    I'm so glad I never saw this show before. I haven't had TV network availability for over 20 years. I didn't really have the time to watch this program before. Now it's free.

    That’s a poor job, he probably used the wrong amount of cement or the cheap one to save money and profit more. Cement is not supposed to look like that after only 6 months.

      sometimes a job may have unexpected future problems , thats life , science and weather and other factors can interfere with all types of work results but is does not mean the person who did the work was at fault , things can just happen on their own sometimes , ask any doctor or lawyer or contractor and they will all tell you that nothing is guaranteed . the plaintiff never proved that the defendant actually did the job incorrectly and i have seen this same judge rule the other way on similar cases where she ruled that the plaintiff never proved that the defendant did something wrong , she is not consistent with her rulings alot ot the time .

    It it was me, and I made 42k from the job, I would have done the sidewalk over for free. Word of mouth advertising is a powerful thing, positive or negative.

    I live in Michigan. Salt trucks come down my street, and our sidewalks do not look like that. And some people use low temperature salt pellets.

    Bro never shook the bubbles out of the concrete!! He didn’t vibrate it at all

    • @Sophie-mm7ow
      @Sophie-mm7ow 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's exactly what happened. We had a slab poured for our new house and watched them pour it. They didn't vibrate the concrete at all. I asked the contractor why they didn't vibrate the bubbles out, and he told me that it wasn't necessary because it was a "beautiful warm day out and it would set just fine." Not only did they not vibrate it, they took the forms off the same day. Imagine that sidewalk was 2,000 square feet of concrete that is supposed to be stained and polished for the floors. Our entire house looks like that, not to mention the cracks and chunks of concrete coming out. The defendant must work for our builder. He has the same idea as to what a good job is. We can't even put flooring over the concrete without having a special compound and sealer put on it to keep it from crumbling under the new floors, and there's still no guarantee that won't happen. The defendant did a crappy job on the sidewalk and thinks he can blame it on the salt. If that was the case, every sidewalk that has had salt on it would look like that. He also probably poured that part of the job last, and the concrete was mixing too long in the truck and cold weather. There's a reason concrete is poured in the warmer months.

    Salt does not eat concrete! Salt in water lowers the freezing point of water, which can permeate/ migrate into concrete and cause spalling when temperatures get considerably lower. All outdoor concrete should have what is called entrained air added. Entrained air is a liquid that's added to the truck when being batched that puts thousands of small air bubbles in concrete. These small air bubbles in the concrete allow for the expansion of the frozen salt water, and do limited to no damage to the concrete in freezing climates. The other reasons concrete spalls is that it was poured to wet, or allowed to freeze before curing (which happens all the time). Adding to much water to the mix either before or on the job site makes it's easier to pour and finish but usually gives a poor result and product

    Image ratio fail. Why are you squeezing 16:9 footage into 4:3 and putting the bars there? It’s not 4:3 to begin with.

    We don’t use salt on our driveway. At the edge of the street about 2 feet & up , it is pock-marked and from salt. The salt trucks come around and the salt travels. Right at the edge of my driveway/apron is shredded from the salt. That’s unavoidable.

    Looks like the concrete was either too wet, overworked (floated too much), and/or the outside temperature was extremely hot when placed. It definitely appears that the cement separated from the concrete mix to the top of the finished product.
