    I have the same car, 2005, almost same color. Same rust underneath too. In fact my fuel filter bracket is gone, rusted right off. Thanks for the video.

    Great video👍🏽Just finished doing tHis on my 03 impala yesterday. Ran into two issues. Due to extreme rust the bracket and a fuel line broke while removing fuel filter. So be ready for that. Also it looks like they don't sell or make the bracket anymore. Im still looking for one. Thanks for the post. Be safe everyone.

    Awesome video Truck master.
    I have a question if you could answer please. My fuel line connecting to the fuel filter has rusted badly. The bolt just wont budge. What would this fuel line be called? Also is there some sort of way i can only order this one line?
    Thanks in advanced this video was very clear and straight forward. Keep it up.

    • @TruckMaster
      @TruckMaster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s called a fuel line but definitely you can order just that one line the best place to get it is your local dealership

      Did you try holding the nut on the fuel line steady in one position and unscrew the filter from the line?

    Good video easy fix but all these guys forget to tell the importance of making sure the o-ring is properly placed inside the quick disconnect that plugs into the fuel filter. If the o-ring is missing or not placed properly you will end up with a major leak.

    Thanks man, you were a big help, but when changing, the fuel filter do I need to take the pressure off it .. ?

    • @TruckMaster
      @TruckMaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Charis Vereen yes your right the only reason I didn't is because it was leaking so the pressure was already relived

      This might be a dumb question but how do u relieve the fuel pressure?

    What should I do if it’s rusted on there pretty good? Or have a stripped bolt?

    I have an 01 Impala that is doing this exact same thing. Hope mine is as easy to do. One question though, did you have to remove a fuse or something else to relieve fuel pressure first? I do know it stops slobbering fuel when the ignition is OFF, but when the key is ON it will. Thanks for the video. This’ll help me a lot.

      Just leave your gas cap open to relieve fuel pressure

    Hi nice vid, but my 03 Chevy Monte is Hesitating and not much pressure when I pushing on the gas pedal it takes forever to accelerate. I know not driving the vehicle yourself it’s hard to diagnose but from what I just told you what do you think it is?

    • @rob2927
      @rob2927 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless u can trust ur jack then u will have no issues. I have a hydraulic jack and i can jack my car up and come back in 5 day's and it might have lowered a inch in that time. I would trust my jack over any jack stands

    •  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      100 percent, don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise. It’s very dangerous to trust just a jack

    my pt cruiser has the same symptom. it's been sitting for over a year. I hope it wasn't something as simple as a fuel filter and I just let it sit forever, 😂.

    Do you have to remove most of the fuel first? Or does the fuel not flow if the car is not on

    • @TruckMaster
      @TruckMaster  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andrew Offen no you don’t have to drain the fuel but obviously there will be gas leaking once you pull this part

    • @manuewiko17
      @manuewiko17 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      you can pull out the relay by the fuse box and ran the engine
      to relieve the fuel pressure before breaking the line open
      to avoid the gasoline mess .

      U don't need no stinking jack stands!!!! I have a shit ton on wooding blocks i use to stack up under the car's i work on. Sometimes i use a hydraulic jack to jack the vehicle up in the air and then i jack my scissor jack up to help support the first jack and it also gives me some since of safety
