Finally another video on this stereo. Can you do another video walking through the interface and apps. Using split screen, CarPlay, tuning the radio, phone calls etc. I’m still skeptical of these android units
Yes! Planning to make a video on it, on all of the android head units i’ve use between all of my cars, this is the fastest on, especially on connectin to carplay, or when connecting to wifi.
For my liking i wish it can get a little bit dimmer on its current dimmest settings, but it doesn’t bother me that much, setting it to a dark mode and a dark wallpaper kinda helps.
I have one and it’s amazing. My only problem is I can’t get my SIM card to work. Tried two different ones. It recognizes the sim and I update the apn but I can’t connect to a service.
Hi, yes it’s wireless and wired, my hotspot is on my phone. And carplay works together with wifi, just need to connect the carplay first, Then connect it to my wifi
Does the AC vent relocation change how much air comes out? I live in the South and its HOT... Also, I am looking to get one like this, but I really just want a new head unit for Apple Car Play, would you recommend this one, or are there cheaper, better options for that?
The amount of air coming out decreased, but the air coming out on the side vents feels stronger than before, in general the temp inside is gets cold like normal, i used it for about 45mins drive and i don’t feel any significant difference on the temp still cold. There are cheaper options but not with this kind of screen
Connect all harness that came with the box, make sure they are clip in properly, you should hear the click when pushing them in, make sure the can bus box is clip in too.
With the factory camera it’s acceptable, it degrade because the video gets bigger, birds eye view still works but i can’t access the side and front camera manually. But im totally okay with it.
@@Forged_Garage So I see that the 10 keeps the original vents and the clock. The other one diverts the vents to new ones correct and basically extends taller than the 10? The 12 seems to look very sleek. I think I prefer that look.
@@Forged_Garage can I use it with the vehicles gps antena? I don't want to use an extra dongle or run the GPS antena external or at a higher point when the vehicle has one built in. I was able to use my vehicles gps antena by buying a separate wire that connected the vehicles antena to the dasaita unit I have. Wondering if it would work the same way.
@@Forged_GarageI’m glad you brought the this up. Was going to not get it but this is a good alternative solution. I wonder if they will come out with a unit that can integrate XM radio directly as well.
@lawjilei yeah i’m not sure, for sure there are licensing involved and the actual thing to integrate xm to it will drive the price higher for sure. It will be nice if there’s a XM device you can just plug in to the USB

Also it sounds fine on factory speakers, you just get more settings on the EQ to make it sound better over the factory radio, changing the dash speakers makes it way better! I will change the all of the door speakers soon.

maybe a dumb question but how is the unit getting wifi? is it from being connected to your phone or does it need a separate SIM card?
You have the option to use a sim card directly to the unit. I am currently using my phone as a hotspot since it’s included on my plan.
Do you feel like it gets dim enough at night? Can the screen be turned off? I just don't want my night time serenity interrupted. :P

Sorry I haven’t use the cell service on it yet, still waiting for my sim to get here.
I had Verizon set my sim up as just data no cellular. Was yours set us as data?

My steering wheel controls don't work can you tell me what cable i forgot to connect please
Connect all harness that came with the box, make sure they are clip in properly, you should hear the click when pushing them in, make sure the can bus box is clip in too.
Also on the steering wheel app click on reset and try to map them manually
@@armando1983ful there's a prong that clips from the cabus to the radio...its 2 wires....make sure that's connected

What is the difference between the T10 and the T12

No, it requires to use its own gps antenna, i just left the antenna behind it and it works fine.
Idk if they sell an adapter for that, now im interested doing the same 😂

XM radio will not work
You will need an xm radio app which will require internet if you will use it

Also it sounds fine on factory speakers, you just get more settings on the EQ to make it sound better over the factory radio, changing the dash speakers makes it way better! I will change the all of the door speakers soon.

Keeping the stock, just in case i sell the 4runner in the future i can put it back to stock
