Fred seeing you react to this era of music is so cool. You can see in your eyes how much you connect with that time in your life. Its also so interesting watching you reflect on tbs songs. This may be too personal of a topic for you (but maybe not). I think a ton of us would love to know what ultimately lead to your decision to leave the band, and if looking back now if there was any regret in that decision. I dont know how close you are with any of the guys anymore. But one of my dreams would be to see everything come full circle now that everyone is older, and for you to rejoin the band. Even if it was for a short run of shows. I would pay anything to see a tbs supergroup on stage together. Glad for all these videos Fred!
God I love this era of Music. Its especially nice to see Finch represented. Back when I was touring, they were always one of the nicest groups of people to play with. Randy was such a cool guy.
Love it. Can’t believe you never heard Finch - Letters to You before now, Fred. Would have thought it’d have at least been on your radar from being in the scene back then!
Yewwww awesome video Fred!! Love every song here. My first concert at a big venue was you guys and weezer in 04 at Nassau coliseum on Long Island. Amazing show thanks for music and memories man!!

Being 51, I am the elder statesman for sure. Caught on to the "emo" stylings from a band called Sunny Day Real Estate. Being an 80's kid, I listened to Punk, early Ska, Dark/ New Wave and Goth so, Emo was a natural transition I believe. Love this channel Fred. New sub dude!!🖤
You brought up the emo's not dead guy, you gotta do a review of his parody/homage video called Letter to Ashley by Your Broken Hero...one of the funniest but also catchiest tunes. I think Chris C had a hand in writing it, but would love to see you react to that video. Lots of love Fred.
I have some suggestions for future video: Wires and the Concept of Breathing - A Skylit Dive I Never Wanted To - Saosin Ready, Set, Go - Tokio Hotel The Great Escape - Boys Like Girls Things that Rhyme With Orange - ISMFOF
The Used IS my favorite band of all time. Debut album is perfection but it was In Love and Death that pulled me in. Quinn is THE reason I play guitar. I’ve gone to several shows and have met them twice ! And of course every other song in this list is pure gold :) I appreciate these reaction videos
Glad to find you here, Fred. You're one of the very few famous people who replied to my tweets back in the early days of Twitter, lol. I just wanna say hi. 😀
This was my scene in my late teens/early twenties. I will always love that time, & this music. Thanks so much for these reaction videos bro, its taking me back.
Fred seems like the kind of guy who wants to keep things positive. I am guessing he is avoiding Brand New because it would be hard to keep it positive, not only because of their rocky relationship with TBS but the disturbing allegations against Jesse.
Caught you at an “Emo Night” set in Atlantic City a couple years back, and it was definitely one of the best nights of my life, and you were a big part of that, thank you Fred! Hope to see you at one of those shows again soon!
Say anything (...is a real boy) The Starting Line (say it like you mean it), Underoath (chasing safety, The Early November (room's too cold), Motion city soundtrack (commit this to memory), Alkaline Trio (good mourning or crimson) god this channel has so much unlimited potential.
Great watch again! Would love to see a react video to some additional early late 2000s bands... Story of the year, Brand new, Thrice, Brand New, Saves The Day, The Starting Line, Hawthorne Heights, Anberlin, new found glory, saves the day... OR newer emo/punk songs/groups... The Story So Far, Knuckle Puck, Neck Deep, Polar Bear Club, state champs...
There isn't a single video of yours where, when you introduce the song, I haven't nodded and smiled to myself at the nostalgic memories. I'm loving reliving my teen-hood at the moment and these videos are helping me rediscover some of the songs I'd forgotten I loved back in the day. Hearing your personal anecdotes about your tour days is just awesome, especially since I live in a non-tour stop town in Australia so I never really had the chance to see many of these bands live. You're making this 30 year old emo feel very proud and nostalgic. Thank you so much ♥ Also, your fangirling and nearly crying over MCR (my favourites ever, AVA is a very close 2nd) is everything to me.
You watching the Black Parade video brought me back to seeing MCR and TBS on the 2007 Projekt Revolution tour in Camden. That was one of my first live music experiences and I'll never forget it.
Hidden in Plain View are a good shout too! Twenty Below is a great track! That crop of bands on Drive Thru Records were the first I heard that played towards this genre. The Early November were kings of emo to me, Ever So Sweet is an all time favourite! Such a beautiful song
I remember I went to Warped Tour in St. Pete FL (2008?) and I saw you Fred walking after your Color Fred set and I went up to you to say Hi and you talked to me for a lot longer than I expected you to and you were the nicest guy. Always remembered that & was a great memory. Thank you & love the channel.
