@@splash_csc8593 @wrth I realized it helps a lot to copy the Xbox controller emulator program in the game's folder FIRST before opening so it can create the xinput dll file and other necessary files. It didn't work for me to open the Xbox emulator elsewhere and then copy / paste to the game folder. Like wrth said it's to trick your game into thinking your controller is an xbox controller. For the record, I have Windows 10 and this worked for me when following the instructions in the video.

THANK YOU!!! I was trying to get an old game (Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix) to detect my generic controller and this fixed it. By following your exact instructions (besides the installer--I got the 32 bit version of the xbox emulator with "x86" at the end) it worked just as it should.

Guys for anybody who has the problem of it not seeing controller (if you have a red light or the xbox controller image is faded) go to advanced settings and unmark pass trough.
@@Wladaas I unplugged the controller and pluggled again, then I hited the "clear" button, then "reset" and at last "auto" button. It worked just fine to find the controller. The red light turned green as soon as I heard the sound.

Did just about everything you said but still doesn't work...trying this in shadow of tomb raider with an old ps2 wireless controller which has a receiver connected to pc via usb..the mapping is perfect and whatever buttons I press on my controller, the xbox emulator shows it just fine...it's just in the game that it doesn't work...any idea why? This is really wierd... Everything works fine except for the A, B, X and Y buttons. For some reason they are mis-aligned. Changing them doesn't change anything at all... it's like the whole program works except that one part!

Thanks it's working great now. But it doesn't need to be in a specific game folder now with the new update. I put it on startup, so now I don't need to do anything for any games anymore. Basically just on my pc and game on.

*INSTALLATION ERRORS* I'm have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit I downloaded Sniper Art Of Victory from Steam I first tried to install the x360ce 64bit and it told me to install the 32bit instead and so I did. Everything went fine even with searching for the button configurations from online but it then gave me 2 errors: 1) x360ce.exe-system error saying "The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer" 2) Unknown Error saying "failed to load 'xinput1_3.dll'

it worked , look t the panel youll see controller 1 beside , whem youll move your joystick it will respond , then close it , open again unplug you first controller and setup the second one it wil do the reseach and it will be automatically seted up ad then save. if it doesnt work hit me back

i have a generic wired ps4 controller, and I have tried quite a lot of things to get it to work. DS4Windows will not detect my controller so I was trying this, it detects my controller and I can get everything set-up, but it just doesn't have any input ingame. I was wondering if anyone has any tips.
Only the analog sticks works in-game... Followed all of the steps, both the sticks and buttons respond inside of the x360 but only the analogs in-game :/

@@duce_is_IQ if you want to use a wireless Xbox 360 controller you need a wireless reciever for it, for wireless its basically plug and play
