These are questions for an endocrinologist not an hair transplant specialist. It’s like asking a masseur about your heart condition 😂

Dr Bhatti says at + 39:00, that transplanted hair will FALL OUT after short time IF on TRT (testosterone treatment). It is extremly important using proper dose of Finasteride and/or dutasteride! This fits perfectly with other reserch I`ve read about. There is reason to believe that HT is not gonna last for long anyway IF NOT taking a proper dose of finasteride at the same time. It is a lifelong treatment for those who want to keep their hair.

I would like to see the results of so-called successful hair transplants that were performed 10 - 20 years ago.
1: Is there less DHT circulating in the donor area and is that the reason why we normally do not lose hair in this area? And..
2: is there normally more DHT circulating in the recipient area, front, mid-scalp and crown?
If the answer is yes to both questions above, then there is no such thing as DHT resistant hair for those with hereditary hair loss. In that case, it is extremly critical to use the right dose of finasteride, and perhaps also in combination with dutasteride (for most of us).

He said you can take breaks as it builds up in the system anyway
Does that not contradict theory of taking it at night for more effectiveness?

Everywhere i look, it says it doesn't matter when one takes finasteride, just make sure you take it consistently same time of day. Also, the Doctor mentions blood concentration peaks about 6 - 8 hrs after taking a dose, everywhere else say it peaks 1 -2 hrs after taking a dose.

30% side effects within the first weeks? That's an insane number, all the studies shows a much lower incidence in sides even in the first period of usage

the 5AR enzyme does not have a half-life of 30-60 days as mentioned by Dr Bhatti.
It's hard to measure as it varies a lot depending on many biological parameters and corresponding cellular mechanisms.
But In healthy young males it's generally about a few hours or more at best.
However it takes about 30 days for it to regenerate after it's been inhibited. I hope this is what he was trying to say.

I am almost 3 months in using topical min and shedding some small hairs and they are all in same diameter and size. Is it an indication of the medicine working?

    • @ThaSpeedsterZ
      @ThaSpeedsterZ หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes but you should add finasteride. The shedding is a result of your hair cycle being sped up. But your follicles won't be saved. They'll continue dying and in about two years you'll notice worsening results. I made that mistake to start

If you have a bad diet full of processed foods, carbohydrates, under stress due to life style, having insulin resistance, watching corn with p, consuming drugs and alcohol, having low intake of animal protein and saturated fat, then you will not get good results, no matter what you do or what you take.

@@desmomotodesmomoto2033 --You totally misunderstand him desmomoto. His point is the following: There are many homeless people who are alcohol addicted, are malnourished, obviously have tremendous life stressors, sleep poorly, smoke, you name it. However, many homeless people have full heads of hair without a trace of male pattern baldness.
This implies that the sensitivity to DHT is what drives AGA; something that has been proven time and time again in the scientific community surrounding this disorder.
