisting we stick with the formal, for JLPT purposes I guess, and have even gone as far as to tell me not to use なきゃ and ないと. I shall be sending this video to some of my fellow students. Maybe they will listen to me now.
Man it's always so frustrating whenever I realize that I've only been learning all of the formal ways of saying things. Ugh. Please keep making useful videos like this, focusing on phrases that are more casual and used day to day.
Me too lmao I always learn the masculine and feminine phrases bc I feel like it wouldn't be too out of character for me to say, use sentences ending with の often
I am used to the masculine sentence ending particles but when 先生 says something is feminine, that's the grammar that gets stuck with me immediately A little clunky, I might need to lean more towards the fem side
Today I cried because I couldn't say はたらかなければなりません without tripping over my tongue. For the life of me, I just can't do it. Thank god you gave me hope I might never have to say it.

she probably meant that she always used it since many children in Japan learn that "I'm fine, thank you" is the only correct answer lmao

教科書が悪いじゃないですが、よく口語を教えて、母語話者だけ全部の意味合いと方言を教えるのができる。関西の方言は面白そうです。