@31:25 - did we notice the fancier guitar at the end? Hell yeah we did! In fact, I found your YT video about your equipment setup because I wanted to know more about the sound. Using the volume peddle to go clean to distorted was brilliant (as in "Liar")... and having the presence set to zero on the head only made sense considering how awesome the band's overall presence was on stage. 😁
My band played with the color Fred a couple years ago at The Chance and Fred is definitely one of the nicest dudes. Glad to see you pumping out content.
Louder Now has some of my favorite Taking Back Sunday tracks and everything just slaps like a brick and i loved you guitar tone in it. It was big without being too distorted. Love the reaction videos and just the respect for everyone in the scene. This is the industry at its best. Also yes that MCR video just cemented them as kings I've never seen anything quite like it.
Fred, the thing I love about these videos is you can plainly see, that you are such a genuine fan of this genre. You are a living legend of the scene, and you can just see the look of pure joy on your face while listening and talking about these tracks and bands. Love it!
One thing I always loved about my chemical romance is their guitars. Always very tasty solos and riffs. Almost like heavy metal or 80’s rock vibe guitars, mixed with that fast power chords of punk rock and emo style vocals. I always liked how they blended a bunch of different styles together
I can’t believe i just found this channel! Fred, you are the coolest dude. I met you 100 years ago in Clinton, MA where BP played with Orange Island. My friends and I started a band after that show. And I still have my Breaking Pangea shirt!

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but thank you for being a real chill dude and doing all of this!
I recently fell in love with The Black Parade, as it's a great album to listen to while doing my janitor job. I saw them in early 2000 (maybe) when they were touring the midwest (Michigan, specifically) in support of their 1st album. I remember the vibe they put off, seeing them at the Local 432 in Flint Mi - at the time, that dark, mysterious vampire vibe was fresh. There was a lot of unique bands on the scene in the beginning of the millennium...all the way through the late 2000s. So many bands that never pressed an album, too.
I forgot how great Tom Lord-Alge's mix is on "The Adventure". Man, it's so crispy. Also, sharing one of my favorite TBS songs didn't hurt at all. The guitar and drum part are so iconic. And that bridge. Oooooh man. So good.
I SWEAR Finch is one of the most underrated bands in the scene. They were SO good! By you saying you learned about a new band proved my point. They had such an underground following, it was AMAZING!
Thank you Fred! I’m happy to find your channel. Back in 2004 I lived in a very small Russian town and spent my nights browsing the internet and downloading tbs, Underoath, Thursday’s and other bands MP3s one by one. It seems so far far from me and even I was lucho y to get to my first US emo shows in 2007 and had a chance to chill with few big bands of this era lately, I was wondering how good it was hanging out with all these bands in 2003-2005 and your stories are awesome! Thanks for taking me back in time!
I love This Photograph is Proof. My now 13 yr old daughter and I blast this song every time we feel EMO. Thank you for writing this song it’s so Epic. Also, I love hearing your factoids when you react to the videos. More TBS reactions please. BTW, which SG year/model was the fancier guitar?
The first time I saw you live was on your tour with Blink 182 in SLC. I can still remember when you announced on stage that you were coming out with a new CD and plus music from it. I felt so cool cause I was the only kid in my group who knew who you were. You are an extremely down to earth man, Fred! I really enjoy your videos and music!
I just stumbled upon your channel after going on a hunt for old TBS and Thursday songs and I’m super stoked to see you still out here doing new songs and even these cool videos. I met you like 15 years ago at a show and you were super nice to me as a 15 year old kid. Keep the content rolling I’ll be staying tuned in!
I saw Thursday play in a little club called higher ground in winooski VT. Way back I want to say late 2001 or early 2002? I still remember the shirt Geoff was wearing. Green T shirt with 'getting lucky in Kentucky' on the front.
By the way, I 100% noticed your fancy guitar playing at the end of This Photograph is Proof. That and the chord progression change at the end. What a perfect song.
I love when Thursday plays in long island, I always try my hardest to catch their shows. I also love how fred is a true fan of the music! And quicksand is so good lol
My first paid concert was TBS and A&AW in Camden, NJ in ‘06. Was a huge Blink fan growing up and then a huge TBS fan in college so it was like a melding of my worlds and it was wonderful!
I remember seeing The Color Fred with Angels and Airwaves (and Ace Enders and A Million Different People) at Newport in Columbus Ohio. What an incredible night.
