After being widowed in 2019, selling my 2200 sq ft home and buying and renovating a new 2200 sq ft home, I've decided the minimalist van lifestyle is for me. I put my house on the market and I think I'm about to get an offer (fingers crossed). Amber your videos have inspired me and I learned so much by watching you. Ashlee, you are awesome as well. I love, love, love what you said about fear. After having my entire world flipped upside down in Feb. 2019 when my healthy husband of 35 years died from complications from the flu, less than one month after my Mom died from a brain tumor, I've learned a bit about overcoming adversity and fear. I can't wait to start my own life adventures in a van and maybe I'll be lucky enough to meet you both one day soon. Keep up the great work.

#RVLiving I have always been so intimidated by the 5th wheel campers as a solo female. We had a 5th wheel trailer that we hauled horses years ago, but that was still when I was with my now Ex. Nice interview. Thank you for your service. I solo full time with a 35 foot TT and platinum F350. After 5 years of using a basecamp washer/spin dryer in the shower. I think it’s time to bumping up to a fiver for a dedicated washer and dryer. Keep the rubber on the road and watch your six. Also: check into getting the TSD diesel fuel card. Saving up to 40 cents per gallon in the truck stop lanes within their network.

Wow that’s a beautiful and big rig! I love seeing solo female nomads, and her story was very interesting and inspiring. I’m so envious of her mechanical skills. I’m certain that’s a huge benefit and comfort knowing she can trouble shoot and repair her rig. That’s why I have chosen to stay as simple as possible. I recently saw a female TH-cam nomad that was stuck waiting for parts and had to use a mobile mechanic because her slide was broken. That could get pretty expensive I would guess. Great interview! After doing rescues in a hurricane I can’t imagine much would scare Ashlee! Being in Hurricane Irma in a secure house I can only image the terror of being out and about in that kind of storm. 5th wheels do seem like the most residential of RVs. Safe travels, ladies!

What a great interview!! It is so nice to see this sort of real life interview and how both of you ladies have taken the leap of faith into this life style. As said, with proper planning and going through a preventative maintenance list everyday it does not matter what gender you are this lifestyle can be enjoyed. 1 more year and it is dump the sticks and bricks walking away and into my life long dream. Hopefully see Y'all on the road. Campfire, drink of choice, and some big time story telling could be a lot of fun!! So my question is.... Is there somewhere I can go to learn how to drive a fifth wheel. I think that that is the way I want to go but have never driven one.
It’s really simple because it just becomes an extension of your truck. My two pieces of advice are 1) WIDE TURNS 2) SLOW IS BETTER Take your time! Good luck ❤️❤️

I'm a service connected disabled veteran who wants to save money (just for awhile!), but am worried about trading my Camry in on a van, just in case I don't like it (I'm no spring chicken -- I'm 66 next month!). But I appreciate the educational videos you guys do -- you're really an inspiration to us couch potatoes!!!

Wow that’s a beautiful and big rig! I love seeing solo female nomads, and her story was very interesting and inspiring. I’m so envious of her mechanical skills. I’m certain that’s a huge benefit and comfort knowing she can trouble shoot and repair her rig. That’s why I have chosen to stay as simple as possible. I recently saw a female TH-cam nomad that was stuck waiting for parts and had to use a mobile mechanic because her slide was broken. That could get pretty expensive I would guess. Thanks for another great video. Happy and safe travels 🐶🚐❤️

Great interview! After doing rescues in a hurricane I can’t imagine much would scare Ashlee! Being in Hurricane Irma in a secure house I can only image the terror of being out and about in that kind of storm. 5th wheels do seem like the most residential of RVs. Safe travels, ladies!

I loved this! Great interview. I’ve heard several times that pulling a 5th wheel is much easier & safer than a travel trailer. Ashlee is awesome! Love her story would like to purchase her book. Her rig is great. The bloopers were hilarious 🤣 You guys are too cute☺️ Amber, your laugh is infectious 😊

used to live in cape may, and have been on the base there many times, to receive patients from the small boats and copters, when in the rescue squad. I assume Ashley trained at tracen capemay.

What a great interview!! It is so nice to see this sort of real life interview and how both of you ladies have taken the leap of faith into this life style. As said, with proper planning and going through a preventative maintenance list everyday it does not matter what gender you are this lifestyle can be enjoyed. 1 more year and it is dump the sticks and bricks walking away and into my life long dream. Hopefully see Y'all on the road. Campfire, drink of choice, and some big time story telling could be a lot of fun!! Thank you for your service my Dad retired from the CG years ago and he loved it.....

So my question is.... Is there somewhere I can go to learn how to drive a fifth wheel. I think that that is the way I want to go but have never driven one.
It’s really simple because it just becomes an extension of your truck. My two pieces of advice are 1) WIDE TURNS 2) SLOW IS BETTER

I'm a service connected disabled veteran who wants to save money (just for awhile!), but am worried about trading my Camry in on a van, just in case I don't like it (I'm no spring chicken -- I'm 66 next month!).
