Pretty sure the roof rack is the Sherpa Crestone. The ladder is probably from them as well.
Do these guys sell anything or are they just a wholesaler/fab shop.And do they answer comments that would be great to..I want a yotaforce grill for my 2gen.
On my 4 Runner build I went with a GOBI rack. They custom make it one piece. No rattling. That was about 2300 hundred and 4 months build time.

I’m on my second 5th gen 4Runner. Both 4wd. First one was an sr5 premium, second is a trd off road premium.
It’s tough when the wife says she doesn’t want the ride to change. Tall order but ended up simple. Installed bilstein 5100s all the way around. Set front at 2.5 inches and a small spacer in the rear 1.5 inches. Ride was vastly improved and not punishing since we kept the stock springs. Went on a road trip with 4 adults fully loaded down. It handled amazing on and off road. Even had Bridgestone at revo 3’s in the stock size.
The now 4 runner came from the dealer with a 3 inch lift and bfg ko 285’s. Unfortunately it came with spacers. I will be getting the 5100’s once again.
My dad and I put 5100s in the front and the 8000 ones with reservoirs in the rear with beefy tires fully armored only thing we need is steel bumpers and a winch and we're set
What kind of Bumper normally comes with a 4 runner, some kind of ABS PLASTIC CRAP !
There are better made tires out there than BRIDGESTONE, why don't you look into GOODYEAR OR LES SWABE (depending where you live, in what state)
I was hesitant on the Amber running lights as well, but the contrast with the Lunar Rock and matching everything else looks amazing!
If I understand it right, when it comes to putting on a "lift kit ", it can also raise havoc on the FRONT BEARING'S which means they will go out more often and this information applies to ALL of the 4 RUNNERS.
This looks so good. I have always loved the 4runner

Nice build, however I did not see any rust protection be applied to all the drilling and cutting of metal surfaces. They become weak piont for really bad rust to develop. They should have used paint, fluid film, silicone, etc. Just keep an eye on it. Congrats on your overland rig 👍
Man, at least I wasn’t the only one yelling at the screen when I saw them smashing in the quarter panels, drilling holes, and modifying the brand new rear bumper, THEN LEAVING IT ALL EXPOSED TO MOISTURE!?!?! That is so wrong, that bumper will be rusty in 6 months, nevermind what will happen to the quarter panels hiding under there getting soaked and salty etc. That poor girl, she trusted those guys. I just can’t believe out of all those guys there working NOBODY said or did anything? I wish I knew how to contact that poor girl so I could warn her. At my shop, where we do these builds, all of it, not half, if one of my employees did that they would be picking up trash on the side of the road for 2 weeks and they all know it! I have to say, I was surprised to see that shop empty and all his employees working on one quick little bolt on job too. I get nervous when a shop is that quiet and they’re able to all work on one vehicle. I know that we are at least 4 months out on those builds. I feel like every custom/off-road shop that is good at what they do is jammed with work. We have work on the property for 3 years or more and so do other shops I know of(the talented ones anyhow). The knuckleheads will take a job like that tomorrow and screw it all up and then wind up at my shop getting it fixed shortly after lol. She did pick some good stuff tho, that’s a great lift kit/suspension and C4 stuff is nice. What he said about aluminum was so far off base tho, that concerns me too. Aluminum is way better in almost all applications, lighter and stronger. Way lighter, which is good on that truck. It is going to be very noticeable how sluggish it is with all that weight added. Then she’ll add whatever gear she carries and it will be a tank. Happens every time our customers want steel bumpers and big heavy tire carriers on them. Anyway, rant over haha. Definitely looks excellent and she’s happy, that’s what really counts in the end.

I wish I had $20,000 of fun money to blow on my Taco TuRD Pro. That must be so exciting to do all that. I’d be like a kid on Christmas morning doing $20,000 in your upgrades too my Taco TuRD Pro.. it’s basically the TRD Pro but the base model with no TRD anything.
I think those are the springs I need! The ship I went to sold me the wrong springs. I’m not 100% happy with my suspension and I have the same Fox shocks

Looks like my 2022 TRD OR-P Lunar Rock (the before shots). I guess if you want the look of the lights, I’d save money and keep the stock LED’s.

For the price of those bumpers, there is no reason they should ship as bare metal. Black powder coat standard or an upcharge for a color option.

Just bought my 1st TRD Offroad Premium. It was a one owner preowned. Where can the average Joe go to get some custom work similar to these done? Love the idea of just getting new shocks and struts at some point and perhaps better lighting front and back. Don't think I need all the armor because I probably won't drive in the extremes like she does.

Dope 4Runner build. I have a 2018 TRDOR myself. That thing must get like 11-12 MPG because a bone stock 4Runner is only getting about 18 MPG highway
Yeah with steel bumpers, sliders, armor and a rooftop tent you have to be losing a lot of your max payload not too mention gas mileage, but nobody who is going to build one out like this cares much about that.
If you build a Tacoma or 4 Runner for serious off roading, gas mileage doesn't matter. Getting rescued costs way more money then the extra fuel costs.
Also damage to a poorly equipped off road vehicle, the costs of repair cover the extra money spent on fuel.
@@useryggfdcc No doubt. I guess my mindset is that I still use my 4Runner as a daily driver, so some of these builds seem ridiculous. That said, if folks actually use it to its full capability it makes sense.
That 4Runner looks great! I love the color on it. I'm doing up my 2022 F150 a little at a time as I can afford it. But doing it all at once works too. Lol. Good job! Can't wait for off roading. If there's already a video please send it to me. Thanks!
Allot of upgrades I think if you're a pure off-road person this is pretty dope. I would have just bought a Lexus GX instead since in the end I think that 20k extra puts you in that territory. Just depends on what you use it for. At least now with the 4Runner you are not getting a Turbo unlike the GX so that's a big plus. Really wish the 4runner still had the V8's.

I'd probably want some armor over my catalytic converter too because NY is now a big CC theft zone.

great build. used to mod about the same amount in my older vehicles but can't emphasize, invest your money elsewhere... that 20k could have been invested wiser. now i just drive my cars stock

my brother ended up driving a 2020 4 runner after sending their car to get fixed. absolutely hated it. i did as well as i had to drive it to the dealership lol i despised the way it felt and the interior. i hope yours is far better lol idk if i’d be able to overland in one

Interested to know how much the vehicle weighed before and after the upgrades. A lot of steel was added. Also, how did this change the city & highway MPG? Finally, how did it change the 0-60 MPH time? Seems like all of these areas likely degraded in performance and turned this 4Runner into purely an off-road vehicle that's better off not being used for trips to the grocery store or even long haul trips. Nice work but the $20,000 in upgrades seems like only the beginning of the long term cost that comes at the fuel pump.
You also have to consider when someone drops this much on a 4wd vehicle they very likely also own a stock car for daily driving.
@@josephdover198 At that point the owner concedes that it's too expensive to operate on a regular basis. It becomes a garage queen. A 4-Runner should be a vehicle you can get in and go to the grocery story if you want, without second guessing how much that trip will cost. I get your point. The car is highly specialized. This comes at the cost of having it sit, un-used, for long periods.
@@RedondoBeach2 4Runner's do not have to be grocery store shoppers mate. She probably owns a stock Camry or Accord for that.