Man this took me down memory lane. This whole video was my 8th-12th grade life. Taking back sunday really got me started on this type of music when I was about 15. A friend who listened to stuff like nirvana, finger 11, 12 stones etc introduced me to TBS. Instantly fell in love. Before that I was all about good Charlotte, linkin park, green day and I was literally listening to the same CD's on repeat for years, I didn't know anything else existed lol. Then I found MCR and man, they changed my life. I was devastated when they broke up, I never thought of it as a possibility. Finch is a recent find for me too. I came across their song "what it is to burn" a few years ago and loved it. Thanks for this man, means a lot to see other people love the music you do. P.S. I had no idea who you were before you explained in the video. Sorry
i would appreciate if you could include "Funeral For A Friend - Juneau" or "Escape Artist never Die" they are my all time fav and the first record "casually dressed and deep in conversation" is maybe the best record i've ever herd
Great work - 42 now and still an emo kid!!! Silverstein is my favorite band of that era. Glad that you learn about Finch!!! Their song "What it is to burn" is an emo anthem and still wow!!!
Yooo it's Fred from one of my favorite bands growing up. This is really cool to see 🙌🏿 Love your commentary on these songs. Thanks for giving us this glimpse into that world from the artists side.
Vindicated takes me back. I was a huge Spider-Man fan when I was nine years old. I received the soundtrack as a Christmas gift and it quickly became my favorite CD I ever owned. I listened to it everyday. That CD got me into all the music I listen to now.
Whoa, I didn’t know the guy who screamed in TBS had a TH-cam channel. Thanks for providing a part to my HS soundtrack, I was obsessed with Tom Delonge 🤣. I only have one tattoo; the Atticus bird.
Is it just me, or does Fred seem like the nicest person in the entire world?

I really feel a great energy when you're reacting to these videos and remembering stories, Fred. Keep the emo alive! Greetings from Brazil!
Thanks for watching!! Someday, I hope to come play Brazil.
My main SG is a Special from ‘98. The red one that says ‘Lily’. Thanks for watching ❤️
Welcome To The Fred Parade
Yes
You're too fucking cool to be this humble.
At the Drive-in “One Armed Scissor” plzzzzzz!!!!
My introduction to them in high school was this album th-cam.com/video/aM15KGAOuE0/w-d-xo.html
They’re from my hometown. I used to watch them play garage shows
@@ZionsPapi1337 that’s awesome I saw them in 1998. They were orchestrated chaos so much energy...
Hopefully he reacts to them in the next video.

I can't wait to watch this one. I remember watching the first one around july.
By the way, I 100% noticed your fancy guitar playing at the end of This Photograph is Proof. That and the chord progression change at the end.
What a perfect song.
You make my life! Thank you!!😁
I want you back in Taking back Sunday! You played a direct part in their golden era.
I love when Thursday plays in long island, I always try my hardest to catch their shows. I also love how fred is a true fan of the music! And quicksand is so good lol
Thursday brings back great memories of high school.Dudes voice is unique.
the journey Fred, what an exceptional time! so much talent! Bravo
Needs way more Saves The Day! Love the videos brother, thanks for doing them.
Definitely gonna include them soon! Thanks for watching
My first paid concert was TBS and A&AW in Camden, NJ in ‘06. Was a huge Blink fan growing up and then a huge TBS fan in college so it was like a melding of my worlds and it was wonderful!
I can only imagine what it would be like if fred joined dashboard and shouted for them. Hands down would be a scary song.
Thanks for bringing my old college days back 👍🙏
Glad you’re here! They were great times!!
Fred´s face during "this photograph is proof" was definitively proof that he misses those guys :D
Good nostalgia though
You were a hero to us growing up and still are! Totally rad you also did some songs on the NJPP stream.
I remember seeing The Color Fred with Angels and Airwaves (and Ace Enders and A Million Different People) at Newport in Columbus Ohio. What an incredible night.
One of my favorite tours ever!
The era of Fred in TBS was the best. One of my favorite band ever. And I also love the color of Fred. Great musician. Thanks man!
Sorry
All good man! Glad you’re here!
i would appreciate if you could include "Funeral For A Friend - Juneau" or "Escape Artist never Die" they are my all time fav and the first record "casually dressed and deep in conversation" is maybe the best record i've ever herd
I gotta check that out. Thanks for suggesting!
Great work - 42 now and still an emo kid!!! Silverstein is my favorite band of that era. Glad that you learn about Finch!!! Their song "What it is to burn" is an emo anthem and still wow!!!
you can really see the joy, memories and nostalgia in his eyes. love the reaction
Such great times!
Yooo it's Fred from one of my favorite bands growing up. This is really cool to see 🙌🏿
Love your commentary on these songs.
Would love to see you react to Your Broken Hero-A letter to Ashley. #emosnotdead.
I said the same, he said he was working on it i think..that song is the best homage/parody ever. So gahd damn catchy
Oh man do I miss my Macbeths! What a fun trip down memory lane. Going to When We Were Young Mr. Mascherino?? What a crazy line up! 😳
