Well, that would fall under the Tesla screen. Because the way it is with the T12, is the max we can go for the screen :( which is pretty decent . But you never know what the future holds, always innovating and being creative. Need to satisfy all tastes and demands.
Keep the factory a/c controls, I think the buttons and knobs for the head unit though should go. Not a “Tesla” screen where everything is removed, that’s a bit too much in my opinion.
Oh man, you're not making this easy Sev, lol. Just when I've thought I've decided on the T10 V3.1, You drop the T12! I think I've watched these videos a twenty times and they both look amazing. You mentioned you're working on getting the bezel for the T12 without the chrome trim and I'd prefer it without that too. I really don't mind my 2023 4Runner being old school in a lot of ways considering it's part of what makes it so reliable. But......these head units and heated steering wheels you've made, make a world of difference updating to 2024 creature comforts.

Looks great! Is there an increase in A/C noise with the angles change of the vents? Does it effect the amount of air coming out? Trying to decide between this and the T10 V3.2. I like how you get the big screen and keep the knobs but not knowing about the air vents is throwing me off.
Well, I’ve always found that the middle part air blowing , even before this radio, was a bit less than the sides . No sound is less , and to be frank, maybe 5% air less ? Since it’s being routed ? But not noticeable . Hope this helps.

Yes the chrome is gone on the black version, but still there in the silver to match the silver . Pictures in the headunit group, link in the description of this video to join. Make sure you answer all questions please. Wires / harness are installed , I mentioned in the end of the video. If you do not want to use the sim and external mic I highly suggest to not install that harness to create room, but I used everything and it’s doable, you just need a lot of patience and another set of hands … 🙌

Well, party mode is just to trick the headunit and totally transfer the music to the tail speakers, you don’t need that anymore, you will control it with the DSP / EQ after headunit swap , as far as camera in mirror, it will be active and still working with the possibility to connect to the headunit as well, so technically you’ll have 2 rear reverse cameras (as if) everything is step by step in the headunit group. A lot of members , like you, have installed and using both , mirror and headunit reverse cam. Sorry I was late to reply, it was a hectic day.

You don’t need to jailbreak, it already is and you can already mirror of an iPhone or Android , but you really don’t need to mirror; you have everything your phone does natively on the headunit itself . So why the lower quality and lag and rely on a phone ? Rather than use the whole potential of these units and use every unit natively : tell me why you want to mirror ? To answer your question, yes you can.

@songdatong5085 not at all, I have set to a certain gain, have in mind I don’t use CarPlay , so it may be 2 different things. I use the headunit natively no CarPlay unless I need a quick connect in an area that is low data coverage. It’s not the greatest but people Hear me and I understand them. I didn’t even install the external mic so I’m using the built in mic. What’s your issue and where was the unit bought from? What’s the order ID for me to check your batch?
So, i keep biting the edge of my thumb, since i was 8, I’m 47 now. Sometimes it goes deep , depends on stress levels and only that thumb. I guess that rectified habits eh?

I myself don’t need to, I’ve done this thousands of times, plus I have a switch on the main battery that I cut feed to the whole truck. I urge everyone else disconnecting the battery when installing. Good point
That’s absolutely not right , never heated never had a single issue with the thousands sold! If you have proof of what you are talking, come forward and advise the order ID. These have heat sinks in the back and in the heat of the desert, middle is Texas, middle of the heat, nothing happens ! Been there done that and we have more than 400 units in Texas already installed . Coming to Cold weather, I live in canada , -40-50 Celsius, 0 issues , so I have no idea what you are talking about, just an fyi . How did you hook up the hazard lights? Mines didn’t come with any adapters

@songdatong5085 not at all, I have set to a certain gain, have in mind I don’t use CarPlay , so it may be 2 different things. I use the headunit natively no CarPlay unless I need a quick connect in an area that is low data coverage. It’s not the greatest but people Hear me and I understand them. I didn’t even install the external mic so I’m using the built in mic. What’s your issue and where was the unit bought from? What’s the order ID for me to check your batch?

No it’s not but obviously you can install a USB to HDMI converter plug adapter

You need obviously to install a camera for you to have a backup camera.
The 360 version needs 4 new cameras that come with it.
I do not support the install because it’s pain in the A$$ to install; many users in the headunit group did it (link to join in description of video)

There are members who did it in the headunit group and followed the 2 videos that we have on TH-cam . So yes , you’ll have a rear backup camera as well.
1 rear , 1 left , 1 right , 1 front . That’s what the 360 package comes with.

All others do, this design is like a Lexus and or the new upper screen style latest vehicles. T10v3.1, T10V2.1b… clock is there.

I myself don’t need to, I’ve done this thousands of times, plus I have a switch on the main battery that I cut feed to the whole truck. I urge everyone else disconnecting the battery when installing. Good point
No fan on the radio is a no-no for me. These radio tens to overheat and stop working after a while, a cooling fan is a must for me
That’s absolutely not right , never heated never had a single issue with the thousands sold! If you have proof of what you are talking, come forward and advise the order ID. These have heat sinks in the back and in the heat of the desert, middle is Texas, middle of the heat, nothing happens ! Been there done that and we have more than 400 units in Texas already installed . Coming to Cold weather, I live in canada , -40-50 Celsius, 0 issues , so I have no idea what you are talking about, just an fyi . Thanks
P.S, your oem headunit doesn’t have a fan as well, if you own a 4Runner . :)
