Oscar was so cute in the basket and while being scolded 🥺😂 Also, your pothos are so beautiful! The leaves are huge! I've never gotten any of mine to grow or stay that huge when not climbing a pole. 😅
Scolded 🤣 he is a good dog. I have never seen a mature neon pothos leaf, so that is my goal this year.

Neon pothos is my favorite pothos! Be grateful that you have a puppy that will grow out of most of his mischief! I'm a dog person with a beloved twelve-year-old cat. Thankfully has no interest in my plants but he sure likes to get into everything else LOL
He is such a good dog so far and definitely grateful to have all of our dogs. Thanks for watching.
I got a neon pothos a couple months ago, such a nice contrast to the rest of the plants. This was a fun video, I've never seen one of those foot candle meters before, good idea!

The light meter really helps you with placement and figuring out the light you get throughout your house at certain times of the day and year.

Pothos are probably my favorite to propagate...super fast and easy.

Informative, thanks. My own plant is now hanging 7 foot of a bookcase to the floor, but sadly lost most of the leaves at the pot end. After watching this, I’m going to cut it right back and propagate to make a nice bushy new plant like yours. They are lovely and easy👍

My Neon is such a slow grower, I tried to prop a couple of cuttings in perlite when it had a couple of longer vines but they rotted. Now I'm waiting for it to grow longer to try again in water. Yours are so beautiful and full.

It's my most difficult plant to take care of. It just keeps getting spots on its leaves and I'm near giving up. 😅
This is one on my wish list. I have my first grand baby due any day now so I've been buying baby gear instead of plants but ill get it soon 😊 the dirty sock is kinda endearing lol

Hello. The plant with the white stem is an aglaonema green papaya and the other is the lipstick plant 'mona lisa'
Pothos, probably the most drama free, easiest to propagate and take care plants!. I have neon, marble, snow, exotica, pearls and jade

500 foot candles and my neon pothos burnt.I would recommend around 300 foot candles.
That is still considered medium light should have been okay.... Was it in direct sunlight at any point?

Great video! My neon pothos has brown spots all over the leaves. It’s quite large, I’m going to cut all the healthy runners and start over! Not sure what happened to it.
Brown spots all over might be a pest issue. Check out the spots/damage on this pothos and it was caused by spider mites.

I recently re-potted my neon pothos and the new leaves it’s growing are much larger but the old ones are still very small
Is this normal? I’d love to know if there’s a way to help them get bigger!
Hey Jeff, I like that you showed your humidity level in your normal living space! I've been trying to get the humidity up by turning it up on the humidity control next to the thermostat. But 36 is about as high as I can get it without getting condensation on the windows. Is that even bad? I'm hesitant to use a humidifier because I'm lazy and don't want to have to use distilled water. I don't have a water softener but the water is pretty hard here in Alberta. Using humidifiers in the past with tap water left us with a powdery gross substance on the walls and everything, yuck! Going back to watch the rest of your video now!
Excessive condensation and high humidity can definitely be a problem in a home with no circulation....leads to mold build up. We have an air exchange system in our home that constantly recirculates the air with fresh air from outside. This definitely keep the humidity indoors lower. All my plants are doing fine. I have my higher humidity loving plants downstairs with two small humidifiers going and that is around 50%....doing fine also.
@@EverythingPlants I thiiink we have the same thing too, with the air circulation and what not. Maybe that explains it! I wish the humidity was better. I tried turning it way up and the highest it got was maybe 39. Do you use distilled water for your humidifiers? I was looking into a humidifier but I don't want to use distilled water -_- ever though I know its recommended.
@@squishbean573 I use the water right from the drinking tap...non filtered. My plants aren't that special 🤣 I do get a bit of build up, but I just wash the containers every once in awhile.....more like once a year lol
What if any problems do you have with fungus Nats?? I don't understand the method of checking the soil for dryness if you only feel the top layer of the soil while the bottom of the pot might be saturated!! Please explain that . Thanks.
In my newer videos I make mention to use a moisture meter, a wood/bamboo skewers or even the weight of the pot to determine soil levels THROUGHOUT the soil....it was lacking in this video

I really love pothos but I like them to look more bushy and not overly long so I always feel guilty cutting off the really long vines and composting them instead of making new plants from them. I don't want a million pothos plants! I do love the jungle you have in your living room!
Trade those cuttings or give them away. I know some people in plant groups are teachers and grow these with their students as a fun project. But they are yours so compost away lol
I have 2 small 4” pots of the neon and they are not happy. The leaves turn yellow and tips browning. Im thinking they need more sun and more frequent watering.
I hope they improve for you. How often are you watering them?

I’ve had a neon pothos for over a year and it hasn’t grown at all. It looks terrible, hence my reason for watching. I’ve tried watering less, watering more, changing location, and giving fertilizer. 😫
Ashley had a neon pothos cutting which I rooted in water and placed on a plank and it never grew..... It was so weird. I have no idea what happened. I dug it up and the roots didn't even grow any further but it wasn't dead
